After struggling with the results of a previous procedure, I felt discouraged and had lost a lot of confidence in myself. From my very first consultation, Dr. Sorokin listened to my concerns, treated me with compassion, and made me feel truly heard. The results have exceeded my expectations. Not only did they correct the issues I was dealing with, but they also gave me back something I thought I had lost--my confidence. I finally feel comfortable and happy in my own skin again.

They're all so knowledgeable and straight forward which someone with anxiety like me really appreciates. If you're even thinking of having something done; have a consultation ! My father passed away shortly after and I waited a year to come back and get the surgery. When I returned I received a different recommendation of fat transfer. I asked several times how fat transfer was going to help with bags under my eyes and they kept assuring me I would get the results I wanted. My results were horrible I still have bags under my eyes and there is no difference in them before or after just a horrible recovery period where I had swelling bruising and skin discoloration for 8 months after surgery. I'm sure she probably gets it right with most patients but she did not get it right with me, nor did the office attempt to make things right in anyway possible. Unlike most of her patients I'm not wealthy and this surgery was an investment for me towards the longevity of my career in entertainment and it was an EPIC fail.

I am writing this to warn future patients and help them mentally prepare in ways I was not. While I…read moream satisfied with the physical results of my tummy tuck with Dr. Lyle Back, the pre-operative communication, patient dignity, and post-operative accountability fell severely short. There was a severe lack of transparency regarding operating room protocols. While generic paperwork given to me the day of surgery briefly mentioned a Foley catheter might be used, it was never discussed with me in person, and I was completely left in the dark about how extensive the surgical scrub boundaries would be on my body (I was exposed and scrubbed from nipple to mid thigh). Discovering these medical interventions post-surgery without warning caused me immense shock and a severe panic attack. Furthermore, I had my period on the day of surgery and was wearing surgical mesh underwear. No one told me these would be removed; I woke up in the recovery room completely exposed with no underwear or menstrual pad, leaving me deeply embarrassed and vulnerable. When I obtained my medical records and later confronted Dr. Back, his behavior shifted dramatically. Two weeks post-op, I explicitly asked him if I had a catheter, and he evasively told me I "may have had" one. As the primary surgeon who signs the operative reports, he absolutely knew the answer but chose to downplay my experience. When I asked him to update his pre-op paperwork so future women wouldn't experience this trauma, he fiercely disputed the need for systemic changes. He is an effective communicator when building rapport before surgery, but he completely lacks the emotional integrity and transparency required when a patient addresses a legitimate care flaw. This entire situation was completely avoidable; it would have taken less than five minutes of upfront communication to inform me of what would be done to my body. Instead, my autonomy was disregarded, leaving me feeling deeply distressed. While Dr. Back did a decent job on the physical procedure, the lack of informed consent and pre-op transparency completely overshadows the results. I have completed my immediate post-op visits and am leaving this practice to transition my care elsewhere. If you choose this practice, please be your own advocate and demand a full, written list of every operating room protocol beforehand, as it will not be voluntarily disclosed to you. Look elsewhere for a surgeon who actually respects your body, your dignity, and your boundaries.

So I realized (almost 6 years later!) that I never reviewed Dr. Bucky and his staff - unacceptable!…read moreI decided to sit in my car and whip out a review real quick after parking near his office and seeing his name on my map. I went to Dr. Bucky after a friend (who was a doctor for Penn at the time) suggested him when I was looking at doctors for breast implants. I had recently gotten a large settlement from a car accident that left me with permanent injuries to my back, and I had also just lost a bunch of weight. It was time to treat myself to something that I knew would boost my self-confidence and happiness. I researched Dr. Bucky myself before calling the office and saw nothing but amazing and informative reviews and very positive before and after photos. I made the plunge and called to make my appointment. There was a consultation fee ($100 or $150 maybe? This was back in 2013...) and if I chose Dr. Bucky, the fee would be applied to the procedure. Cool. Sounds good. Everything was explained in detail over the phone which I thought was really great. Cue the day of the appointment, my friend (who recently had breast augmentation surgery in Los Angeles) and I show up to Dr. Bucky's office in Washington Square. Obviously the aesthetic and vibe in Washington Square is a little different than the rest of the city, and I was a 20 year old kid (essentially) with hot pink hair and tons of tattoos and facial piercings -- slightly out of place here, but whatever. When I walked in, my age and appearance didn't make the staff treat me differently, which was (and still is...) super refreshing and reassuring. Dr. Bucky is the best, and his prices reflect that along with a very upscale clientele; I stuck out like a sore thumb in the waiting room! I get brought back (with my friend) and get changed to make it easier for him to... assess the situation, we'll say. I speak with Dr. Bucky's nurse, explain in more detail why I'm there, blah blah blah. On we go.. Dr. Bucky comes in for the consultation, and I still swear to this day, he was so, so nice, professional, and just overall amazing! I explained how self conscious I was with my small and sad B cup boobs, and losing weight just made the situation with the girls worse! Dr. Bucky totally understood and gave me an in-depth explanation on what his plan would be: a mid-level lift with implants to bring me to a DD cup. I was sold. Like if I could've handed over all the cash then and had the surgery right away, I probably would've done that. Side note: during the consult Dr. Bucky explained how they include a rigorous vitamin regiment prior to and after surgery to help my body prep for everything. Where the hell else do you get that kind of care? Because I haven't seen it before. Scoring more points even after I'm sold! Way to go! Erin (I think?) was the patient coordinator at the time. She would be the one to handle my payments, scheduling, etc. She was awesome. It was at this point in my interactions with Dr. Bucky and his staff that I told Erin about my "settlement" money, and quite honestly, I had never spent this kind of money EVER! She was super sweet and supportive with the whole process. I had a super ridiculous time with my bank declining the large transactions I was trying to make to pay for the procedure, and Erin let me mail them checks from my parents' account to pay for everything since my bank wasn't having it! Points again! I'll spare you more rambling and not go into detail about the day of the procedure, I mean it was still surgery after all... I got to Penn, they did the thing, I woke up HOURS later feeling I got drop-kicked in the chest by an elephant. Dr. Bucky, his staff, and the staff at Penn were all great. Now it was time to go home! Fair warning to anyone considering a lift/implants: you're going to feel pretttty rough for a while. I thought I was dying. However, Dr. Bucky prescribed me Valium to take post-surgery alongside the narcotic pain medication I was already prescribed by another doctor for my back at the time. He told me to trust him and that it would help more than anything. And boyyyy did it. Post surgery points! I had three follow-up visits to check on how everything was healing/to remove stitches/make sure the implants were settling okay. I felt like that was really, really awesome and like they really wanted to make sure I was okay. Six years later, I'm still so happy with my decision to have Dr. Bucky do the procedure. My boobs do not *look* fake, which I hear all the time (such a strange compliment, I know).. I recommend Dr. Bucky to EVERYONE. I keep meaning to go back to his office for Botox and other procedures. They are the BEST!

