I purchased four "new" tires from Sonic Tuning. I was told the tires were manufactured in 2017 Well guess what - they weren't. I found out they were manufactured in 2011, WHAT!!!, (not 2017) after asking my local shop to confirm the year...unfortunately the much needed install of two rear tires on my M3 was already completed. I contacted Sonic Tuning immediately about the misrepresentation issue - they have said they would fix the problem. Words are cheap. It's been over a month and still no resolution in fact they have gone radio silent. The people here have always given me great customer service in helping me out. I have been going to them for years for various items. It all started with an HID kit. Now 5 cars later, HID kits and LED lights for all none with issues, its been great. Not to mention their great knowledge of my platform they've helped me figure out pretty much every possible fitment question when it came to wheels, suspension and body parts. Sonic Tuning gets 5 out of 5 possible stars from me because of their excellent customer service, amazing pricing and their expertise in aftermarket and custom car modifications. I was lucky enough to stumble upon them in mid 2010 when looking for LED license plate lights on Craigslist. Sonic Tuning had them in stock and dealt with the craziness of my order - I need them today, I can't make it in, I'll have a friend pick them up tomorrow... Never mind, please ship them to me. Through the three days they were patient with me and willing to do what was needed to help me out. In the years I've entrusted Wei, Pat and Ray with my cars, I have purchased aftermarket wheels, exterior mods like diffusers, carbon trunks, HID lighting, performance mods like exhausts and they even performed installs of performance mid pipes, and the mounting and balancing of my wheels. I have been so happy with their service I have referred friends and coworkers who also now rave about them. I am a big fan of supporting local businesses, and since the DMV has a shortage of performance shops that can source you parts at good prices and perform quality installs, I have been a Sonic Tuning customer for years and will continue to be for many more to come! read more

Good guys to deal with. I am guessing they are a predominantly BMW shop, who also happens to do some MB and Audi stuff. Unfortunately my BMW days were over by the time I found them. What I needed was a shop that was attuned to the needs of a car enthusiast, that means not scratching the wheels when replacing tires. The Exxon in Great Falls claims to be trusted regularly with Italian exotics but I trusted them once and never again. The Sonic Tuning guys goes does it right and they know that a car enthusiast care about keeping the car looking new. Every time I've gotten tire replacements with Sonic, it has come back looking perfect, and they will hand torque the lug nuts/bolts with a torque wrench - small details like these often reveal the mindset of an entire business. Price is also very reasonable, it just feels like they are a group of good guys set out to take care of car enthusiasts. So even though I live an hour away form this shop and have other places near me that claim to take good care of customer cars, I go to Sonic Tuning. read more

I bought suspend for my mazdaspeed. I have had a squeaking noise coming from the front about 6 months after install. I have sent so many emails with no response. It has been over 6 months. I have been going to Sonic Tuning very consistently for the past few years. I am very pleased with their service and knowledge!! I have always thought my car was a bit difficult to deal with, but they have always found a way to help me with new parts and current services that I needed on my 02 BMW. Was recommended by a friend. I compared the prices of the rims with other places and the prices were definitely better here. I talked with one of the workers to make sure the rims and tires would fit for my car, and he went through everything with me and even recommended a cheaper set of rims that he thought would look better on my car. I came into the store to see how they would look on my car and the one he recommended looked better. They offered installation of the tires with balancing. Service, product, result was amazing!! So i didnt really want to write this review because the guys seemed cool and but after over a year of problems with their work im pretty fed up. I initially took my car there to get air suspension installed which they said they could do it with me. Their price was fair and they got it done in a timely manner. Unfortunately they didn't do it right and i ended up blowing a rear air strut a week later after the installation. At first i thought it was a defect in the air strut so i got a replacement and let them do it again. Once again the suspension showed symptoms that the installation was not done properly so i ended up taking it to another shop down in VA, They managed to solve the problem but unfortunately the damage was already done as both the rear air struts has gone through significant damage and both needed replacing which came out of my pockets once again. While the main problem has been fixed there are still concurrently issues like small tank leak which was present since day one but i didnt suspect anything since i was new into air suspension. But anyway i guess their work for euros seems solid but based on this experience i cant appraise them too much. read more
