The waiting time did come up to be a little longer than expected but I do understand it's possible with previous client being late to their appointment as well as possibility of issues getting the baby on screen properly. Damaris was an absolute angel. I brought my 4yr old with me to this appointment so he can see his baby bro on the big screen... as all kids are, he couldn't sit still and wanted to touch everything out of curiosity. Found this place via yelp deal and am so glad we did. The best way to contact this studio is via email. The studio is one room so if the tech steps out or is with a client, you will not get thru via phone. My husband and I made an appt for a weekday around 530. Getting into the bldg is annoying but once you're past security you're ok. The tech who took care of us was patient and got some great 3D shots of my little girl. We got a few printed sonograms, a disc with recordings of her heart beat and her eating her toes, a teddy bear with her heartbeat saved inside, and digital copies of all the photos. Booked my appointment the day before really Happy ! walk from the train is super convenient , Sonographer was so kind and excellent,took her time didn't make me feel anxious or awkward like when I go to my OB , I am 15 weeks carrying at the moment and she did her best to make sure we got the best details and view of our little love bug we purchased the 3D gender reveal package , my baby is a bit of a mover so I have been told from my previous appointments at my OB and also from my experience watching my Little kicker yesterday and she was very patient with trying to catch the perfect Sounds of our babies heart beat, we purchased the elephant stuffed animal and we love it it is one of our biggest keepsakes we will treasure forever and the experience will be always remembered and enjoyable she was able to identify the gender but since we are having a gender reveal we won't find out till the weekend and we are so exited ! I went there today for a 3D ultrasound. It was lovely. I had to wait about 30 minutes because of a double booking error, however it happens everywhere. I made the appointment today for today, so it did not bother me to wait a little bit. Their current policy is that if they can't get good pics, customers can come a second time at no extra cost for another try. I didn't think it was worth the price. The packages that they have seem good but once you get there and realize that a "large gift bag" actually means just a 99 cents store gift bag, it's shocking. I actually figured it meant they would give a gift, or samples. What do I need an empty gift bag for? The quality of our pictures are good, but my baby slept the entire time. I wasn't pleased but wasn't even offered another visit to see her awake. I paid $160 and I feel like they could've been nicer/ more accommodating. The lady just seemed like she wasn't interested, we were trying to talk to her and she kind of just brushed us off- not very welcoming given how much I paid. I wish I would've been offered a 2nd visit because I didn't see the baby moving or anything. It's super disappointing. Why would I recommend this place to anyone? I spent a lot of money for this special moment and I know it's not their fault my baby was sleepy but even before she started she mentioned that sometimes they offer the second visit. We really wanted a monkey for our heart beat bear but the mini monkeys hole wasn't big enough to fit the heart beat recorder. So we were forced to pay another $10 to upgrade to the larger one. Why have mini monkeys that you know don't work for this? Supposedly, management knows about this issue, yet the monkey is still there disappointing pregnant women. The office is super weird, you have to go up to 11 then go back down to 10 there are no signs, they don't answer the phones and it's not really an "office" it's a room. Looks nothing like what they advertise. Super creepy actually- almost horror film ish. I wouldn't go back, I've had family go to a place in queens and love it. I think we are going to try the queens place. Don't go here if you could find somewhere else. I'm super upset that I spent so much money for poor service. read more

I am very pleased with my experience at Sono Baby. I went there to get 3D ultrasound and everything was lovely. My technician was very warm and professional. She took her time and was very patient. Baby was not cooperating in the beginning, but she knew exactly what she was doing and I got all my pictures. At the end of the session I was asked if I am happy with results and was offered to have another appointment for free if I did not like images that we were able to catch. I ended up taking the originals, because they looked absolutely precious. Wait time was less then 10 minutes, facility is very nice and comfortable. I also went in to confirm the gender of the baby and was assured that my original predictions were correct and my baby girl will arrive soon. I highly recommend Sono Baby to anyone who is interested in 3D pictures. You will not regret it. read more

My appointment was for 1030 however I was 10 minutes late I only waited for about six minutes I met with the technician and her name was Leo this was the first time I've ever got beautiful pictures of my baby girl she must've liked the technician voice because she just kept smiling and doing all these poses I recommend this place this is a five-star place and I will definitely be back for more pictures perfect quality for the best price went home so happy and teary eyed read more

I am writing this email to let you know how disappointed I was at your service. I do understand that you cant guarantee the baby will be cooperative but they few pictures I received were horrible. I paid $119 and left completely disappointed. I went back on 2 occasions for the ultrasound and both times, the second time especially, I felt that they baby was cooperative and quality pictures could have been captured but by the time the tech attempted to take the picture, it was too late. This happened numerous times and I felt a better job could have been done. I was supposed to walk out with 15 pictures, but instead left with 5 barely visible pictures. I do not feel the tech was qualified enough for the job. On top of that I was told I would get a bear with a 40 sec tape recording of the heartbeat. The recording was 10 seconds total and put into a bear that does not even work. I assume that the marking on the paw is where you are supposed to press to hear the heartbeat. Well that does not work and I have to take the recording device out of the bear altogether and press on it to hear the 10 SEC recording. I just cannot believe that this is what I spent $119 for. I understand there are no refunds but I also do not think it is fair to charge someone so much for a service you could not provide. read more

