We also ordered a filet mignon since we were sharing between three people. It was perfectly cooked to medium and the demi glacé was perfect. Sharing the price fixe for 2 and ordering an additional entree was plenty for us and we got to try a variety of things. There is no kids menu but Jonathan, our server was nice enough to let us know which dudes or entrees the kitchen could customize to make kid-friendly. My daughter ordered the mac and cheese side and it was plenty for a kids entree. Overall, I think Beauty & Essex is fun for a special occasion dinner, even for a family dining either tween/teenage children.
