Our toilet had broken and needed it replaced. Reached out to a few people for quotes and decided to go with Ray. He was responsive and pricing was fair. Ray was professional and very responsive, called him because the tenants reported the bathrooms weren't draining. He came out immediately and unclogged them. A day later the tenants reported that it was still happening, he came out for no additional costs and said that he had snaked it some more. Fast forward 2 days and it's still happening, I told him of the issue but I didn't get a response back. He was very professional and I can't really say I had any issues. read more

Decent but super expensive $$$$$. Plumber was there for less than 10 min and charged $150. He got the job done but if you do the math, it's like $900/hour! read more

Had another great experience with Ray and Sonic Rooter & Plumbing! Reached out on a Friday night because our kitchen sink was backed up. I knew that there was a possibility that we wouldn't be seen because it was a holiday weekend and already pretty late. I was slightly panicked because I was hosting a party the next day. But Ray came through once again and saved the day, the very next morning. Feeling very grateful for such exceptional service. Thank you, Ray! read more

Never showed up did not call...Would have given a negative number rating if possible....

For months we've had a bathroom leak in our condo flowing into our first floor neighbors living room. For over a month we struggled to receive fair estimates and find a plumber that was available at the same time our tenants and neighbors were. Last week we reached out for a quote and Ray responded in under half an hour with a fair quote. He was even able to come out the exact SAME day to execute the repair of our P-Trap, P-trap arm, and waste overflow. It was quick, painless, and took under a day compared to the weeks of back-and-forth we experienced with other plumbing companies. Best part is, besides his competitive rates, is that he offered a 2yr warranty which was more than any other plumber offered. He has earned his place on our bookmark. read more

Ray wrote me back quickly to a last-minute need of repair for my shower in our granny flat, and was able to fix it so easily! Also, on his way out caught a gas smell and found a leak in our meter. I cannot emphasize enough how amazing Ray is and how much he genuinely cares about seeing a problem through! Thank you a million times!! read more

I did my research looking for a professional plumber with good reviews and in the Compton area. I found This business here on yelp. I was a bit cautious because the reviews were dated, but I figured I give it a shot seeing as I needed plumbing service. I called and spoke with Ray the owner of Sonic Rooter and Plumbing. I was so pleased to find Ray. He was incredibly helpful and professional. He was willing to work with me and my tenants schedule and came the next day and did a great job at fixing a clogged bathroom sink. Definitely recommend. read more

Long overdue review - Ray came to our house within an hour of our call, late at night, after the previous plumber refused to do any work on the pipe leaking under our house (long story there that I won't get into). Without any hesitation, Ray hopped under the house, sealed up the pipe, and unclogged our main line. He even gave us a great recommendation for a cleanup crew to take care of the soil under the house. He was very friendly and professional all around, and we wouldn't hesitate to call him back if we have any more issues. read more

We needed a water line installed for a new fridge, Ray responded right away with a fair price and was able to schedule it for the next day. The job was done quick and they even fixed the water flow in our kitchen sink while they were here. I will definitely be using Sonic again. read more

These guys are wonderful! The faucet in our kitchen sink sprang a leak and they came out that same day to install a new one for us quickly at a very reasonable price. And because we live in an old apartment building, the brand new faucet they installed stopped pumping out hot water a couple days after because of some old rubber tubing hat got stuck in our pipes. I called them up again to see if they could take a look at it and give me an estimate to see how much it would cost to fix it and they said they'd take a look and if it was a quick, easy fix they wouldn't charge me. Sure enough they came that day and within 5 minutes diagnosed and fixed the problem and didn't charge me. It is so hard to find honest plumbers who won't rip you off for every single thing. We will definitely be contacting them for any and all future plumbing issues! read more

I thought I would get an answering service but Ray answered the phone personally and was able to work with my schedule to come and fix my stopped up kitchen sink. I thought I would wait for hours for him to arrive. He called before he came over and even arrived a little earlier than scheduled. He knew exactly what to do and fixed the stoppage. Very professional. Very fair prices. I am a happy customer. Ray exceeded my expections! I even forgot to ask for an invoice for my landlord and he emailed me a copy. I needed a rooter service quick and I am glad I found Ray, owner of Sonic Rooter and Plumbing here on Yelp. A professional local buisness here in Compton. Ray arrive early and diagnosed the problem. Called Sonic Rooter and Plumbing, at 11:58am on a Tuesday to clear a plugged up kitchen sink. Ray answered and was able to give me an appointment that same day at 1:30pm. He explained it would be $100 for visit and service, and if he couldn't unplug it. There would be no charge at all. I asked...and he said, he took cash, card, or check...sweet!! He got there on time, looked everything over and went to work. He snaked it, and he was sure he got it. So he reassembled my pipes...that I took apart. Ran the water and everything was just perfect!! Mind you, I've been trying to fix this on my own for 2 days. So I was super pleased with Ray's work, and how fast it was..too. I will be calling again, for future work. Thx Ray read more

Great price. But more important to me great service and expertise. Ray and his crew were very professional and took care of my job perfect. He came out to a multi-unit apartment complex where we needed some complicated natural gas line work to be done. Ray took a look at it and knew exactly what needed to be done, and when I asked him if he had done it before, he told me yes, and I felt confident in his answer. Well he did know because everything went to plan. I am one hundred percent satisfied with his service from beginning to end. read more

The base of my toilet would leak substantially during the flush, after calling around getting prices from several different companies many of which overcharging, I found Ray, he came out, did a wonderful job replacing the wax ring and explained to me what caused the leakage, he also removed this 4 foot long 5 inch wide root buildup that was growing beneath my toilet, it was gross! He did a plumbing inspection on my kitchen and gave me an estimate which is a job I will have him do. Should you need any plumbing service Ray's knowledge and professionalism will leave you satisfied. I would highly recommend Sonic Rooter and Plumbing and will be using their services again. read more

Needed a service for clogged sink drains for a rental property we own. Could not get to the property but took a chance with Sonic Rooter in the Compton area where our property is located. Spoke with the company owner Ray who was nice enough to check out the problem in about an hour after we called. Came back with a very reasonable price for the drain cleaning and called me back with status update. He even did the work and billed me later so very convenient. Definitely will use his company again. read more

the service was beyond outstanding. We experience flooding in bathtub and cameo spilling out into the hall. Mind you this was around 10:15pm. my wife found them online. Called and within 30 minutes were at residence. Ray and his associate(apologize don't recall name) very professional. Asses the situation, explain what needed to be done, quoted a very reasonable price which certain another plumbing company under circumstances would have charged 2-3 times more. They completed the task within an hour. Extremely pleased and have recommended to other family and friends that may experience similar situation. Thank you Sonic Rooter read more
