We stopped in yesterday after a day at the river for a Strawberry Shake. I don't know what we got exactly but ... it wasn't strawberry really and we're pretty sure it wasn't ice cream. Just tried their Double Queso Smasher, and the new Buttery Brew. Both were incredible. The burger was a 4 napkin, gooey, cheesy, deliciousness, the jalapeño chips cutting through the cheese nicely for a good contrast. The Buttery Brew was refreshing, with yellow root beer overtones. Service here is always prompt, I use the mobile app, drive for 20 minutes to get here. My food arrives within 5 minutes of my checking in, and is always fresh, always hot. read more

Two cars' ahead of me and the person taking orders made both car's wait a long time. The second car got so frustrated they drove off. I pulled up and he made me wait a few minutes. I ordered now with just one car in front of me. They do not run drinks out to car that just have a drink order if the car in front ordered food. Ordered a sonic cheese burger with taters, from a stall. Opened up the wrapper. It was a flattened soggy mess. It looked like it had been sitting for an hour with some else sitting on top of it. It was so soggy and flattened that the each bun slice was like 1/8th of an inch. It was disgusting and inedible. And got fries instead of tots. Pushed the red button and explained. I was asked what I wanted and I said I want a fresh burger. The replacement was vaguely better. 5-10% better and I threw it straight in the trash. It is so disrespectful to serve food like this. I grew up on Sonic and this location solidified why I love Sonic. Even on a busy Halloween eve. It was a Bootiful experience- . Friendly staff, hot & fresh food like it's meant to be. I ordered the #3 Super Sonic and it was cooked and prepared perfectly. . I was traveling to spend Halloween with family in OR. Unfortunately, my recent experiences with Sonic, in CA; (3 different locations; Tracy, Roseville, and Woodland) have been beyond disgusting and horrible. So we hit up the closest one & not only was the guy who took our order so rude to us, but was also sarcastic. We were kind even then. The cheese burger is ok not that great. I would go to McD. Concept is interesting. It's a restaurant without seats inside. It's a drive in setting. It's cool on summer days I guess. On a cold day, it really sucks to eat here because it means you have to eat in your car. I don't like getting the car dirty. Onion rings are ok. The soft drink..... Well I ordered ice tea and it seriously full of ice. Well it is made of real tea but I think it makes sense in a way tea with full of ice = ice tea. Not great probably won't come back. This is an awful establishment run by teenagers who don't take their job seriously. The posted hours are 8:00-8:00, however the employees close the place down whenever they want. At 6:47pm the young lady working refused to serve us because they 'closed' already. When asked what time they close she said "Uh we typically close at 6:45." Two minutes before when they're not actually closed yet..... These employees are lazy, disrespectful, and carry an unpleasant attitude. The employees refuse service at their convenience because they don't want to work until the posted closing time. The shut it down early so they can walk out the door approximately 1 second after they're off rather than serve customers until the actual posted closing time. The owners of this facility would be in shock if they knew how bad this location is. Maybe they do know but don't care enough to do something with it. The owners need to step up and take control as behavior of this nature is unacceptable in a customer facing industry. The employees should be ashamed of their performance, however the blame truly falls on their managers for not directing their team and enforcing discipline for poor decision making. This location will fail shortly if they stay upon the same disappointing track. read more

This location has no idea what customer services we ordered two drinks at 6:15 at 6:52. We were still waiting for the drinks, a coffee and a Dr Pepper they not only didn't fill our order. They charged us twice then when we finally went up to the door to find out what the hell was going on They tell us they don't have coffee on top of that while we were sitting there they shut the lights off on us, and we had placed a mobile order thinking it would be the fastest way to get a couple drinks before we headed down the road they are manager Cheryl is nothing but a bitch I did call their corporate office spoke to them I did get my refund. This is literally the worst fast food I have ever eaten in my life. I used to love sonic as a kid on road trips and was so excited to try it for the first time in a decade. Pulled up to the restaurant which had 0 stalls open as workers were lazing around the outside, paid for a $5 blast that had cookie dough that looked like raccoon pellets, a $3 breakfast burrito that tasted like the plastic spoon I used for my blast, and a $6 chicken sandwich that my high school cafeteria wouldn't even sell. Drive in Hamburger and Shake Joint? Yes I admit we came here because of the novelty of the experience. Needless to say, we drove up to the "park and order", looked through their extensive menu of fast foods and placed an order. The whole experience at Sonic was super. We wanted to test out the customization aspect and ordered one hamburger, requesting for cheese on 1/2 only and to cut the burger down the middle such that the cheese is only on one side. I had no idea fast food locations could do such customization, but my boyfriend revealed that during his service for Burger King, customers would make some wild customization orders that fast food places were happy to accommodate. Sonic executed all requests perfectly. In less than 5 mins our order arrived at our window by a really pleasant fellow. Quality of food? Growing up in Northern California, you see those Sonic Drive-In ads on TV. There are no Sonics in the Bay Area. I was convinced that Sonic was a made up joint- that the commercial was commissioned by the Republican National Committee with an embedded subliminal message. We were pleased to find a real Sonic- this one in Central Point, Ore., just off of Interstate 5 between Grants Pass and Medford. It was our first Sonic experience, and it was goooood. The drive-ins are just that, drive-ins, just like back in the day. You order at your car window, pay via credit card at the window, and the staff roller-skates the food over to your car. It's not really fair to say all Sonic's are bad, but this one was absolutely miserable. We came through during a long road trip to grab a quick bite for our 4 kids and ourselves. We weren't expecting fine dining, we've been to Sonic before. We just wanted some cheap and enjoyable junk food for the road. The woman who took our order was very short with us and unapologetic about the fact that there were no juice boxes for the kids meals. When I asked what else was available she said white milk, that's it. Ok whatever. I ordered a chicken tender dinner for myself. She repeated back "chicken tender dinner" then tried to give me the total, but I stopped her so I could order my drink. She replied in a frustrated voice, "so you wanted a chicken tender dinner MEAL?" as though the word "dinner" did not already imply (as per the wording on the menu) that this was a combo meal. Very rude. We jumped back on the road and when I looked at my meal there were only 2 tenders in it, and apparently the meal only comes with a single, shriveled up onion ring. None of our meals had ketchup or any saucez whatsoever. No one asked if we wanted any sauce at any point. I hoped that the chicken tender dinner would at least come with house sauce because it specifically said on the menu that it came with it, but nope. I called from the car to speak with the manager and she replied that today was a busy day, sorry. So I paid full price for a bunch of bland dry, incomplete meals. And of course my drink was filled more than half way with densely compacted ice so I got about a teaspoon of cherry limeade to wash this all down with. My expectations were already so low, Sonic. I have a deep appreciation for food service and how hard it can be, and greasy fast food has a wonderful place in this world. I'm very forgiving and have never left a bad review for a restaurant before. But this service was absolutely abysmal and ruined my day, so there you go. read more

Ok where do I start with this place..... Their food to be honest is hit and miss seemingly dependent on the way the planets are aligned. Sometimes the food is great sometimes and sometimes really, really bad. The service at this one is better then the one in Medford which I will never be going to again but that is another story for another review.
