I'm giving them grace because they're obviously short staffed and the place was pretty busy. I read the reviews beforehand so I kinda knew what to expect with service speed and customer service. I was really craving a hotdog so although it took about 40 minutes to successfully submit my order and receive my food, I'm thankful! The hotdog was everything I expected and I even got a strawberry limeade for this random 70° weather. The manager(?) was servicing the drive through and the kiosk orders. He made sure all of my items were correct & that I had all of my sauces in the bag. Although I'm not a regular Sonic patron I wouldn't mind returning to this location in the future. read more

I had to wait at least 25 minutes on food and it was cold and I got sick after eating it all.

I honestly don't like leaving bad reviews, but this experience was really disappointing. I ordered a Footlong Quarter Pound Coney and Chili Cheese Tots online around 8:30 p.m. When I got to the restaurant, the drive-thru line was completely empty, but I still didn't get my food until around 9:15 p.m. After waiting that long, I got home only to find that the Coney was cold and didn't even seem fully cooked, so I couldn't eat it. The Chili Cheese Tots were so hard they were basically rocks and were impossible to eat. The only things that were actually good were the 5-piece Crispy Tenders and the Blue Raspberry Lemonade. What made it even more frustrating was that the restaurant didn't seem short-staffed. I even got out of my car to ask what was taking so long and saw several employees in the back. Waiting that long is one thing, but waiting that long just to get cold, inedible food is really frustrating. I expected a lot better, and this experience honestly makes me not want to come back to this Sonic location. read more

If I could put 0 I would. Worst fast food place I've ever been. Horrible service. Been there 4 times and have yet to get any food

Terrible location with a tremendously long wait time. I tried going inside and was told I had to go through the drive-thru instead - just a FYI, the inside seems to be closed even for ordering. It's completely dark inside for the sit in dining area. The person taking orders over the drive-thru speaker sounded like she absolutely hated her job and had no desire to be there. The food took over 25 minutes and the crazy part is that it was only one slushie, no actual food. I was asked 4 times what's the name for the order before I actually got the slushie. By the time I left, about 4 cars behind me had already received their food. I don't recommend this location. read more

customer service was terrible. We got five drinks. All all five drinks were all wrong overall not worth the $48. Food was cold not worth the drive and gas. read more

customer service terrible. Got five drinks. None of them were right we got food. None of the orders were wasn't drive or the money. I spent $45 on something that I want. read more

I arrived at the drive-thru about an hour before closing, only to be told by a young lady working there that they were "done taking orders for the night." That's completely unacceptable. If the business hours say you're open, you should be serving customers. Turning people away well before closing time is poor customer service and reflects badly on management. Disappointed. read more

We waited over 30 minutes for our food and the order was incomplete. They were understaffed and prioritized the drive thru over any of the stalls. read more

Incredibly long wait times, even if the restaurant is slow. The food isn't good enough to justify the wait... doesn't matter if you are parking or drive thru read more

This review is for Michelle! She was the food runner on 5/22/2025. Despite being clearly short staffed inside and the place being busy she kept a positive attitude, got our entire order right and had amazing customer service! Even double checked with us that we got everything before we left since we ordered a lot! Very sweet lady and I wanted to make sure she gets the recognition she deserves because she made an experience that could've been a "we probably should've went somewhere else" completely worth it! (: Thankyou Michelle! read more

They are operating drive thru only and it's super inconvenient if you have the app.all of the drive up spots have causation tape around them or there are cars parked blocking the spaces. Looks very tacky. I tried placing an app order and it wasn't working properly. I tried to get some help once I got to the drive they speaker and the employee wasn't helpful. I ended up placing 2 separate orders one in the app and one at the speaker. The drive thru line was extremely slow also to only be operating that one way. I don't normally come to sonic but when I do it's for the 1/2 drinks and slushes thru the app or any deal they have going on. I was upset the deal wasn't working right that day but hey there no real tech support for these things. I've don't think I've ever been at least satisfied by this specific place. If you're a fan of receiving incorrect items, cold food, and just wasting your money you'll love this place. That's not all, there's an extremely rude older lady that is always there starting drama with customers. Giving huffy breath over the drive through speaker, while making sly comments we all can hear. She seems to be the one in charge. I feel sorry for her peers. read more

If I could give zero stars I would. Very poor customer service. First I pulled into a slot and and waited 15 or so minutes before we were greeted only to be told rudely we're only taking orders through the drive thru. Well we got in the very long drive thru line another 15 minutes only to be sold we are no longer serving milkshakes. read more

I am incredibly disappointed by the service of this Sonic. I came in to order food for myself and not only were the wait times outrageously long, the food was barely warm. Another problem that completely ruined my experience was that they gave me the completely wrong order. I not only confirmed with the server before receiving the food but I also checked the receipts making sure I had the right order before driving off and yet the horror I had when I opened the bag to find that they had completely messed up my order left me in a state of despair. I DO NOT recommend going to this Sonic unless you have a serious gambling addiction, enjoying the risk of getting the actual food you ordered or not. read more

Incredibly rude and disrespectful service from a lady with blue braids. Would not recommend going to this location. Order was also wrong, I told her the issue and she ripped the box out of my hand. Could not believe it. I canceled my order and went to a different Sonic. read more

