Stopped from Charleston WV to Cincinnati OH. ( we travel this route often to visit family) because my son wanted a hot dog. - Went through the drive- thru & an employee friend must have been at the window talking ( which would have been no problem ) the employee walked out with our food ( hot dog and two applesauce pouch) & she took our card inside. I pulled the hot dog out and a bite was taken from it. Since I am an avid reviewer I typically would have snapped a pic but I didn't get a chance . We showed the girl employee once she came back out and she apologized and said they would remake it. I decided at that point we wanted just a refund . I walked up to the door and knocked as the employee chatted with her friend at the window. Explained we were trying to feed our 4 year old the hotdog and now we are just skeptical about the whole situation and asked for a refund. She said they were dropping new hot dogs. I told her no we just wanted a refund. I was told refund was given 7-10 business days. Learned my lesson ... will not stop here again when passing thru. Went to DQ and got our hot dog. read more

Ordered on the app, arrived and was auto checked in, order was shown in process on the screen, then that it was on way, never arrived. Waited in the drive thru and asked at the intercom, was told to pull forward, get to the window was told they could not make the milkshakes we had ordered and that they could not give us a refund since we ordered on the app. and that "we should have known" that they didn't take food to the stalls after 8pm. The worst experience of a long list of bad experiences at that location. Will not go back read more

This place is honestly the worst sonic in history every time i go there theres always something stupid happening earlier i ordered she was really rude and there intercom box was barley working and i just wanted a blue raspberry slushie with strawberrys i got a cup full of ice with a little bit of blue raspberry and maybe 5 little strawberrys buffalo chicken bits are the only reason why i go back but they are always rude everytime i go and always give me the wrong thing read more

They came out soggy and dark looking. I took a bite hoping it'd be just a texture thing but nope, disgusting. Tater tots were fine and I've had the Jumbo popcorn and it was good. Service was polite and nice but that's about all. read more

I loathe this place. I love the food, I love the restaurant chain in general, but I absolutely loathe this specific business. In a fair and just world, it would have gone out of business several years ago as simply a natural and fair consequence of the inexcusable failures of those in charge. Today was my last visit here, I won't be going back again, ever. Several years ago they started doing this thing of making you guess whether or not they will bring your food out to you. Some days they decide to bring your food out to you, some days they decide they will not be bringing it out to you and that instead you'll have to drive around to the window and ask for it, most days they decide to just let your food sit around inside until you get tired of waiting and ask them what's going on. Regardless of the day, they absolutely will not communicate any of these things to you whatsoever. Instead, they will just make you try to figure it out on your own. What sort of food service restaurant built around drive-up and park ordering decides that on certain days they will not let you use their drive-up and order system, or that you can use it but you'll have to guess whether or not they'll bring you your food?? This is not a one-off experience, folks. This business is consistently the most obnoxiously bad in town. read more

We arrived at sonic at 12:48 pm. we did not get our food until 1:53 pm. when we got here there was only 1 other car ordering. after we sat here for over an hour and our food finally came out and it was cold. I ordered sauced jumbo popcorn chicken honey bbq flavored and when it came out it was cold and barely had any sauce on the chicken at all, we ordered an ocean water and she brought out a regular water. we ordered ranch when we ordered the first time and when she brought us our order there wasn't ranch so we told her we had an ocean water and needed the ranch we ordered. she brought back an ocean water but there wasn't any ranch. when we asked where the ranch was she rolled her eyes and said "oh my god." overall i do not recommend this place because the workers were so rude and the food was cold and not good enough to wait an hour for. do not waste ur time and money here. i will never come back to this sonic ever. worst experience ever! highly dislike this place and the workers. read more

Avoid at all costs!! Terrible experience here multiple times. The last time which caused me to write this review, the young lady taking my order was very rude & condescending. She told me that this location does not offer creamslush is at all when I tried to order one. I ended up ordering the #7 which at this location (I think all locations) is a foot-long chili cheese hot dog. She got very exasperated with me and asked me which type I wanted, I was of course confused because the number seven is a foot-long chili cheese dog. I told her I want a # 7, the foot-long which does not include the Chicago or American dogs being they are regular size hotdogs. This got her even more upset. In the end this location acted like the customer is an annoyance rather than the reason they are there to begin with. There's been many other instances with this Sonic which is only one of two in this area. I've decided not to go back to this sonic which leaves me with one Sonic way across town. I'm from Texas were Sonic's are everywhere and really like their food and ice cream but this girl put the cherry on top of my "never coming back" Sundae. Avoid at all costs!! read more

Ordered via the app. When the food was brought out, we were told that they were out of onion rings. Since we paid via the app, we needed to request a refund via the app. There we were told that they couldn't process a partial refund. So we were just out the price of the onion rings. Simple theft. Won't be back. read more

Love the sonic blast and the people in Jackson Ohio make them perfect ,plus very polite

The last 5 times I've been here they say they are out of onion rings, no mater what time of day it is they are out of onion rings. It is literally the only good side they have, their fries are soggy and gross and most of the time their tater tots are cold, even when you have to wait 10-15 minutes for them. read more

04/24/2022 I ordered a number 1 and a number 8. They first round I got cold fries and a cold sandwich. Second round I got fired with so much salt I almost vomited and a burger with grease so thick the bun was soggy! I asked for a refund and went somewhere else. No apology or anything. I eat at sonic all the time in Portsmouth and their food is great. This is twice the food has been atrocious from this place. They were also out of onion rings. read more

Bad experience at Jackson sonic. They were super busy so I get it but kinda sucky. Yummy slushee I got good flavor but won't tell you it's a secret. My friend fry cold. I really want to post a better review than this, but I've been consistently disappointed by this location. The people who work there are all really friendly and obviously hard workers. They are always sympathetic and understand that what is happening is annoying. They're awesome, and obviously something else is going on out of their control. Maybe they're not trained enough, the menu has a million items. But, it seems like every other time I go there, what I want is unavailable. Or they don't make it anymore. Or they personally don't know how to make it it. Or whatever. All I know is 50% of the time they can't give me what I ordered. Recently had to wait 30 minutes for two hot dogs, four drinks, and a breakfast burrito. The rest of town didn't have electricity, but they weren't terribly swamped -- only two cars in front of me and two behind. Most fast food places regularly experience that volume of traffic, shouldn't be that long of a wait. It did seem like maybe someone had called off work, as an employee rushed in about 15 minutes into our wait. Just really needs to work on consistency. If you order a drink, it should taste sort of the same every time and not be wildly different. And if you don't have it anymore, take it off the menu. Even if it is just taping over it. Or order a more recent menu. Sure, that looks sketchy, but there have been at LEAST 3 items in recent history I've tried to order and been told they don't serve anymore. I have no confidence when ordering that I will get what I'm expecting. read more

Stopped here on a Sunday afternoon and there was a complete lack of service. A few cars were there already waiting in the parking spots and one car in the drive-thru. I started to place my order by pressing the call button as an employee comes out of the back door on his phone. After a couple minutes of waiting a manager comes out after him yelling. After a bit of an argument a couple spots down from our parking spot the manager went back inside and the employee got in his car. We waited few more minutes and still no one has taken our order. Giving them the benefit of the doubt I parked in a different spot thinking the order station was broken. I attempted to place an order at a different station but after several minutes there was still no response. I understand that some of this was out of the managers hands but this experience left a very sour taste in my mouth.
