Everything was excellent and you could tell was home cooked. The fish, okra, mashed potatoes and chicken and dumplings were stand outs though. So good! We decided to grab two pies to go to share with some lucky friends, and got the peanut butter fudge and pecan plus a slice of the lemon meringue. Everything was so good but the peanut butter and pecan is very rich (obviously). Both were excellent but we should've grabbed some vanilla ice cream. The lemon meringue was excellent, and if we had known you need to order it in advance to get a whole pie we would've! Now we know for next time. Must be due to the geopolitical views of the people in the area. There were several drink specials & food specials made known to us by our server immediately & he was quick to fill our drink orders of mango habanero bloody marys & pontoon punch which are both highly recommend by our party. I ordered some fried pickles to split up & they are very different & exceptionally good. They are slivers of pickle spears fried in a manner that resembles fried green beans. Everybody raved about them & they were gone quickly. One order was almost enough to share for 4-5 people. Half of the party ordered club sandwiches & the other half ordered burgers & fish tacos. The fish tacos were stated to be better than Sams on old hickory & as good as some served on the Florida panhandle in PCB, Pensacola, Destin etc. the club sandwich was nothing to write home about, pretty basic & fairly bland. The Mac & cheese is well above average & could make the cut of the top 10 I've had in the middle Tennessee area. IMPORTANT NOTE. THEY CHARGE A 20% gratuity for parties of 6 or more. If I was on the lake I'd probably come back, I'd expect to see masks on the staff though.

It was slightly larger and I wouldn't have minded pulling up and waiting. Instead, a customer 4 cars behind me got out and went inside. When he came back out, in got in my face at the window of my vehicle yelling about my order total and saying I the lady employee had told him orders as large as mine should be placed inside. I had 3 combos and 2 extra sandwiches. The customer knew my total and continued to berate me as my order was handed out. The lady then ignored what was happening and closed the window and didn't do anything to help. She could've gotten another manager or called the police. I'm handicapped. I have had leg surgery and still don't walk very well. Instead, she apparently complained about me to another customer and told him my total and put my life in danger. I would've gladly pulled up yo wait on my order, but was told that wasn't necessary. I was a regular customer of this Hardee's. When I tried reaching out, I get a recording and hung up on. So, I tried to reach corporate, but get a recording to go online. I tried contacting them online and nothing. So, I guess, unless you're just ordering a drink or something, don't use Hardee's drive thru.

The driver pulled to the drive thru and the little fat guy wouldn't even get up to explain to the driver what is going on. Driver called and let me stay on the pywhile he tried to find out something. This place seems to be in a downward spiral that will never get any better. Fried Green Tomatoes are the BEST I've had in many, many years. Sliced perfectly with a cornmeal breading that was seasoned to perfection and fried to a wonderful crispness and drizzled with the chipotle crema. I could have eaten 2 plates of them and been thoroughly satisfied. However I also had the Bootlegger Chicken Fried, not hot, minus the lettuce and onion. Also very good no sauce, spreads or dressings needed--seasoned well. Hubby had the Duo Dip and the Stillhouse Farm Burger. I only tested the Duo Dip which was also amazing but his plate was empty from the burger so that tells me it was good. He also had a side of Pimento Mac and cheese bake--YUMMY!! Drinks-- Cos-Moon-Politan was amazing and not lacking in anything. Short Mountain Long Island also quite yummy but I like the cosmo better. Moonshine Brownie Trifle--just don't. No really YOU ABSOLUTELY SHOULD GET THIS!!! OMG!!! Excellent finish to the entire experience.
