We had a tire blow while we were on our way home and were scrambling to find somewhere that could help us. They were the ONLY tire place we could find open on Labor Day, and every single person there worked their butt off to get us taken care of and back on the road. They were kind, helpful, hardworking, and genuinely seemed to care that we were stranded away from home. They even let us bring our giant dog into the waiting area while they worked on our vehicle, which meant more to us than they probably realized. This entire team deserves recognition -- and honestly, they deserve a raise. They turned what could have been an awful ending to our trip into such a positive experience. I hope management makes sure they hear how much their work mattered to us. Words really cannot express how grateful we are. Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU to the entire tire team for working on a holiday and getting us safely back on our way home. You guys were amazing!

Here it is the 21st and you would think they would call us to tell us the tires haven't made it yet and we apologize. We Hell no, we had to call and talk to their AI about 6 times to get her to understand that we just need to talk to a real person. Never happened. I guess we travel 45 miles and go back to the store. I've been here before, and the customer service has been good each go-round. The store is fairly organized and clean. I noticed some great deals on their Kroger branded items. They eased the inflation-induced budget a little. Not much, but a little. At night I noticed the lighting in the parking lot was okay. Could be brighter, but overall it seems to be a safe area. I like grocery shopping here far more than other places in Alamosa. Bring your own bags or gripe about being charged for plastic. Your choice.

For a Tuesday lunch, I bought the deli "Chester's Chicken chicken wing meal." Potatoes wedges and…read morebroccoli salad were chosen as sides. Those wings were worse than low-quality cafeteria offering. They felt inadequately cooked and like yesterday's leftover. But the most telling consequence? I was forced to use the bathroom twice (night and morning) to rid myself of the foul food.

Service was excellent and all our directions were followed well. We like our bread extra toasted and it came out perfect. I had the ham and cheddar on rye. The hubs had the ham and Swiss on sourdough. Both were delicious. All the toppings we requested blended beautifully together. Very tasty. The only suggestion is that they offer regular sub-hoagie bread. The only options are Ciabatta rolls, sliced sourdough or sliced Rye. Lots of drink options and tasty chip choices. Loved the "All Mixed Up" chips. If you're driving through Del Norte, this is a must stop for a great sandwich and healthy options foods.

Since moving to the San Luis Valley, Sam's Club is not accessible to me anymore (unless I drive 2-1/2 hours to Pueblo), so I looked into Valley Meat. The price of their beef short ribs is actually comparable, if not less expensive. I've also bought pork belly, and they cut them to however I want them. Meats that are not available at Walmart, City Market or Safeway, I buy them at the Valley Meat Market. Recently, I bought ox tail there. I have two large German Shepherd dogs. I buy quartered raw femur bones regularly at Valley Meat with prices that do not break the bank. My dogs love them!!! I have to mention that the folks at the meat market are also very nice and friendly. As soon as you walk in, someone will immediately help you. If you do not like to wait, give them a call and place your order. Just let them know when you want to pick up, they'll have your order ready for you. Try them...they have excellent fresh meat!!!

Not bizarrely expensive. Here's a few items we bought: - Butter pecan ice cream tub $4.59 - Russet potatoes (3-lbs) $1.99 - Bbq sauce $1.59 The lady who checked us out was friendly and funny. Large, "seedless" watermelons were on sale $4.98 each. They and the rest of the produce looked decent. I was able to slake my thirst that warm afternoon with some good bottles sweet tea out of Amarillo, TX, called Panhandle Pure ($1.09). Western Union is available here. There used to be a lady who would sell her homemade tamales here out of her car. I sure wish she would come back!
