The food was horrendous I will never in my life spend another dollar with sonic I spent 17 dollars and threw the food out after 3 bites

I placed an order through uber eats and was not only missing one of my items, but one of my drinks were also wrong. I tried to call the phone- no answer, so I drove over. These people had customers sitting at the drive thru speaker- completely ignoring them. Not even saying a word, so I pulled into a stall and pressed the button. Apparently every website that has them listed as closing at 1 is wrong because the person on the other end of the speaker said they were closed. I asked for a manager contact because my order was sent out wrong, and he got rude and told me that after delivery orders leave the building it's "no longer their problem"... like what? YOU got the order wrong not the delivery driver. He told me the general manager would be there the next day and then in an impatient- snappy tone gave me the phone number. I don't understand why these people work customer service when they lack it so much. Do sum else. Disgusting. read more

Was in line almost 20 minutes or so and the cashier kept saying wait one second wait one second on our own on speaker when I did a order online paid for that should've been ready at 5:32. It's 5:50 PM now and still no food. read more

Went for a bag of ice. A BAG OF ICE. I was the only one at the drive through....... By the time she took my order, 25 MINUTES had passed. I kid you not. There was a very long line behind me; several people actually pulled out & left because they waited so long. By the time the girl took my order, 25 MINUTES had passed. Once pulling to the window, it was handed right to me. To wait 25 MINUTES while NO ONE was in front of me is ridiculous & so uncalled for. This Sonic will be CLOSED if they don't improve customer service. Waiting 25 MINUTES IN THE DRIVE-THRU WHILE NO ONE WAS IN FRONT OF ME IS SO UNCALLED FOR!!!! read more

the little girl taking orders is dumb as dirt. can you repeat the order back to me please, I already did. she hangs up the intercom. I push the red button, she says, pushing the button is t gonna make your order come quicker. order came out wrong, duh. I don't know why I'm writing, seems as though multiple people feel the same way. rude order taker. management doesn't care, obviously corporate doesn't care either. bye bye! read more

One of the most ratchet places I have ever been to with their slow azzes and their rude ppl at the sonic drive thru. One young man came out to see what we ordered and he was a I'm sweetheart I think he may be the manager but whoever the girl is that is taking orders at stall #5 needs customer service presentation because she acts like she got her manners from sears and roebuck! We have literally been sitting here for 25 minutes waiting for our food burning out my good old ugh!!! read more

Sonic Drive-In - My medium corn dog smh - Burgers Near Me - Gastonia, North Carolina

It has been three years since my last review, and boy......let me tell ya, I'm going to schedule myself for a cat-scan because I decided it would be a great idea to try this armpit again. I suppose if "consistency" is a metric we would want to use to use to measure quality, then this place does not disappoint. It is slow, dirty, poorly managed, and as awful as it's ever been. I think you would be better off purchasing some of the local opioids here in Gastonia, getting racked out of your mind, and then just eating gravel. That's going to be a better experience than dining at the Sonic on South. New Hope. read more

This is the worst sonic ever! Rude employees, poor service! They take forever and to take the order as though they are hoping you will go away. Then they take forever times 2 to make and deliver the order. Terrible. read more

I order online and they never get anything right. Terrible service. Would never order here again and I used to love coming here. Not anymore

I wish I could leave 0 stars. This is the worst place ever. I don't come often but when I do it's always 30 mins. Dosent matter what you get. I'm surprised they even have 1.5 stars. That's to much itself. They messed up my last order terribly. They have to mail me a gift card instead of just giving me a refund. Then they put 2 free drinks on my account to make up for the extra few dollars they owe me and then I go to use them and I have to buy something and can only use 1 at a time. I didn't come back here to buy more stuff. I will never come back here again. read more

Been waiting almost 30 minutes for a burger and a milkshake and staff does not seem too rather to rush the process. One star for location and service not for food quality if restaurant. read more

I AM DONE WITH THIS LOCATION!!! The manager got in touch with me about my previous review and offered to replace two milkshakes. I went in, unsuccessfully, to do so. That's just the beginning of my problem. I ordered two combos, a footlong coney medium, and a popcorn chicken large. When the order arrived I said to the car hop, "those are small drinks! What size are those?" The carhop said they were small, looked at the receipt, and sees we paid for medium. The car hop offered to replace the drinks. It was a while before she came back. I was about to leave when I see her come back. She says they (I don't know who) "said you paid for smalls. Sorry," and walked away. I asked to speak with a manager and was told one wasn't available. This is such BS for a few reasons: Sonic does not sell "small" combos. My receipt matches the menu prices for medium combos. I was charged an additional $1.00 for a large combo when the menu says $0.90, so in addition, I was overcharged $0.10. Not a big deal, but how many people is this happening to? It adds up over time. I filled in the form online to contact corporate, and unlike last time, I have not heard back from a regional manager. read more

well I have ordered before. been ok. have had some weird orders. but ordered yes on the night of Christmas Eve an hour before they close. but they accepted my order. a burger and tots. dasher get there in like 10 min after I placed it. their waiting for like 15 min or so. WHY ACCEPT the order if you are understaffed and can't push it out. DoorDash charges your account asap. so why??? now you get a one star review for this. poor management. seems like something needs to be changed for sure. read more

I drove 20 min to this Sonic last week with my grandsons bc they really like Sonic. We were told that they weren't serving bc their computers were down. We just returned to the same location and were told that they were only accepting on line orders. So I sat in the car in 90 degree heat, trying to input an order on my phone with a SLOW internet connection. Get your act together!!! read more

You will be waiting for the rest of your life for a shake smh!! This is the worst sonic I have ever been to.

