The fact that you have to put a large deposit down and schedule your surgery in order to meet with the Surgeon should be the first red flag. Being awake during surgery should be the second red flag. I went ahead and put down my deposit and scheduled the surgery for Jan 6th, the consultant setup my date and time of surgery. I scheduled Lipo of my waist and Abdomen. When I arrived at the office for my pre-op visit, I was informed that the time had changed on the surgery. I mean I put a huge deposit down on the date and time of that surgery, had a ride planned out to drive me. This was disappointing to begin with. I was taken back and the girl taking my BP did not know how to use the BP cuff. I had my consult with Dr. Goldenburg which was ok. I was alot disturbed that he would only give Tylenol with codeine for pain after the procedure and told me to take two at a time with #15 pills, smh. On procedure day, the dr did not wash his hands or scrub in, just walked in and put sterile gloves on, i was in shock as an OR nurse but at this point, I could do nothing. I feel like they waited too long to take me in medicated and get started, because my meds wore off completely! It was as if I wasn't in the room, neither the nurse or the dr asked me if I was ok, not once. I honestly dk what has happened to healthcare, even if its plastic surgery. I was in so much pain, I was grabbing on the arms of the table for dear life, tears were flowing uncontrollably. It was bad! A barbaric experience! I do not recommend to anyone having this done while awake and with no pain medication, slightly medicated. I was placed in a binder and sent home, with instructions to place the garment on when I get home. When i got home i had blood flowing out of every one of the holes. I feel that the nurse should have put me in the garment to begin with, to make it easier on me, the patient. That night, I was in crying pain, i could not get comfortable and my pain was a 10/10. I called the after hours number and the dr called in tramadol for me. Which I clearly couldn't get until the next day. The first night was the worst, i suffered! Patients should not have to suffer bc dr do not want to give proper pain medications after SURGERY! The staff did not seem very knowledgeable and there was just a strange aura. They changed my post op apt on me 2 times. It just seemed unorganized. But they got their money and I feel that seems to be all SonoBello is interested in when it should be a positive patient/client experience. I would not recommend this to anyone. I am ok with the results as of now, 1 month post op. I feel it could be better for the price. If I had to do it all over again, I would find a Board Certified Plastic surgeon and have this surgery done under anesthesia, with a better surgeon, one who cares for the patient. I would also add that a follow up phone call from a Dr or a Nurse would have been appropriate after the pain I was in and the call to the after service. Never received one and never even saw the dr against post op apt. Definitely not worth the torture, pain, or money. I do not recommend sonobello, don't listen to the YouTubers who had great experiences! I'm putting this review on Yelp, beachside clearly Sonobello only posts their positive reviews on their website. no way they should have 5 stars. read more
