One of the best views on the island. Son Tomas sits over the terraced hillsides of Banyalbufar where the famous Malvasia grapes are grown. They serve two local wine varieties, both of which bottle just 4,000 examples per vintage. Banyalbufar wine is supposedly so good that it prompted Jaime I to invade the island over a thousand years ago. We agree with his judgement, the wine is quite delicious, though invasion seems a bit over the top. The service was perfect and our Paella Mixta went well with the slightly sweet but dry wine. Such a gem in Banyalbufar! Walk up to the second floor and enjoy breath-taking views of the sunset while enjoying a drink from their local wine list. We had the Rosado from Alba Flor which was so good. For starters, we ordered the cod carpaccio which was delicious and unique. My cod and shrimp entree was the best meal I'd had in Mallorca. My friends lechon looked tasty as well. The service was excellent and I guess being from the states it's always such treat to get free, delicious bread before the meal. Highly recommend this place for dinner if you are in this wonderful town. read more