Listen. I love sonic but this sonic has left the most foul taste in my mouth. Every time I come here I wait about 30 minutes just to order... because it's sonic I will excuse it. But seriously guys this is getting ridiculous, I drive out of my way to come here because sonic truly does have the best pretzels in this country. I've made homemade pretzels and they don't even come close but it's getting to the point where it's not even worth it. I wait 30 mins in the drive through or 25 in the drive up. I will find there frozen pretzels and order them online because I am sick to my stomach at the service by the time my pretzel even comes. Do better. read more

if there was anything lower then a 1 its all there worst fast food worker ever waited in car for 15min then waited another 30 for food lol

Sonic has a place in the world and they have a unique niche that none of the other fast food places really inhabit. You can park your car and order without having to move. This is insanely handy for the parent with a bunch of kids or the commuter who just doesn't feel like getting out or the lazy bastard (Not me. No, really. I'm not lazy!) who doesn't want to get out of a car that is loaded with stuff just pulled from the storage unit. Pull up to a slot, figure out what you want, press the button and order. Heck, you can even pay the sign directly with your credit or debit card! After a bit, a carhop brings your food right to your window. Sometimes, they're even wearing roller skates. I mean, how cool is that! Burgers are solid and have the usual fixings. They also do hot dogs ("coneys") with an assortment of toppings. Today I went with the "Bacon and Blue" which was yummy but probably not a great idea. Lots of loose bits that kept falling out of the sandwich and into my lap. Or into the seat of the car. Especially the poppy seeds. So next time I'll have something else. But it was sure yummy! Note: This Sonic location also has covered tables and a dining room if you'd prefer to get out of your car. read more

It seems like the biggest qualifier to work her is to be as slow as humanly possible. The staff, and I'm assuming that by default also the owners, can literally handle ONE FUCKING ORDER AT A TIME! ONE!! This place sucks. read more

This location always has problems. My boyfriend & I have tried to order here on 3 random occasions and each time it was something wrong and we couldn't get food!!! One night they were short staffed (ok, we get it everyone is, so that gets a pass) Another time "systems are down" It looks like the only way to get food here is to apply and work here ‍ read more

Checked that they close at 10:30pm and rolled up to the drive thru box at 9:50pm and was told they had taken their last customer.

Terrible Service. Long wait even when not busy. I'd recommend just going somewhere else.

Literally deserves 0 stars. I've came here 5 different times (within a span of 6 months) and each time had to leave because nobody answered. They didn't answer at the drive thru and didn't answer at the pull up. I sat in the pull up and watched the three workers doing nothing. One looked at me twice and didn't do anything! The other worker I saw (female) was just sitting l. When craving sonic I have to drive 30 mins plus to another location or just wait till I'm on that side of town. I understand they need more worked but you could atleast say " sorry, there is going to be ___ wait" instead of literally nothing. read more

i would give 0 stars if i could- worst sonic i've ever been to in my life omfg first time we waited 15 mins for our order to be taken then 35 mins for our food and had to go to the window and ask for it. then went back 1 more time through the drive through and the girl was so incredibly rude. i don't ever post reviews but this warranted it- stay awayyyy read more

I'm surprised this Sonic doesn't have more stars. I've never had a bad experience here. The other night I really wanted mozzarella sticks, so I decided to go here. I went up to one of the drive up speaker. It did take a little while for someone to take my order. I also felt like the order taker rushed me. I wound up ordering mozzarella sticks, onion rings, and a corn dog. My car hop, Ayesha, was great! She was so sweet and is one of the nicest fast food workers I have ever encountered. She was great at making conversation and was very accommodating. My food was hot and fresh. However, I did ask for ranch sauce with my mozzarella sticks and got marinara instead. Not a big deal, but I should have checked the bag before leaving the parking lot. I will definitely continue to visit this Sonic location. read more

Oh we can't take any orders right now! Correction, you don't want to take any orders! All I wanted was a cherry limeade! Ehhh.. we've experienced better Sonics. If you're in Charlotte and don't mind a drive, visit the one near Mt. Holly. Service was exceptionally slow and poor. Messed up my bill over 3 times and still got one of the items wrong. Mind you, it was only 2 milkshakes (coconut cream pie master shake, oreo chocolate master shake- they did vanilla instead of chocolate) and 1 slushie. One of the doors to the inside was supposed to be open, I guess in anticipation of closing (arrived shortly after 11pm, they close at 12 am) they locked them. The blonde opened it so I could use the restroom. Inside was dark, dirty, trash overflowing and a pool of liquid on the floor in the indoor dining room. Smelled funky. Inside the restroom, toilet paper and soap was stocked. Sink worked as well as one stall, handicapped stall was out of service. Moral of the story, go to the Mt. Holly location. read more

I was so looking forward to a Peanut Butter & Banana Milkshake but alas they do not do Banana anything anymore. Looks like no one works there it just needs to be shut down. If you have an hour or two you might get food good luck!

" I'd give you a 0 but since that's not possible, I'll give you a 1." Mobile order, followed prompt upon arrival, checked in, sat 15 minutes, order never came out. Pushed call button on stall, was promptly told "drive thru orders only" and the cashier disconnected before I could respond. Went through drive through for the mobile order and was told it had been given to someone else in error, offered no refund or replacement. Said it happens and they couldn't do anything for me. I do not normally leave negative reviews, but this experience was worth my time and sharing. 10/10 would not recommend, unless you enjoy wasting your time, leaving without food you paid for and the general feeling of frustration. read more
