My review is for the Oakbrook/Schaumburg offices. Every bad review about this company is right! I thought I was making an informed decision. I did my homework and decided to give Sono Bello a chance. If i would of really looked at the reviews closer, I would have noticed a pattern of reviews only for the consult being great. That is how they hook you. The scammers that do the consults are paid on commission, so they tell you everything and anything to get you to put a deposit down. They have so many horrible stories on the better business bureaus website and those stories are true. This company runs a scam. They take your money and act like everything is great, I received a phone call two days before my preop saying my doctor suddenly had a family emergency and my appointment was canceled! No other explanation. So i decided to do a little homework on the doctor they gave me( which honestly i should of done before) but turns out, this doctor was not even affiliated with Sona Bello any more, No wonder he couldn't do my preop! What kind of company does that?! I pray these people and this company shutdown. I think it is horrible what they are doing to people. How can a company have such poor customer service? No one checked on me to make sure I was ok with waiting. I had a consultation with Sonobello and would have to say I was surprised I didn't get to see the actual surgeon. They wanted down payment as a commitment upfront before they will even schedule a "pre-op" meeting with an MD. How can I commit when I haven't even talked to the guy who will do the work? Will you pay a plumber before interviewing the plumber to make sure he is skilled and understand your specific requirements???? Makes no sense! During the consultation, I just stripped down for some non-medically trained office lady, quoted me my price like buying meat at a butcher, and tried to sell to me how much lipo they do in a day....TRANSLATION: Sonobello is really meat factory that does mass production and doesn't really care about patient, hence you are not seeing a doc to have your questions answered. Now, the yelp reviews (looked up after my visit) all make sense....they are not big on doctor-patient relationship, which IMO is a mistake. Plastic Surgery, like most medical procedures, is highly trust based; I just can't entrust my body to some non-medically trained people, take my money, and HOPE that the procedure will go per my expectation. The only "good" thing about this place is the price is cheaper than my last surgeon. My last surgeon would have charged me $10K, and they are charging only $7K - with $1K discount if you pay upfront. So i decided to write this because there is way to much untruthful reviews about the initial process of setting up an appointment with Sono bello. First off the consultant I had was very well informed and made me feel comfortable and explained everything i needed to know, she told me statistics and she told me facts and it confirmed the research I did. For every one that complained that they waited to long, its an important decision people are making and lot of money they are paying so it takes time, my appointment was 40 min long Im sure I overstepped on someone else schedule but i had a lot of questions that were answered with clarity. NO ONE CHARGED ME MONEY OR TOOK MY DEPOSIT. They asked for my card info and said that they will process it when I tell them Im sure and Im doing it. I wasn't really happy with the way they order your garments I went in on June 11 for my 3 day check up and I was in the wrong garment. they ordered me the wrong size so I asked to have them order me a new smaller size which was never ordered I called back on Friday and the order was still not placed and couldn't explain to me why so it is now Monday June 17th still have not received that order that I was promised on Friday that would be over nighted and I would get it by Monday. so all I'm not happy with the fact that I'm not able to heal with the proper things. Where do I start... My name is Oscar 28 in May 2015 I weighed 260 lbs dropped 100 lbs in less then a year doing it the old fashion way diet and exercise. Got down to about 180 lbs and was curious about lipo. 2 years later in July 2017 I decided to get rid of some excess fat removed. Did some research and saw a commercial for Sono Bello. Went on the website and made a free consultation, a week later I arrived at the location in the John Hancock building spoke with a woman by the name of Sarah Fudge. She was very nice, considerate and she understood what and why I wanted to go through with this. Clothes went off, she looked at my areas I wanted to get removed and decided I wanted to do my chest, waist, upper and lower abdomen. With that being said I was so excited until I got the number of how much it was gonna cost! We were talking about 10 Gs! So I said oh no we gotta get those numbers down. Did that so we got it down to about 7000 so we went from there. Worked my butt off to come up with the money about 6 months in I ran into some financial issues and decided to remove 2 procedures. I did that and was able to add them back on for a slightly lower price, which was awesome! On April 16th was my pre op at the Schaumburg office, went in got looked at by Dr.Walton and Dr.Boise forgive me if I spelled it wrong. I was also seen by a nurse named Ericka. I will get to her in just a sec, but both doctors made me feel comfortable and assured me