Passing through San Luis we ran into Teddy at the visitor Center and asked him where we should eat. He sent us to Sonia. She runs the convenience store on 7th and also provide some limited lunch options which included 3 x Taco Dorados for $6.50. Filled with chicken and tomato and lightly fried they were delicious and enough to split between the two of us. The store has all you need including fresh meat. Sonia also makes Pizzas and the boxes were piled high. Her home made Salsa at $10 will knock you sideways, delicious, I can never buy mass produced again. It was fantastic on the Tacos. Sonia herself was a delight and was genuinely pleased as were the other customers eating that we were from Florida via the UK and had taken the time to support something this local. There are a few seats inside and outside for dining. Small business working it's community magic when you need it. read more
