The menu was incredible with so many different variations of flavors in Snowballs and Tilamook Ice-cream Let me just say, if you have never had Tilamook Ice-Cream, you are missing out on some great flavors!!! The first day I went I had a Mudslide with a plain waffle cone. The second day bringing Pepops back, I had rocky road with a chocolate waffle cone. I must say, those waffle cones are THE very best cones I've ever had!! Soft, flaky and the chocolate was amazing!! This ice cream was out of this world!! Service was phenomenal. We went straight to the back of the shop to watch the production kitchen where the gentleman was actually starting a process (what we learned later) of brittle making. Intrigued, and so satisfying to watch. They have free samples peanut brittle and pecan brittle. We both agree that this is some of the best. It's not the "bust you tooth" brittle (meant your candy got too hot), it's the airy, nice crunch, full of flavor, not too sweet, hint of burnt butter brittle. Yes, yes! They nailed it. It's the brittle you start to eat, and boom the package is done. Of course we had to get brittle, and white chocolate covered nuts, too. They sell a variety of sliced pies, milkshakes and cold drinks. I bet this is the place I will be in the summer, especially for ice cream. Their storefront has not been open long, but Grandma Cleda's been making brittle for generations. You can find out more about their story when you visit their shop. Our server was a very sweet local high school student. My wife and I both had the rocky road, which was excellent. I also had some pistachio. Earlier this summer we got to spend 7 days in Italy. We had gelato several times. I learned that high-quality pistachio ice cream isn't the bright lime green color we're used to in the U.S. If you'll notice, raw pistachios are a very pale green color / almost tan. A passionate Italian ice cream maker taught us to watch out for the lime-green pistachio ice cream.....it's loaded with lots of artificial dyes. I'm happy to report that the pistachio ice cream today was a tannish, pale green. Way to go Hibbitt's!!!
