I'm sure some people don't want to, and maybe teachers feel like it takes the attention away from them, but some parents still want to be involved. Sitting in a narrow hallway on uncomfortable furniture is not the idea for parents waiting an hour and a half. 4. Return policy, return unused items within one week for store credit. I mean come on "store credit?" Like I said nothing personal against the staff at all, they are all fantastic, but the studio, and it's hours need some work.

However, I had the chance to attend 3 different events/recitals given by Graystone and the overall impression that I got was not very good. Two of the events were in a ramsackle church with shoddy production values and lackluster appeal; the third was held in the aging Taylor Auditorium at MSSU and it came off like someone's last minute effort to stage a children's production. The most senior students (in their teens) did not perform at the level I would expect from long term students of dance, although it was assured that they had been taking classes for many years. I think Graystone would be a great experience for kids who aren't seriously pursuing dance, but just want a fun extracurricular activity and self esteem boost. If your child has serious dance aspirations I'd strongly suggest you look elsewhere, even if it is more expensive!

Solomon's Dance Studio is what is known as a recreational dance studio. This means they do not…read moreemphasize technique, instead they focus on preparing the students for their recital in the spring. This is not a pre-professional school, and your child will not be prepared to go into dance just from taking classes here unless they are profoundly gifted and highly motivated. Often the dance moves are technically inappropriate for the students because they have not been taught the basic technique that under-grids the maneuvers. Although they do "ballet" it is really more like jazz. You should be aware that the recital is the entire focus of this studio. Starting in September or October the classes will begin learning the choreography and will spend seven to eight months learning their dances, of which each class will have two, and some will have three. Costumes are ordered in December and recital fees are paid usually in February. A video will be made by the teachers and assistants available for purchase in February or March that students can use at home to help them practice their choreography. The recitals have been performed at Racine Christian Church because they have a large stage and auditorium. They are also filmed and DVDs can be purchased at the recital, delivered usually in July. The studio is a very family-values place which will provide a fun, safe, dance experience. The students are cheerfully taught, and each class has one or two older students who help out with the younger ones. No uniforms are worn, instead children are encouraged to wear something they like, as long as its appropriate to dance in. Shoes are required and are purchased by style in the fall to match what they will need for their recital in the spring. A used /free box is maintained that parents are allowed to go shoe shopping in to save costs.

I owned my own company (A Bridge Of Hope) helping families find programs for their troubled teens that needed out of home placement. As an advocate for families I was very picky about placing a teen in a program without going and living in the program for a few days and having access to talk to the teens myself. I called up Agape Boarding school and asked if I could come for a visit they were happy to have me come visit them. I since have been placing teens in their program with great results. Agape has unique options such as trades for the teens and they really teach these boys how to become awesome young men! The staff have such gifted hearts and desires for working with teens. They love those boys and care deeply for their families and lives are changed because of it. I would recommend Agape to anyone that has a teen that needs out of home placement.

The seating is quite tight, many people weren't expecting it to be that tight I guess and weren't happy about it but it's an old theater so it is what it is. The line to the bar is a bit confusing. But, I can't believe how far $250 a night got us in this resort. The suite was incredible clean and spacious. Everything seemed relatively updated, maintained, and very clean. The resort grounds were immaculate. The lodge/style resort rooms looked great. The adult-ish pool area looks much better than the online pictures. In fact, we commented that this was the one resort we've ever stayed in where the pictures didn't do the room and grounds justice. Most places filter and photoshop the crap out of their pictures. The staff and clientele were polite and friendly. The strip is nearby, if tourist traps are your thing, but the resort feels secluded. The only thing I can think to comment on is that there really isn't a view, which is no big deal. I think that's why it's priced slightly lower than the other resorts that have views. The grounds are nice enough to look at and the aforementioned aspects are more important. We'd stay here again. It was a nice surprise.
