Good menu with an interesting selection of meat and fish dishes, good standard pub dishes in addition to these, sausage and mash, fish and chips etc at £8.00 (2010), with the more restaurant style main courses at £12- £15 (2010), great deserts at £4.95 and an excellent cheese selection for £6.95. They provide a lovely board of fresh baked white and brown bread with butter and dipping olive oil free of charge. I realised when I arrived home that we had been incorrectly charged, we had been charged for a 'discretionary' service charge which is applied to tables of 6 or more and we were only 3 in number. When I realised the pubs 'mistake' I telephoned and made them aware of my concern, the person that I spoke with promised to look into the matter and get back to me. I left my email address for them to contact me ( as requested ) but despite emailing the pub since have heard nothing. I feel that the service now being offered is frankly appalling and would not recommend this establishment to anyone looking for a nice relaxing evening where your business would be appreciated!

She ended up dipping her pizza in a mayo/garlic sauce that she simply said "I am hooked." Needless to say, we will be back. By the way, the ambiance is great. The indoor dining has a farm like feel to it and the outdoor pizza garden is sunny and cheery.
