Overall service was very good; our server was pleasant, attentive and patient throughout our stay. Our party mostly ordered the various burger options ( all were juicy and served with mayo ) served with either fries or a side salad and I'd recommend the Hangover Burger myself. The spicy chicken sandwich was another good option for chicken lovers. Again we passed on the pastries but the ice cream was very good. I again witnessed the tale of two restaurants as the primary business and labor focus appears to be on the ice cream, baked goods and pastries side which did impact the in dining side service of the business. Could just have been a staffing issue but something to be aware of when considering table service. Overall restaurant offered friendly service and good food that's reasonably priced.

The place was packed, the drive thru line was wrapped around the building and the customers were growing impatient waiting for their orders. We got in line and waited to place our order wondering if we made a mistake. It wasn't a very long wait until we were ablet to place our orders and even though Andy's was as busy as it was, the gentleman that took our order was really nice and patient. Long story but in the end that same gentleman singlehandedly finished taking orders, jumped into the back and caught all of the walk up orders up by hustling back and forth. There were three people working the drive thru and he, alone, was taking orders and filling them. I wish I had his name to give him the proper props. There was a long wait but given the hustle of this one employee I was okay with the wait. I ordered the triple chocolate concrete. They were out of cookie dough so I substituted for brownie. Overall it was a good choice for chocolate lovers. The ice cream is very smooth and their is not shortage of cookie dough or chocolate chips. Overall, a great place for a twist on ice cream. Great location and I will say this could have been a horrible experience had it not been for that one employee.

The frozen chocolate turtles and Oreo Wheels looked especially inviting. We decided to start with a classic cup of chocolate custard, served by a cheerful young woman whose friendliness added a warm touch to the visit. Once back in the car and heading home, the custard proved disappointing. While the texture was smooth and creamy, the flavor fell flat--surprisingly lacking in chocolate richness. I even gave it a second try to confirm Mrs. K.'s impression, but we ended up discarding most of it. Perhaps it was just an off batch. If I'm back in Rock Hill or Tega Cay, I might give Abbott's another chance. [Review 1420 of 2025 - 1360 in South Carolina - 24971 overall]

Yuminess: 4/10 Allergy Safety: 5/10…read morePrice: 5/10 Atmosphere: 8/10 Service: 7/10 Overall: The best part of this place is its cute, relaxed atmosphere with a retro vibe -- definitely a place I wouldn't mind hanging out in for a bit. Unfortunately, the coffee and ice cream didn't hit the spot and tasted off, even though they were on the higher end of the typical price range. There wasn't a great range of allergy-friendly options aside from alternative milk for the coffee, and staff were cordial. Not somewhere I'd return personally, but perhaps I just ordered the wrong things. In-depth: Starting with the best part, the atmosphere is a cute, cartoony retro vibe that's a great spot to hang out with friends in. If nothing else, they 100% got the interior design down here! Sadly, the food didn't live up to my expectations. The mocha latte with almond milk tasted like there was no milk or mocha in it. It was incredibly strong, which I don't always mind, but the coffee itself wasn't the best either. I only drank about half of it. Then the ice cream... I really wanted to love it. I tasted several and none I fancied, so I went with the safe bet of a chocolate PB cup ice cream in a PB cup cone. The overall flavor was ok, but I've never had peanut butter that salty. If I wasn't out with friends, I'm not convinced I would've finished it. Additionally, they didn't appear to have many allergy-friendly options, with the only thing I saw being alternative milks for coffee. The price point was a bit high for the flavor, in my opinion. One scoop of ice cream in a special cone was $7, and a mocha with almond milk was $8. I'm willing to pay this when the flavor is there, but I was disappointed here. Last up, service! When I went, there were two employees; the woman was very sweet and nice, but the man appeared somewhat annoyed, but he could have just been tired. Unfortunately, we did run into the issue of one of our orders being forgotten, and we waited a while to get it. However, they apologized and fixed it promptly when we asked about it. Overall, I wouldn't return here, but perhaps I just ordered the wrong things as I know some locals love this spot.