that it would be okay and spoke to me about risks,what they will be doing, how, so I fully understood what I wanted and the risks that come with it. Then spoke with Ericka and she made me feel a little more at ease being a Sono Bello customer as well! Hearing and seeing are two different things so I was so glad to here her review and the results shes getting. April 17th 2018 the day of my procedure again at the Schaumburg office,arrived at 6:45 am, met a nurse by the name Michelle she was so nice and does her job so well, so funny and was there every step of the way thanks Michelle for being by my side! Went into the room where I was asked to undress and was then greeted by the doctors at around 7:25ish a.m. I was marked up given some medication to put me at ease shortly after I was taken to a different room where the procedure was going to occur in. Laid on my back and was shot up with lidocaine pretty much in the upper parts of my body, started the procedure, was slight painfull. I was in and out of it. Asked for more meds cuz of the pain. Had nurse Michelle's hand to squeeze and also some balls to squeeze for the pain i was going through. I will say this it's no joke if your reading this and decide to go through with this. It was painful near the chest, upper abdomen area because of the ribs being so close. No pain no game! Got through it and around 10:30ish is when it was over. I got wrapped up, was so out of it, got sat in a wheel chair and all I remember wanting to do was to take selfies with the docs and nurse that took care of me lol. I also finally met Shaena who I would constantly call and make my payments with for several months so that was nice! So yeah the ride home was horrible every bump was just horrible on my body got home and passed out. The next day I was allowed to shower, removed the padding which were saturated in blood and excess drainage, saw my results and was just amazed. My body was swollen but completely transformed. My boyfriend even said that my butt got contoured lol which was nice to hear. As of now I'm waiting for this swelling to go down which can take months. My check up is Monday April 23rd so can't wait to hear what the docs gotta say. Also I will say that I thought I would be able to return to work in two days that I took off and that wasn't enough! I have not had the surgery yet, just the Venus treatment which helps tighten your skin. Yvette performed the service and she is amazing! She is a nurse and very personable. We talked and listened to music during the process. She kept checking on me and I had to ask her to reduce the heat and she quickly did so and made sure I was comfortable. I did not finance my procedures I paid IN FULL AMOUNT UP FRONT and now I'm hating that I did that. I had to have my procedure in 2 different settings so now because of the TERRIBLE customer service, lack of results, and the lack of the Doctor-patient relationship relating to the procedure I have elected to CANCEL my second procedure and requested a refund of my money. I was treated Five Star from my beginning Consultation to my post-Op appointment. I had been thinking about Liposuction for three years and prior to calling Sono Bello I had been on other Consultations. The concern for me as a client/patient was not there. It was difficult getting a appointment, I waited 30 minutes plus passed my scheduled appointment time and was never addressed by my first name. When I arrived at Sono Bello I only waited 10 minutes. Then Ashley called for me ,she introduced herself and was kind and genuine. She looked me in the eye and explain what could be possible. Ashley was knowledgeable, timely ( the process did not take forever) the business aspect was taken care of, and I was scheduled. I was told about the procedure, who my surgeon would be, what to do and what not to do over the next two weeks. Next I came for my exam. That's when I met Lara. Lara was very professional, she prepared me to meet with the surgeon. When Dr Flagg came in the examining room I could sense he and nurse Lara had been working together as a team for some time. She answered his questions about the information she had gathered from me. I remember feeling like I am in Capable hands. I had my fist procedure done about a week ago. It was as painful as I expected as the nursing staff had already informed me but not as bad as I suppose it could have been. I am still a bit swollen, I still feel areas that are numb and that still hurt. The results though that I and everyone see are amazing! I did upper and lower tummy, pubic area and waist. I went in at 197 lbs and I am now at 191 but the difference looks like I lost so much more. Yes they are expensive, Yes it did hurt, But for me it was well worth everything! I am going in again in about 10 days to have my arms, inner thighs and knees done. Everyone was good to me I have no complaints for that. The only thing that bothers me is not seeing a doctor afterwards as a follow up. Also the waiting for my visits is bad. They need to do something about that for sure. read more

