Sat outside while waiting for a car part. Was given excellent service and had the luxury to watch this staff work over a few hours. All were very sincere and hard working! Kudos to this outfit working their tails off and getting the job done! read more

terrible service and all of a sudden they do portion control with their sauces?? make it make sense!! i worked at sonic and that was never a thing! also the parking lot was terribly dirty with trash everywhere. car hop had a bad attitude read more

Waited over 25 minutes just for my drink to be wrong, mozzarella sticks to be cold, and to not have any of the ranch I asked for. Not the best way to end my Wednesday. read more

This fucking place takes their sweet time to make the food we have work not time to sit around for fucking 20 extra minutes

This is the worse sonic I've ever been to. It took 30 minutes for my order until I finally requested a refund. The lady was rude and had a terrible attitude when I asked for an update on my order after I was sitting for 15 mins. When I requested a refund she blamed the slow service on the fact that It's college town. This service here is ass. They know a lot of people go to sonic because the drinks are good and cheap but continue to under staff...!! read more

The worse sonic of all time the service is terrible.Every time i'm here I wait minimum 10-15 minutes for an ocean water only.( 1 FUXKIIN DRINK)!!!! Im never coming back to this sonic ever again. I'm going to the one on I-35 way better service. The employees here are very disrespectful and clearly non caring. Never Again I promise you. You will never ever see me here again. One more time Never again. Then on top of that as I'm typing this my order for an ocean water was supposed to ready at 11:11pm. it is 11:35pm. ONE MORE TIME NEVER AGAIN! read more

brandon is the GOAT excellent service from this place always; Give everyone a raise!!!

Bad service. Found a bug in my food. Manager seem like he had an attitude when i talked to him. Worst sonic location I've been. Never heading there again, I'll stick with the other locations. Don't recommend. read more

Waited 30 min for cold food, had to remind them to get it. Nobody checked up, seems like they forgot. Upon reading other reviews this seems to be a trend at this location. read more

Some sonics have good grilled cheese but bad fries. Some have bad grilled cheese but good fries. Some have both but have bad cherry liemade. This may be the first sonic where it's all been good. Minus half a star cause the menu made a scary sound. Thanks read more

Anytime I come here it's frustrating. Made the mistake of not checking the location of the Sonic before I placed my DoorDash order. I always avoid this place if I can and head to the Sonic on Aquarena instead. This Sonic is so frustrating and unhelpful. Poorly run. They left out the $5 mozzarella sticks from my order and when I reached out over the phone for reimbursement they said I should just "come to the store whenever and get free mozzarella sticks." There's no way to guarantee that? Or do y'all just make so many mistakes you start to just assume any complaint a customer has is valid? Literally go ANYWHERE else!!!!!!!!!!!! read more

They gave me two drinks with no ice... ICE. Very poor experience. I kinda expected more from sonic. I'm upset and I hope this doesn't happen again. I like sonic drinks read more

Sonic is my favorite place to get drinks! sadly, will not be coming to this specific Sonic no more. Ordered on the mobile app, took 10 minutes to get there and i waited an extra 30 minutes just to get my drink and tater tots (they ended up giving me cold fries that were half filled) as well no condiments. More staff is needed in this location other than that their shakes are very good. read more

It seems silly writing a review for a fast food place.. but I'm the type of b that yelps places just to make sure they're not terrible. SO- I was a bit apprehensive about stopping here on my way back to Austin cuz the reviews are terrible- but I gotta say, service was friendly and fast! Food was hot. Nikita was adorable and hustling her butt off. I got the soft pretzel for the first time cuz I saw some reviews about it and DANG! I've been sleepin on that. So yum. Overall, happy I gave this Sonic a shot! read more

I ordered on the app, just a shake and a drink. I was waiting for a good 15 minutes after checking in on the app, (I usually go to the Aquarena Springs Dr location and the service is very fast). I pressed the button just to check in and make sure the check in had worked because I didn't see the confirmation on the screen, and the woman who answered was very rude. Her tone was extremely irritable. "Ok, so ma'am, I have 15 cars in line for order pickups and only one car hop, I'm doing the best I can." I don't believe my question warranted the attitude/tone, I was very respectful and am a patient person. Food was fine, but their customer service skills need some work. read more

A poem, for the curious: I've waited 20 minutes For a soda no ice There's only 4 cars here I might just cry The button stopped working I can't drive away "It's only 2 bucks" But I've already paid. 0/10, thank you. read more

Waited 40 minutes for one drink and a medium cheddar pepper. It was not even busy. Highly confused, people pulling up way after me were getting their order and driving off. Didn't even get the side of ranch:/ read more

Almost every time I come to the sonic because it's close and convenient to me. They always seem to mess up my order every time. Today I stopped by and ordered food for my family and myself and the way it was over 45 minutes long and then when they brought out my food only brought half my food out. I had to tell the car what was missing and he said OK then 5 minutes later another person came out and asked what I was missing and I told him he said OK I got you boss. After i told them what was missing five minutes later a girl name Cindy brought up my food instead of anything else was missing let them know at this point I was very frustrated and ready to go home to take the food to feed my family when I go home and check the remaining balance of my food my son's popcorn chicken was still missing so now my wife went back to the store to explain what was wrong and why I was so frustrated. read more

