Fitness instructors from local gyms in the area run classes here. I tried one out this past Saturday (8:30 - 9:30 am) and it was great. The November classes are being taught by instructors from Real Body Boot Camp in Clifton, NJ. I took the Barre Fusion class with Bernie and it was a great workout. Make sure you bring your own mat with you since the floor is pretty hard (and slippery to boot). Glad I brought my barre socks with me. The Athleta staff put out bottled water and some snacks for us which was much appreciated. I'm heading back there this Sunday for some free Yogalates. I'm looking forward to seeing the December schedule once it's posted. Athleta is located right next to Gap (sister store) in the place previously occupied by Gap Body. Gap Body moved into the main Gap store. The store has an awesome decor! There's lots of wooden beams and exposed bricks. Very industrial loft looking, but with a super homey feel to it. I love the "bar" that makes up their registers. It's wooden, and has these really cool metal wheels. They really hit a home run with the decor. The clothing looks really nice, but it's definitely on the pricier side. I'll probably check it out once it goes on sale, because most of it was a little too expensive for my taste.

She let my sister try on a couple more and the last one had everything she wanted in a dress, which brought on waterworks by everyone. After leaving the store I realized I was overcharged for a bra. Went back to have it corrected and I got the same cashier with the 'tude. I've seen mannequins with more personality... She explained the bra was marked incorrectly but would speak to the Manager to see what she would do. They gave me the bra for the sale price but didn't take the additional 40% off. The signs all over the store say everything is 40% off. Everything. She even had the nerve to take back my $25 reward dollars because my purchases were no longer all on one receipt even though the total for all my purchases came to $50 and the return and re-purchase was THEIR mistake. Asked if she could either attach all the receipts or just re-ring everything and she said no. By then I was too annoyed to argue with her or go back to the friendly and helpful manager. I've since been back and haven't seen her so I hope they either let her go or sent her to a customer service class...

The manager made my mom feel embarrassed and treated her as if she had done something wrong, when she was simply trying to help her granddaughter and prevent her from throwing up on their floor. The condescending "have a nice day" from the employees afterward was the icing on the cake. This is NOT how customers should be treated, and we will not be shopping here again.
