So after extensive rehab recovering from the Augusta Coach store closing, I decided to visit the…read moreColumbia store. Now, I was completely traumatized over my favorite store closing but the Columbiana Coach store starting courting me as soon as my store closed. I received emails and a phone call. I'm convinced my name is flagged in the system and they knew to pull out all the stops for me ;). Anyway, I purchased a bag on the online site and wasn't happy with it and decided to take the hour trip for an exchange instead of paying to send this very large bag back with insurance. They were having a 25-30% off sale for purchases and there was no better time to pick up something new. I went in specifically for that new Swagger bag in green but of course it was sold out. I knew I wanted that bag and to my surprise the color I wanted and the color that is sold out online was sitting there glowing above Mister's head. It was the only one left. Johanna was very knowledgeable and helpful with my purchase. It felt like old times; Mister sitting in his designated spot (any chair available) and me with the Coach glow waiting for checkout (yes, we have a routine). Johanna even knew my favorite associates (Lorna, Erin and LaToya) from the Augusta store. The store is beautifully designed and I love the brown bags and gift boxes. Coach has stepped their game up the past few seasons (along with the prices) and I think the brand is going in a positive direction. It's no wonder my first purchase of the season would be called swagger. The collections I've seen so far have plenty of swag. Poor Mister. I'm sure he thought his wallet was safe after the Augusta store closed, was probably sitting there thinking about the C notes that are going back into Coach store circulation.

Very rude staff. When I walked in and asked about a new style of shoes that were on display, the…read moreassociate responded with, "well that's their logo." In a very rude and condescending manner. After explaining my question again, she still responded in a condescending manner. People like that should not be working in retail, where customer service is the number one priority, and I would hate to have someone like her in my store. I have worked in store management for 5 years and would never want someone with that attitude on my team.

I came in to look at some golf equipment, but their selection was quite limited. If you're looking for "outdoors" merchandise like hunting gear, fishing gear, coolers, guns & ammunition, etc. this is a great store. If you're looking for specific gear for a particular sport like basketball, baseball, football, or golf, I'd probably pick another option like Play It Again or Dick's.

You could improve by re-training your employee "Stevie" that was working today 5.11.24 at 3:00…read more She absolutely was not helpful at ALL when she messed up my husbands return. She gave him a gift card for shirts he bought 3 days ago using his debit card and he had the receipt. She never asked my husband if he wanted a gift card, which he didn't. So another employee had to make multiple phone calls to get the situation figured out. She was helpful and really nice, her name was maybe Velma or something along those lines. Not once did "Stevie" apologize for causing us to be in store waiting for a resolution for at least 20 minutes. She was also whispering about us to another employee at the register. Super unprofessional, uncomfortable and a crap experience! We will not be back to this store because of this employee and the way we were treated.

Update 8/17: The owner of the store reached out with her personal cell phone number. We talked at…read morelength about the incident today and she was sincerely apologetic. I declined any special treatment, as that is not what I'm looking for or intended to receive with my review. I increased the 1 star to a 5 star based on the quick response and the concern about my experience. After speaking with her, I will give this place another chance. Original review: I've never felt so unwelcomed while shopping for clothes. I walked in WANTING to spend a few hundred dollars because I needed a cute last minute outfit for a bbq. One girl said, "hello" and literally she was the only one. A lady employee crouched on the ground to find something for another customer next to me, blocking me from moving forward and didn't say anything. Nothing. No apology, no offer to help, nothing. It was an awkward silence while I waited for her to finish. The girl who said hello, asked to start a dressing room for me, but never came back to me to tell me where the room was. I figured it out by the dress hanging on the door. I needed another size in a dress I was interested in, but no offered to help. Not while i was in the room, and not even when I got out of the room. I figured I would just get it myself. They had maybe two other customers in the store at this time. As I was walking towards the rack to look for the correct size, I saw an employee about 2 feet from the rack I was walking towards. She looked at me with no smile and walked away. Didn't say anything at all. While shopping around, they offered another customer drinks, but didn't even acknowledge me. I wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt, but that was absurd. I spent about 20 minutes in that store and walked all the way around and had items in my hands to buy, but I left them. I don't like saying that people are discriminative, but I am hoping that my race didn't have anything to do with this situation. This was my first and last time in that store. It's unfortunate because we live right down the street. Also, unfortunate for them because I'm about to meet 40 army wives or service women who all just moved to the area at bbq.