We came to get a last minute dinner after a long day and the drive in speaker we tried didn't work and the nicest man (I think it was Emmanuel) paid for our order due to the confusion! Iced coffee machine down. Pretty much it is a guarantee that SOMETHJNG will be down at this location. Service takes WAY to long for 2 drinks. I had enough time to play Spider-Man. Call my mom. Bake a cake. Do my taxes and write this review by the time my two drinks came out. It takes 8-10 minutes for the wings to be made. This is ridiculous. Sonic you suck. What happened to y'all. Y'all use to be amazing with customer service. read more

Y'all took 45 minutes to get us a strawberry limade and a cherry coke. We saw at least 10 cars which some which most had food get their orders before us. The person over the intercom was very rude when I asked for updates about our meal and he repeatedly told us it was on the way when it wasn't. We had gone grocery shopping before hand and had meat and eggs that we needed to freeze but instead had to throw out half of our grocers Becuase we had to sit and wait for two large drinks for 45 minutes. Worst sonic in the San mo area. read more

I ordered 2 small things and it took over 20 minutes to be delivered. I'm actually still waiting. There was one girl running all the food! I felt so bad for her because there's like 30 stalls! How can she do all that by herself? Shame on sonic for putting her in that position. Congrats to her. Also the food just got here and it's great so I'm not super mad now. read more

This Sonic is terrible all I had was two drinks and it took FOREVER. And to top it off. They forgot about my order......

This place is literally awful but just what I would expect from a fast food location in san marcos. I've currently been here for 45 minutes there is only one other car and they just came to tell me that after a 45 minute wait they gave my food away to someone else. This place needs to be shut down read more

"Everybody loves Sonic "And the reason why they do... "At Sonic we don't start cooking "'Till we hear from you!" This Sonic has a great location, especially for a quick bite on the way out of town. Service and food can be a bit variable on occasion as with all Sonics. Also, this franchise doesn't always run the same same Sonic specials as the others in San Marcos. I'd give it four stars, but its barrio-esque location sometimes leaves you parked next to a "thumper", which can incite Sonic rage, if you'll pardon the pun. read more

I'm mean and I'm giving them 2 stars. Only because they tried to charge us to refill water. That's a little silly don't you think!? But it's sonic. Their nomtastic banana something or other milk shake was amazing and probably added had a jillion calories in it. *gasp!* read more

Worst Sonic ever. The food is fine, when I get it... Regularly a long wait and have messed up my order the last 4 times consecutively--from forgetting the filling in burritos to giving me cheese sticks when I ordered chicken tenders. Maybe that's on me for going back. Honestly has ruined every Sonic for me at this point. Wish I could give a negative 15 stars. read more

Worst sonic I have ever been to. After finding a hair in my burger I let them know and my complaint was completely disregarded. Sonic Drive-In - Terrible service - Burgers Near Me - San Marcos, Texas

I had the WORST experience ever at this location. It took almost an hour for me to get my food. When I spoke to the MOD he blamed me for the wait saying that me moving stalls was an issue. At first there was no parking so I ordered at the patio then a space opened up. I called again and let them know that Moved and they were okay with that. When he gave me the food he literally had the nerve to give me COLD FOOD. I called corporate and filed a complaint. I would rather drive a little further out to the other sonic In town than to wait an hour for my cold food. I absolutely love sonic but this is ridiculous. Side note: I called asking for a refund and the same MOD was questioning why I wanted my refund. read more

Wish I could leave 0 stars. WORST Sonic there ever was. Come here and see for yourself! This place has the worst management/ work crew you can find. Astonishingly amazing how mind blowing how bad the service is at this location. There's another sonic down the road that's perfect ); read more

VERY SLOW service. Ordered in the app. Said that the food was ready and was being brought out 30 minutes later it still was not out. Waited a total of 45 minutes for my food, got the food and it was cold. My slushes were melted. Completely ridiculous don't go here. read more

Worst Sonic I've ever been to. I love the Sonic breakfast burritos, but this is the third times they've just left out an entire ingredient. First was tater tots, second and third time they didn't put any sausage in my sausage burrito. Once is a fluke, twice is a coincidence, but three times takes the cake. I would go and just order a burger instead, but they might forget to put the patty between the buns. If I want sonic, I'll go out of my way to one of the other locations instead, and I suggest everyone else does as well. read more

The manager was so nice and still made shakes for me and my bf even though they were closed!

If I could give this location 0 stars I would!!! I made a mobile order that said it would be ready around 10:15pm so I arrived at 10:16 and alerted them that I was here. It is now 10:50pm and still my order is not out. Being that they close in 10 minutes I would assume that they would have it out faster but who knows. Once 15 minutes had passed I hit the button again to let them know I am still here and they said "Sorry it will be out soon" and hung up the intercom. I cannot believe the service here and have never experienced something like this. They need some new management to get these orders out faster because I watched as others around me got their orders out quicker than I did. Ridiculous. DO NOT GO HERE. read more

The audacity of this sonic. I came into this sonic today to grab some quick popcorn chicken and a large Fanta. While ordering I thought to myself what about a slushy? So I ask the girl do y'all have Fanta slushies? Not just orange slushies but slushies made with legit Fanta flavoring. Fanta has always been my favorite soda of choice and I know the difference. So excited as ever I receive my popcorn chicken and Fanta slushy and take one big gulp. And it taste like an ORANGE CRUSH slushy! All I wanted to know is the truth! I would have gladly just sipped on a orange Fanta with not even batting an eye. DO NOT get their orange Fanta slushy. Popcorn chicken was good, bbq sauce made it better. read more