I waited awhile before posting my review to make sure that it was honest and unbiased. Initially, I wasn't going to write a review, but I feel that if I can help save someone money, pain and time they could benefit from my review. I got my surgery last year Summer of 2017. Sono Bello is not personal at all. This is a center that has central offices that have people working to convince you of having procedures, the consultation was done by an assistant, never a doctor. RED FLAG! You do not meet the doctor until the day of your procedure. My procedure had to be done in several visits, the first one was a painful recovery, so much that I didn't want to go for the second one. However, I was convinced by the assistant to come back because they said my body would be unbalanced in it's appearance. The second surgery I was rushed through the nurse did not make sure that the meds kicked in, she gave them to me 30min before my procedure. I was in so much pain during the surgery I could feel everything. The office was backed up with surgeries and I could clearly see that I was being rushed through. A Very barbaric way treat a patient. The surgery was expensive and I can say that I still have the same love handles and love handles. The undergarment that you purchase is what makes you appear to have lost inches not the surgery itself. After spending over $7 I still look the same! This was a terrible waste of money. The "consultant" has no medical training or experience. I was not informed of this and she suggested area after area to get lipo performed on. I was naked in a mirror and reluctantly agreed and write the check. When I saw the actual Doctor he told me 3 of the recommended areas did not have enough fat to lipo. After several calls I got a meeting with the manager there. I informed her of this and asked for a refund on the areas the actual Doctor said he could not perform. She did admit this consultant was fired 3 days after my appointment due to performance such as this. She had to submit my claim to head quarters for review. I called and emailed for months with no response. I will have to hire a lawyer to pursue it further. This behavior of a non medical professional being in charge of consulting on surgery is their disgraceful policy. And a doctor overruling this doesn't get you a refund. I am out thousands of dollars. I actually had an appointment with the downtown office last month for an initial consultation. I arrived 15 minutes before my appointment to fill out the paperwork. Over an hour later, I was still sitting in the lobby waiting to be seen. I ended up leaving because I felt a certain kind of way about a business that does not value my time. If you can treat me like this for the consultation, what will the rest of this relationship look like? The receptionist called me 20 minutes later after noticing that I left. I met Shaena for my first meeting and she was very professional. I was nervous because I read all the reviews but still wanted to give them a chance. Shaena made me feel comfortable and answered all my questions. Dr. Flagg was great! I got upper and lower abdomen done and he made the process go smooth. The two nurses Erika and Michelle were so attentive to my needs, especially since they knew I was nervous. For my follow up Yvette did a great job explaining what to expect for recovery. The experience was on time and professional. the surgeon was, well a surgeon, just to the point. He did not hurt me during the procedure and I ended up feeling very comfortable with him. However, he did emphasize the fact that results were not guaranteed, more than once. I had chin lipo done. He said the fat would come off but the results were not guaranteed. So what does that mean? that I went in for fat removal but he could not guarantee it would come out? So its been a month and a half now and I do have less fat than before the procedure, but I still have a significant amount left. I can feel that's its not completely healed yet, maybe that's the reason why. I will give it the whole 6 months of recovery time to give my final opinion on this, but as of now I'm a bit disappointed. When I saw my fat in the tube it seemed way to little in my opinion, but I'm not the surgeon, so I assumed it was enough. I wore the head strap for 3 weeks everyday, then only when I am home or going to bed. Its very uncomfortable and it gives me headaches as I have a history of migraines, so I cannot wear it 24/7. I don't think anyone can. plus you have to wash it and take showers with out it. and the weather made it worse. It was hot! Anyhow, I am hopeful that it will get better. Lets see what doctor says at my 3 moth check up. I will come back here and write my final review of this place once the 6 months pass. I'm hopeful my double chin actually goes away. Ok we're do I start I love my results I had my upper lower and waist liposuction lasers.Dr Flagg is awesome and the staff is great in the Schaumburg office.I have one complaint if u don't have sick time or lots of pto saved think twice it's been four weeks and I'm still in pain my job is very strenuous I couldn't return on a 10lb restriction I have been off four weeks sonobello do not fill out family leave forms or short term disability forms so u can't get paid while u recover but come to find out my insurance would have denied me anyway because it was cosmetic.I am 50 so not sure y I'm still in pain they said ppl return back to work in 3 days maybe that's with a facelift or something I got released off the restriction on 4week but still in pain in hopes my job let me come back my nurse in employee health has to make the decision after a few things she make me do so I'm hoping I can pull this off because if I can't I'm fired.because the fmla or disability would have protected my job.Wish me luck tears. read more
