About 5 minutes later a voice said "I'll be right with you" we waited 10 to 15 more minutes and no response while others ordered and got drinks. I thought I would try another drive up area and order. I was there this afternoon and I ordered 1 cheeseburger, 2 hot fudge shakes and 1 heath blast. I was there for 21 minutes. No exaggeration. I checked the timing by the texts I was sending. I don't know about the burger. It was for my dad and I didn't get any feedback. But the blast that was for me, literally had absolutely no heath pieces. I dug and rooted. Not 1 piece. I went back (I had just pulled out and was at a light when I checked) and asked about it The person who answered my page said "for a small we only put 1 scoop". Pretty sure I would have seen evidence if they had put ANY in it. They did send out a generous scoop of heath that I was able to mix in. However - I was told by the people who received the shakes that there was the most MINIMAL hot fudge flavor in their shakes. My visual of them did seem very light colored- but I didn't try them at the restaurant. This is not the norm for sonic shakes. They are usually really good. This is the second time in a row I have been dissatisfied with my order from this Sonic. Last time (one week ago) I ordered a chili cheese coney and it was the toughest hot dog I've ever eaten. This time, my son's Wacky Pack fries literally had eleven (11) fries. My daughter's burger was missing the bacon I added in the app and her burger was cold. All other food was warm to hot. I waited for about 45 minutes for a mobile order milkshake, after it was marked complete. A few customers went up front to see if we could find out what was happening. there was one man making deliveries, and was going very slowly and ignoring us. we could see multiple orders lined up on the counter where they had been completed 45 minutes - an hour previously and not delivered. Eventually cracked open the door and asked how long the wait for our order would be, and they found it on the counter and gave it to us immediately. Sonic's new hot dogs are are good deal and really delicious. I had the Chicago dog (posted a pic), which had mustard, relish, a pickle spear (kind of sweet...I would prefer a Kosher dill spear to offset the sweetness of the sweet relish), and "hot" peppers, celery salt, all on a poppy seed bun. The hot dog itself has the taste and texture of a premium brand, something like Boar's Head. There are other varieties, but I didn't try them on this visit. I did have a foot-long chili and cheese Coney, though. I remember when the cheese on these was actual, shredded cheese. Now they use that crappy nacho-style liquified stuff that has no flavor. Blah. ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE. (For context i am an extremely understanding customer service worker for 5 years myself) First of all we got there at 11, a whole hour before closing and someone else pulled up a stall down from us. The whole time i'm hearing some weird conversation through the mic and the man is trying to get this girls attention. She's on the phone while being on the mic so everyone can hear about all her drama she's going through which may I add was definitely a very provocative conversation. EXTREMELY UNPROFESSIONAL but i understand, accidents happen. We finally get to our turn to get our order taken 20 minutes after pulling up. The girl keeps making long pauses and makes me repeat my order multiple times. I finally am wrapping up my order in which i ask for an icecream, the one thing i came here for. The girl says the machine is broken, again, i understand so i finish my order and wait. However, I can hear the man next to me ordering, and the girl and him are having a very extensive and weird conversation, I digress. At the end of his order, he places an order for an ice cream and lo and behold two minutes later, the girl walks out with his ice cream. We decided to leave as we had been sitting there for close to an hour and had been lied to about the machine being broken. The girl running orders is no way at fault may i mention. I went to sonic this afternoon around 2. Tried to place an order. I don't know if the mic in the car hop area is messed up or if it was just the cashier/ asst manager. I had my entire order right on the screen except the last item she couldn't understand me on a sweet tea she said. I repeated my self about 5 times she was still getting it wrong. Then she asked me to speak up so I said it louder she still couldn't understand. So I said it at almost a yell. But instead of coming out side or sending someone out there to find out what the problem was. Her exact words were. "I don't have time for this leave the property". I went to the door to explain what was going on and all she could do was yell at me and tell me to leave the property. I asked for the manager she said she was the manager on duty. I asked for her bosses info she told me he would be there tomorrow. I asked for a number to reach him I was expecting the store number. She said I can't give you that it is private. This young inexperienced manager has no right running a restaurant. She needs to work on her customer service and get more years experience under her belt before she tries to take on a roll like that read more
