Wonderful, wonderful experience at Something Blue! Let me just say, This was my first stop of four bridal wedding shops- and I cancelled the rest of my appointments after I left here! First, scheduling my appointment was very easy and they were accessible. When you first walk in, the location is beautiful! It's spacious, with lots of styles! They seat you at this cozy private section with your own couches in your area. You get to look at the dresses and pick some you like to try on. I love that they also give you a sheet to fill out with all of your information. I knew the general idea of what I wanted (Style, With Straps, Color) and Connie was the absolute BEST! She listened to what I really wanted, and all of the dresses she pulled for me that she thought I'd like, we're all so beautiful it was hard to choose just one. Connie made me feel so comfortable in my own skin and provided me with lots of helpful tips, comments and feedback of the dresses! I was so thankful she was helping me. I think I tried on close to 10 dresses and they were all so beautiful. One thing I can say is you can immediately notice the high quality of these dresses. They are heavy and filled with detail-they are not cheap material. After trying on all the nominees, Connie has you try your top 3 or top 2 to see how you feel in them. She has you walk around and try on veils to get the full experience. The thing I love the most is that they are not pushy or rushing. Connie took her time with me and really cared about getting me in the dress that I loved. You can tell they are about customer service and not making the sale. I really appreciated that. They also accommodated by giving us juice instead of champagne to toast to me finding the dress and it was wonderful! I am so thankful for this amazing experience. She was so fun, made me feel comfortable, made us all laugh and above all, gave honest feedback when I asked questions. She made us all feel like we've been friends for years. Flower girl, bridesmaids and mother of the bride dresses are one of a kind gorgeous. The prices are moderately priced and you will get a couture gown that will leave enough for shoes. Something blue actually saved our lives because we went to a place in Webster Texas first called "impression bridal", that they ended up holding our paid for dress hostage two months before the wedding because gave them a bad yelp review because as they had overcharged us for the alterations on the dress didn't fit even though they ordered it twice. On a alleged brand new ordered dress full of snags? Something blue saved the wedding day and At the last minute something blue and they're great staff helped us find the most exquisite dress that the fit the bride was just perfect for her, the dress turned out to be the address of her dreams. The gown at something blue was a far superior gown. It was couture and a named gown... the first dress she purchased from the first shop was a named designer but not couture. The dress at "something blue" and the experience was like we went from bridal hell to bridal heaven. Skip the big city prices take a nice little country drive to Angleton Texas and go to "something blue" and you will find the perfect gown fit for a princess, for your event or that special day. Their alterations person was amazing and a designer he created a one-of-a-kind bussel that was to die for... gorgeous. And they even send your gown out for preservation at a discounted price. Alyssa was my consultant and she was beyond amazing. I told her I was all over the place and had no idea what I wanted. Alyssa listened to exactly what I thought I wanted and then pulled some she thought would look good on me. To my surprise I had picked. Instead, Alyssa blew me away with one of her choices. Alyssa never pressured me to make a decision. She told me to go home and if I dreamt about the dress I knew it was the one. Well that night I dreamed about my dress. If you are looking for great service and a cute shop, this is the place for you! I found a few Stella York dresses online that I desperately wanted to try on. It was early July and my wedding is in October. Many of the dress stores I called said it would be impossible to get the dress in time OR that I would have to pay a large fee to get to dress rushed! I was brokenhearted...my dream dress was not going to be obtainable, but then I called Something BLUE! This place is absolutely amazing! The shop itself is a small town gem. It is family owned with absolutely wonderful service. I felt like my likes and dislikes were understood and listened to throughout the appointment. Sandie knew exactly what veil to put with each dress and helped me accessorize! Overall, I could not have asked for a better process. PLUS - their dresses are SO MUCH LESS than places in town! The dress I purchased was $1000 less than the first shop I called in Houston! $1000 is a HUGE difference!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I ended up going in and buying my dress, veil, and a flower crown (something Sandie pulled that I HAD to have) the first day I tried on. And I ended up picking the dream dress I called about. Yey! To add to the excitement, my Mom found the perfect dress in the same trip, which made things very easy on her. I can not recommend Something BLUE enough. 3 generations of a family working together to create the perfect environment and experience and the 3rd generation - I think she was two - models their flower girl dresses! We made our appointment and Justine greeted us with a welcoming smile and positive attitude. I drove an hour from Galveston for my 14 year old daughter to try on a Bridesmaid dress (that closer shops didn't carry) for an out of state wedding. The shop is beautiful and clean and even though we were not going to purchase the dress from Something Blue, the bridal stylist Justine Taddeo was extremely friendly and helpful! Something Blue was the first place I went to try on wedding dresses. I went during an Allure trunk show and the first Allure gown I tried on was perfect. However, I was in love with a gown I saw in a magazine and could not settle on a dress before trying it on. I searched multiple bridal shops in Houston, tried on many dresses.I must say I went through some very sketchy and some very fancy places, but none of them had the great service and cozy feeling I had at Something Blue. Anyway,after multiple bad experiences, I finally found a place called Ventura's Bridal, also a pretty sketchy place in my opinion, and they had both the magazine dress and the first Allure dress I tried on at Something Blue and loved. The magazine dress just wasn't it, and the people from Ventura's offered me to make an even lower price than the trunk show price that Something Blue had offered me on the Allure dress. I decided to go with costumer service instead of price and went back to Something Blue. They honored the trunk show price even though the event was already over, gave me this cute "congratulations on choosing a dress" kit which I thought was super sweet, sent me a "thank you" card for choosing their bridal shop and I couldn't be happier with my decision. My friend and I took our daughters prom dress shopping all over Houston because they wanted to see it all, but once again we ended up buying at Something Blue. After listening to what the girls wanted, the staff pulled some dresses from the back that hadn't yet been tagged and they were perfect! Love that they now carry Sherri Hill. Their Sherri Hill selection is better than Muzzies. Also have had great experiences getting my son's tuxes here. read more
