Daughter had shrimp Alfredo. All plates were exceptional in flavor. My lamb chops seems to be cooked on a charcoal or wood grill and were seared perfectly, juicy, tender and DELICIOUS. Collard greens were fantastic and had a big chunk of smoked turkey in it. The yams were tender and sweet. Maybe a little too sweet but still edible. The wife's pork chops must've been good cuz she refused to share w me and my daughter devoured her shrimp Alfredo.

BIG MISTAKE. This place was PACKED so clearly, people seem to enjoy it. We did not... The only thing that anyone seemed to enjoy was their breaded shrimp. Those were a hit, everything else was borderline inedible. Even their desserts. I get it that they are having to feed a lot of people, and its all you can eat. That is a a challenge. They are just falling short in too many areas for me to ever justify returning. I cannot in good faith recommend this place.

This CB in Rockford just didn't measure up to my past CB meals. We went at dinner time on a Thursday night. We had to wait a little while for a table but that was fine because walking around the store is half the appeal of going to CB. Our waitress was fine, a bit frazzled. She had many tables and seems overwhelmed. The restaurant was messy and our food was meh. It took forever for our meals to arrive and honestly, we were fine sitting there quizzing each other on our sports knowledge. I love a random Cracker Barrel meal; however, I will skip this location.

The staff are super friendly, and the food is tasty. They never freeze anything and it's all cooked on site. We got the brisket (our fave even though it was a little fatty) and the turkey, which was a little dry on its own but with the sauce it was great and flavorful. Speaking of, they have a lot of different barbecue sauces to try, I liked the smoky mountain the best, and would recommend if you're into smoky rather than sweet. But there's something for everyone's palate. Definitely want to come again and try their other meats!