Well I'm going to start by saying I think reviews are not easy to write. Being an owner of a top…read morerated hair salon in Center City Philadelphia I've seen bad reviews be created because emotions were running high and they weren't able to look at the facts from beginning to end because of emotions being in the way. I was recommended to Dr Lo by a fellow hair stylist who had breast augmentation. Her breasts were gorgeous and she had started from a very small size and after he was finished with her she was on the larger side and looked very natural. So I went in for a consultation because I was starting with basically nothing. I previously had gone to several other surgeons for consultation and it seem like their answer was yes yes yes to everything. But this doctor was different he was direct and told me the truth and sugar-coated nothing and that is exactly why I picked him. When I was so hung up on how big are they going to be his answer was exactly this " when you come back to me in 6 months bitching that they're not big enough I'm going to tell you that it was your anatomy that decided how big they were going to be not me we are only going to do what your body will allow you to do". Finally somebody to tell me the truth. He did finish with saying he would try to go as large as he could. Then explained there was a method that could show him how big they could be while in surgery and was very confident that I would land with a larger C or at least a D. So I scheduled. Of course when I woke up from the anesthesia and other meds I was very foggy but was still able to ask the question.... How big are they? He explained to me that he got the largest implant in there. Then the healing process began. Everything he explained to me has come true for the breast augmentation. I've entrusted him with injectables also. We've used Botox for wrinkles and Voluma for check volume over the past year and I really believe that the his back ground in facial reconstruction makes me really trust him with injectables. My God I've seen nightmares with that stuff. So now the latest procedure that I am still recovering from is the tummy tuck. Today marks the two weeks. So needless to say I'm still a little sore still waiting for swelling to go away and everything else to clear up but already I see and feel a difference. I did other consultations for tummy tuck as well and no other doctor mentioned leaving with a pain pump so the incision could have 3 days to heal and be numb so I would be more comfortable. This was very appealing. The girl who does my eyelash extensions head the same procedure from another doctor and did not have the pain pump and said it was barely tolerable for the few days after... that really let me know that I would be okay after the procedure with Dr Lo. So I will check back and leave more feedback after the tummy settles down. Also on a side note his staff is great they answer questions and really let me know what I needed to do. The doctor called me the night of each surgery and his staff called the following day. Ok...I'm finished gushed.

Many years ago, I went under the knife with Dr Lo and when I woke up, I was given larger breasts…read morethan I asked for because he said "they looked better". For many years, I have hated the size and my body when I look in the mirror. I never wanted larger breasts than I asked for. Dr. Lo is misogynistic and uses patriarchal control over women to get what he wants and to get his after photos to his liking; disregarding a woman's mental health, bodily autonomy and well being. Here I am, and for many years I have not had the money to fix them to how I personally wanted them originally. For myself. I have been in a lot of emotional pain for many years. (As well as a sub muscular tear which made my breast migrate into my armpit. I know the size must have contributed. I have never lifted heavy weights). I wanted to have small breasts all along and I believe I'd look great with them. Dr Lo's opinion of how he thinks a woman's body should look is degrading and speaks volumes about the type of man he is. A woman's voice is SO IMPORTANT when going under the knife, under anesthesia. No matter the shape or size of a woman, we glow most beautifully when we love ourselves in our body, get to have our own independence and be able to think for ourselves. No man should be able to take over you as soon as he puts you out and make MAJOR life altering decisions. Do not trust Dr. Lo with your body, he is just going to do what he wants or what he thinks "looks better" for you. And you might just wake up confused, in pain and unhappy for the next 20 years.
