This isn't a fancy kind of gyro place...and to be honest, nostalgia probably influences my rating and review, but I've always loved Nick's and have never found another gyro place that can even come close. It's closer to a Greek taco than a "traditional" gyro (no tzatziki sauce here - just sour cream, onion, lettuce and cheese) There's just something about those danged pitas! After the original Greek brothers sold their stake, the place did suffer some, but came roaring back to life, delivering that signature gyro as good as ever. I really miss the location in downtown "on the bricks," but I'm happy to still be able to get my fix when we drive across Nebraska! Plus, I hear that they are working out a way to ship to us out-of-towners! if that happens, my diet is definitely going to suffer. Get the gyro, and a side of corn nuggets. Long live Nick's Gyros!
