Just a well-rounded traditional grilltop burger. I wanted to equally enjoy the mini burgers that they offer as a special sometimes. However, I am just not a fan of how they cook the meat. These minis appear to be baked on a sheetpan and then cut to fit the mini buns. Whatever method is used, they lack the flavor. To me, they tasted like unseasoned hamburger and they were missing the crispy texture of a grill or pan fried burger. My wife took one bite and refused anymore. Onion rings are typically great. Fries are average. LOVE the milkshakes and banana split.

The Waffle House was crowded, however I was greeted when I walked in, and since I was alone, I could slip right in at the counter. I had coffee, which was tasty! A waffle, it was a bit crispy, but nothing that butter and syrup couldn't fix, I also had toast, bacon, eggs and tomatoes, it was all delicious, I'm glad I stopped to eat, it was a great breakfast, I'd stop there again given the chance.

If you want the salad bar, it's chock full of options. Grab a plate or bowl, pile it high, add your dressing, then weigh it at the register to pay. I ordered the fish and shrimp combo with green beans and sweet potato fries (around $13). This was hands down the best fried catfish I've ever had. The seasoning was incredible, and somehow none of the fried food was greasy -- not even my husband's fried okra (which was also the best I've ever tasted). We ordered chicken nuggets for my kiddo ($7), and I'm pretty sure they make them in-house. They were shaped like dinosaurs but actually full of real chicken -- moist, flavorful, and honestly the best nuggets I've had anywhere. The building is brand new, ultra clean, and decorated adorably. It's very kid-friendly, and the staff couldn't have been kinder. They keep a variety of sauces on each table (Louisiana hot sauce, A1, ketchup, tartar sauce, and more), which is such a nice touch. I truly can't find a single fault and already can't wait to come back. One tip: it fills up quickly at dinner -- but tables turn over fast, so don't let that scare you off!

A Convenient and Enjoyable Stop for a Good Meal While Traveling…read moreWhile traveling through Bowling Green, Kentucky, we decided to stop at the Qdoba Mexican Eats restaurant for a meal. This particular one was located on the southwest corner of Cave Mill Road and Scottsville Road. It was very convenient and only a short distance from the main roads through the area, making it an easy place to reach whether you are staying in Bowling Green or simply passing through on a road trip. There is ample parking in front of the restaurant, and getting in and out of the shopping center was pretty easy. I have visited many Qdoba locations in several different states over the years, and this one compares well with the others. One of the first things I noticed was that the restaurant seemed larger than many of the other Qdoba locations I have visited. The seating area seemed more open and spacious. The restaurant area, both inside and out, was clean . Ordering follows the standard Qdoba process. You begin at one end of the serving line, choose whether you want a burrito, bowl, tacos, or another entrée, and then customize it with your choice of rice, beans, meats, vegetables, sauces, and toppings as you move down the counter. At the end of the line you pay for your order. The drink station is a self-service setup located along the wall, making it easy to refill your beverage during your meal. The staff members were pleasant and prepared our food quickly and efficiently. Overall, this was a very good stop during our travels. Between the convenient location, friendly staff, good food, it was exactly what we were looking for. If you are traveling through the Bowling Green area and want a quick, fresh, and satisfying meal, I would certainly recommend this Qdoba to my fellow travelers.