Wow! I can't believe that not such a positive review I wrote a couple of weeks ago was somehow deleted by the company! There were a couple of other negative review posted, and they are now gone! It makes me wonder whether the 5-star ratings posted recently are fake. In any case, here's my original review: I am so mad! Made an appointment online on Tuesday for Friday. Never received a confirmation, so I called the studio to confirm. The lady on the phone said that I was in the system and was all set for Friday. I arrived for my appointment exactly on time. However, nobody was there. I asked the reception desk to call the studio several times until they returned the call 30 minutes later. The lady on the phone said that she didn't have me in her system for today, but after searching by my name, she was able to locate the booking. She said they sometimes have problems with their booking system (so why not fix it or change it if this is not the first time they've experienced it??!!!), and unfortunately the sonographer had left for the day! I couldn't believe it! I am so mad and disappointed that I had to waste all that time and money commuting there and not being able to see my baby - something I had been looking forward to all week. Do yourself a favor and book somewhere else. Clearly their booking process is so flawed that even a phone call confirmation is not going to guarantee your appointment. read more

*Ultrasound 4D starter with teddy bear.* So I found this place through yelp. I noticed all the good reviews so I decided to drive to manhattan from New Jersey just to go to this place. When I arrived to the building it was a little weird getting in, felt like tight security. Went up to 11th floor where I had to sit by the elevators for about half hour past my appointment time. Once we got into the ultrasound room it was uphill from there. The tech was really sweet, she was very helpful and patient with me. She really took her time and made sure to get the best images of my baby possible (even though my son was asleep). She kept telling me how cute my son was in his sleep and how much she loves what she does which made us feel so calm and really happy to have such a pleasant girl working on us. I was pleased with the images, pleased with the dvd and absolutely love the teddy bear that has my sons heartbeat recorded in it! Great place. Highly recommend! read more

I loved my experience at Sono Baby Studio so much! I went in today at 29 weeks to see my baby boy with my husband and family and it was amazing from start to finish. The sonographer was so sweet and attentive and took her time to get great photos even when he wasn't cooperating! There was no rushing and it was so comfortable. Okay. So let's talk about the location first. The walk from the train station was really convenient. The building itself? A little hard to locate as I followed my gps on my phone and took me passed the location since they have a back (delivery side) to the location. Location itself is right between the restaurants, Starbucks etc before Duane Reade and the Panera Bread that's under construction. So the check in of the building might throw you off a little. I was expecting a studio or a place of its own like a doctors office, dentist office etc but in this case, it wasn't. You tell the security man at the front desk which floor you're visiting and he ask you for an ID where he prints a visitors pass for you. So you go to the 11th floor and you think okay, this is the place. As soon as you get to the 11th floor, walk straight to the front desk and tell them you have an appointment with sonobaby studio. There, the ladies will tell you to take a seat. Then someone will call for your name at the elevator and you follow her downstairs to the 10th floor where the actual studio is. I, myself was a little lost too but don't worry, when you step inside their little studio, you'll hear soothing baby music, and the decoration is very nice. The young lady, Leeanita who assisted me was extremely kind and explained to me all that was going on. And although my son wasn't cooperating at that moment, she took her time with me and took care of me as much as possible. So thank you! So one of the many other great things about this studio is that it has a policy where they let you retake the photos/make another appointment if baby isn't cooperating etc. and because my son wasn't cooperating, I come in Wednesday and hope that my son will be cooperation more! When I came across their website I fell in love with the giraffe plush animal. I called right away to book my appointment for the $129 package Including the 4D sonogram. When I spoke to the sonogram tech she informed me that I was too far along (I was 38 weeks) and the sonograms were very unlikely to show clear images after 34 weeks. I was completely stuck on getting the giraffe plush animal with the heart beat for my baby's nursery so I asked if I could just pay for that. She said she'd ask her superiors and give me a call back. She called me back and stated they usually do not book anyone for just a heart beat recording but she'd make the exception for me! I was ecstatic. At my appointment, she gave the 3D image a shot and was actually able to get clear images of my baby's face! I was so amazed, it was beautiful! My friend was brought to tears! I believe her name was Onaida... It definitely began with an O. Not too sure but her customer service was amazing! I love their service! Yes the first day I went I had a little bit of a wait as before before me where a bit late but other than that it was great. Steffany and Damaris where great and very patience and professional. On my first try they couldn't see the baby clearly as he was hiding right under my placenta as I had a previa. On my second try even though I ate and stuff my self, still baby was not cooperating. I thought I was goin to lose my money as it was my second try, but no they offer me a third and final try. I was thrill by this as I have a third chance. Finally my baby change position and my husband and I where able to meet our little boy. We are very greatfull for a third chance an we love sono baby for that. We have to understand that it is not the technician fault that the baby is in the wrong position or that our body is not cooperating. If we have another child I'm definitely coming back to Sono baby as they are professional and very patience. read more
