Me n mom wanted to try the grilled cheese burger. The TV made it look massive. So we intended to share. Tack on some cheesy tots and chedr peppers we should be good to go. Awkwardly there was a debate about what I wanted v. What the computer listed for them at POS. For example: I ordered "this" they said that. I said no, I want "this" , they said that. I ordered cheesy tots- they repeated cheesy FF. Had to correct. ‍‍ in the end my order was correct. But it is a challenge. Looks like some much need renovations are getting done. I've been to this Sonic a handful of times over the past month or so and I noticed that every single visit is such an easy and quick experience. The carhops are always so friendly. I ordered a number 1 cheeseburger with mayo, no pickles, add bacon, tots, large Coke Zero. The burger was actually really good. As far as fast food burgers in SOBO, Sonic is pretty reliable. Not messy or greasy at all. And no one comes close to the drinks. A couple of the stalls have broken credit cards wipers, which can be annoying. Keep this place alive!!! read more

This place is truly the worst. No matter, no matter what time it's the slowest. This morning I ordered ahead, which is supposed to cut down on time. I got there checked in after check in took them 16 minutes to get a drink and pretzel to me. I called in the sad excuse was we are short handed, not our issue-they made me late for work, had I not paid for the food on the app I'd have left like at least 3 other people did. I mean shur the app down, I know a lot that do that at least people would l ow to go elsewhere. It's always same thing! Maybe time shut it down if they are this short handed then when I did get it the pretzels was so hard and burned I could not eat it! The drink was watered down! I will contact corporate! read more

I have to say this Sonic is always consistent, fast and brings me fresh hot food every time I come here during lunch time. Very different to the disappointment of the Sonic located right across from the base! I went once and never went back because the food was old. Tonight was a busy night for this sonic, everyone headed over after a concert. The staff was slammed with car after car but did an amazing job getting customers taking care of. Big shout out to Omar for hustling to other cars as well as our and being so polite! We did not catch the name but there was a younger kid who had a fake baby in a carrier strapped to him still doing his job 100%. That's why the two reviewers in 2013 gave you only One Star each! lol Well, time flies and things change...I have been to this Sonic several times this year. The service was prompt and the staff members were good. Even though I don't really like their food, it's not their fault since people have different tastes. :") I am not a fan, but believe me they are not that bad. :"D I do love their Sonic Blasts and Floats. :") P.S. BOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!! BOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!! This place buh-LOWS when it comes to customer service! Buh-LOWS! Seriously! Worse than having rude service, to me, is having NO service! Like, you are completely invisible. You are transparent. You do not exist. You...are the Hollow Man. Oooooooooh. Man, this place sucks! I am so fired up, because this is my one cheat day that I give myself. I am on the anti-inflammatory diet by Dr. Andrew Weil, and it is awesome and it is really working, but I give myself one day a week to cheat, so I don't go off the rails, and also just to slowly wean myself from bad eating habits...So, the one thing I have been dying to try was a pretzel dog from Sonic...I saw the commercial, it worked its' magic on me, I wanted it, I held my on to my craving all the way to today, and I'm like today is the day! Yes, today is the day...and I happen to be over in the purgatory of Shreve City (helping my mother-in-law put a bed together, man, I'm a great son-in-law!) and I instantly think, okay, I'm going to go hit up the Sonic on Kings Hwy (my go-to Sonic) but then as I start steering down E. Washington Street, I'm like, hold up, I'm actually closer to the Sonic on Barksdale (It's newer and I always forget that it's there), so I swing the Mazda around and point it over the Shreveport-Barksdale Bridge) I'm starving. My craving is crawling all over me, I hang a hard left into the Sonic on Barksdale's parking lot, and there's hardly anybody there and NO ONE, no wait at all, to get to the speaker box in the drive thru, as a matter of fact, there's no cars anywhere on the other side of the building, or in the drive thru. I cackle and high-five my craving and wait to be acknowledge by the voice in the box...nothing....pure silence....quiet....a minute goes by....then two.... I speak out of my driver's side window, "Hello?..." Nothing. Still silent...another minute drifts by, I call out yet again, "Hello?" Nothing. Silence. Three or four minutes have gone by. It's 1:15 on a Saturday afternoon. Is the speaker box broken?...Shoot, are they open? Are they closed for some reason? There are no cars even behind me, or in the drive through. I drive up to the window, and I see workers inside the restaurant, but nobody at the window....I wait....I am looking at the workers on the inside. It looks like they're having a conversation?...I sit and wait...No acknowledgement...Nothing. At least another minute has passed that I have waited in vain and will never get back. I am burning gas and daylight. My craving elbows me, and says, "Let's go. Don't worry about it. Maybe it's a sign of some sort?" I don't know if I pulled up in the middle of a robbery, or if this place just has the WORST customer service ever, but I guess I will have to watch the news to find out...and I will have to do so, sans pretzel dog...and there better not be any of those dang Sonic commercials on during the newscast, either! read more

After two previous poor experiences, I went tonight to do a good deed and participate in a fund raiser for a little boy with kidney cancer. Alas, my experience again was poor. My first bad experience occurred when my bf brought home shakes. They had some kind of plastic threading that was white and blended in with the ice cream. I noticed the threads and showed him that he had them in his as well. I brought them back and they replaced them....so we gave them another chance, which led to stomach issues for several days. Tonight they had a fundraiser and I wanted to help out. I knew they would be busy, so I did not mind the wait. But when I got my cherry limeade it tasted like someone literally urinated in it. I don't know if they need to clean their equipment or what but it was so disgusting I almost threw up. So yeah...I am done with this Sonic. read more