Who has a Slushie machine that has claimed to be broken for 5 weeks straight? Sonic on New Hope Who has had a 5 cars sitting at the drive through for 9 minutes and the customer had to call into the store on the phone before someone came on the speaker? Sonic on New Hope Who claimed the ice cream AND slushie machine was broken last week? Sonic on New Hope Who had their the signage lights off so you can't read the menu board? Sonic on New Hope Are you seeing a theme here? It takes a ridiculous amount of time to simply get a drink. They rarely answer the drive up spots. And there's no organization. It's never been great service- but I'm not sure there is any type of management at all there now. The employees are rude. Half the things you order, they cut you off and say they're out of or "it don't work." read more

No napkins. Ordered a Chili Cheese Coney Combo, & some burger on Texas toast bbq sauce with onions ring. No onion ring, lettuce was brown & soggy, but the meat tasted old. After spending $18 and some change for a hotdog and burger we decided to get our money back. the guy sitting outside ask if he could help us with something we told him how the food tasted strange he offered to cook the food over and we just politely told him we just wanted the money back. You can watch the video and listen to his reaction after accusing us of eating a "good bit"of the food. We took ONE BITE. After arguing with us about re-cooking the food, we ask him to look at the sandwich and see if he would eat it. He said the lettuce was brown because of the barbecue sauce. We have to stop eating at these places and letting these $15 an hour workers get by with feeding slop to us. read more

Not only is this place slower than any other sonic, they shut their ice cream machine "down for the night" with 2 hours of them still being open - went at 830 on a Wednesday and they're open till 1030. If that wasn't bad enough they said their slushy machine is broke and they don't get a new one until OCTOBER This place is useless. read more

If I could do zero stars I would. I give this place a chance multiple times but EVERY time my order is wrong and I go home with most of my items but the wrong sandwich or wrong drink. And don't think about ordering online either, they still your money and never give refunds when your is wrong or they just choose not to give you ice cream etc. Worst place in Gastonia! read more

On a Sunday night at 7:45, we arrived at Sonic. About 7:30, I ordered two drinks through the mobile app, and they were ready at 7:50. At 7:50 we arrived there. In the app, I entered the stall number. My order should have been prepared by this time. My mom finally had to go get a worker and our drinks around 8:00. In the kitchen, another employee was vaping. The meal was only fair. won't be coming back. read more

Foood is never hot always just barely warm, they close early before posted hours. Save your money and go elsewhere .

There is something off with this place. I've tried it several times and it's not good. The food is often cold. They upcharge you without asking (example order a combo they will upgrade you to a large and not ask, but charge you). They don't give you condiments or straws even if you order them (nothing out of the ordinary...think ranch for your nuggets). Food takes a very long time to come out whether you preorder it, place it at the mic or do the drive thru. I absolutely do not recommend this place. Do not do it. I will not be back. read more

They need to change this place to seriously slow food. I'm with a coworker and we've been waiting in this drive thru for 30+ minutes, hell it took them 10 minutes for them to acknowledge us at the drive thru speaker. I was able to go to the gas station heat my own food use the bathroom at circle k and come back and he still was waiting to order. I'd rate this a ZERO star food joint but yelp wont let me. read more

This place is a joke. Sat at the drive thru for 15 minutes before anyone even acknowledged me..only to tell me to hold on longer. Don't even bother pulling up here. They have no staff half of the time and the food has been garbage llately. I sent my son to pick up something for me as I was sick with the flu. 1st, they couldn't make and orange cream slush, fine. Next I wanted a bacon burrito and the bacon was old, it was cold and just thrown together (clearly this person didn't know how to roll a burrito). Then the tater tots were old, cold and stale. They had old French fries mixed in as if some scraped the bottom of the barrel instead of making more. Lastly, my son asked for ketchup and salsa, didn't get that. If I weren't so sick, I would've driven back just to throw it at them. They really just need to shut down. But, I WILL NEVER GO BACK AGAIN. read more

yall served me carbonated sprite and then the tea was fuck up like whts going on sonic

I wish I could do zero stars. This Sonic is a joke. The staff is rude, disorganized and completely oblivious to customers. I am a doordasher and I had to call my customer three times because the Sonic staff kept telling me the customer cancelled their order when this was not the case. The order finally came out 25 minutes later...mind you this order was a burger and a hot dog with a sundae. When the order came out there was no sundae and the carhop said the customer did not order one, when it was clearly on the receipt. She then stormed inside and never came back out, I called the store and had a 10 minute conversation with the woman inside and finally at the end she said they were out of ice cream. This is only half of the story but my thumbs do not have the energy to continue typing. I DO NOT RECOMMEND going to this Sonic....you would regret it. read more

Horrendous wait time for "fast food" I spent 20 minutes waiting at the speaker for no one to say anything with a line of 4 behind me waiting- I can understand being short staffed and am normally extremely patient but this is not the first time we have had to wait over 10 minutes just to get a "hello"or a "be right with you" read more

This place is a wreck. I placed a mobile order and waited 30 minutes. We had a larger order with multiple drinks so I understood the time.
