Service is so wonderful and fast! My fiancé and I came in 8 min before close for the best mozzarella sticks and milkshakes in town(yes we know... right before close...) Dwayne the manager was on the mic through the drivethru and he he professional, patient, and funny! Bell was at the window and was the absolute sweetest and yet again professional!! Haven't had Sonic in 3 - 4 years since moving from Nebraska. Was very sad to see they didn't have any onion rings and on top of that they added mustard on my hotdog when there wasn't any mention of mustard being requested on the entire order along with using moldy bread. Awful place. They are dirty and rude. They refuse to wear masks. They do whatever they want. It doesn't matter what you want. You try to order a bag of ice and it is ridiculous hoops to jump. The website says they deliver. I tried and tried to order via their app and the website. It would not let me. There is no place on the screen to order ice. "They do not make substitutions. You get what you get I called them and some guy that could barely speak if they delivered. He said NO rather loudly. I tried to ask about the app not working and he had no idea what an app is. I don't think I have ever left a negative review of a Sonic, I love their large, fresh, homemade juicy burgers and many of their side items and the food has always been excellent. Until today with my stop in Dawsonville. My first clue should have been the general lack of upkeep to the property and building or maybe the fact that there were only three other cars and only one of the three was occupied. Of course, I also should have read some of the other reviews but alas, I just went based upon past experience at other locations. Never again! My next sign should have been the total confusion in the ordering process. We had to start three times and I asked for a single cheeseburger with everything and if they would add jalapeno slices. Although I have ordered this numerous times before at multiple locations around the country this was an extreme challenge here. Then I asked for a side order of their Frito Chili Cheese Pie which was on the menu in front of my window advertising it for $0.99 for a small. Again lots of confusion and we had to begin all over again. At first, they did not have this item and then wanted to substitute for Tots. My drink order, a medium unsweet tea was the easy one. It took over half an hour for me to get my order which I totally did not understand with the lack of customers and it being lunchtime but against better judgment, I did not leave and waited it out. When my waitress arrived I told her I had swiped my card but the display never gave me a confirmation and she said, "Oh those things have never worked." I was told my order was $10.67 which seemed high for any previous visit I had made and asked if there was a receipt showing what I was paying. She said yes, but apparently, you can only view the receipt after they run your card. Once I paid I found out the medium drink was $2.19 and there was an upcharge of $0.30 for a small slice of old lemon. I also paid an upcharge of $0.60 for jalapeno slices that never made it to my burger. To add insult to injury, the Frito Cheese Pie advertised for $0.99 was charged at $2.99. Inquiries to the order taker via speaker the only response was "What's on the sign doesn't matter it goes by what's in here." The food quality was horrible, my burger was cold, not warm but cold like it had been kept in a refrigerator. The cheese was not melted and the hamburger patty was so overcooked I could barely bite into it. I could not eat the burger and opened the expensive side of Frito Chile Cheese Pie and it also was cold, the Fritos were soggy and it tasted awful. I hope this is an isolated really horrible Sonic location and the entire chain has not gone down the drain. I had one bite of the burger and two bites of the Chili Cheese Pie and it was all I could stomach. read more

This is absolutely the crappiest Sonics I have ever been to. I order a #1, the second time this month where there were no onion rings available as a side. The picture on the menu board advertised lettuce on the burger, and there wasn't any. I asked for the #1 to have everything on it. I had 4 little diced-up pieces of onion, on piece of pickle and one piece of slimy tomato anout the size of a silver dollar. But it did come assembled on a hard dried out ice-cold frozen bun at no extra charge! I ordered extra mayo there wasn't any at all on it either. I ordered a limeade with extra lime juice, not an extra lime and I specifically said that twice actually, when he repeated it back to me an extra lime. But what do you know, I was charged .40 extra for an extra lime where there wasn't even ONE lime in my cup at all. Don't waste your time folks. I was here at lunchtime and my picture shows just how busy they are at noon. read more

First the good news. Shakes and icy creations are wonderful. Perhaps a tad on the sweet side but tasty . I felt like was was being rewarded with every sip for something I should be very proud of but required little effort on my part. The rest of the menu is just disgusting. It's greasy, looks better in the picture than after you buy it and tastes worse. About an hour after I ate here I wanted to commit suicide just to end the detonations in my belly. The hotdog chili should come with nuclear warnings. Service was ploddingly slow. There was only one other customer on the lot and our order took forever to come out. Okay, so I used to love this sonic. But lately they've been letting crackheads run the restaurant. My order, it's not that hard, every time I get a blue coconut creme slush. That's all I ask for, a blue coconut creme slush. So please tell me why, the past three times I've purchased slushes from this location, tell me why my drinks come with complimentary peanut butter that I did NOT ask for. The woman who serves me assures me that they are having problems training new employees. Well, she should probably train them to leave the peanut butter out of my creme slush. I heard this place caught on fire a few months ago. I think they probably should have just let this sonic burn to the ground. Then they could have atleast collected a nice insurance check. Had to push the button about four times to get anybody to answer and try to take our order. We ordered two milkshakes waited 15 minutes and then left. We watched one of the girls deliver some drinks to a car and she did not bring them straws so she had to go back into the building to get straws and take them straws. The inefficiency of this business is appalling! Drove across the street to culvers got two excellent milkshakes in about 30 seconds. We will not ever be back to sonic. Sad. read more
