"GB Shoes Warehouse" is a regional footwear outlet in South Carolina, North Carolina, and Georgia. This store is similar to the national D*W that many of us shoe lovers frequently patronize. I had a pair of pink, suede Merrell snow boots I purchased back in November 2005. For ten (10) plus years, these little gals surely performed the job excellently. They took me through Wisconsin winter, Pennsylvania blizzard, and are still standing strong in my closet. I found another pair of cold-weather boots by Sorel for $115 (orig. $230). I didn't think that looking for snow boots would be difficult because of the lack of demand for a warm climate. The cashier told me to put them on the next day since the weather in SC will be in the 40s. Well, that won't be necessary. They expanded their sales floor and now men's and women's apparel is also featured. "GB Shoes Warehouse" has their own loyalty program, the GB preferred card. My in-laws told me that they are cardholders and receive coupons consistently. Select brands would receive a significant discount ($20-$30 off). I would be willing to sign for a reward card if I were to live locally.

As for me I found a nice pair of Fila mid high sneakers at a clearance price I just could not pass! Normally they were $79.00(which some in the other section were still showing this price on the other rack) for just $25.00. But with me signing up for the membership for free and they had more discount that day, my Fila came to only $18.00 including tax! I had on my big Kool Aid smile as we left the store but my buddy passed up on some great deals(why Stanley??).As a habit now I always stop by here to see what on sale/clearance. The staff were friendly, and they were doing a spin the wheel gimmick for Christmas trivia. That made the shopping environment fun. I always find the prices at Shoe Carnival to be reasonable, and I especially love the BOG One 1/2 off. I wish Shoe Carnival would stick to what they do best, which is sell shoes, and lose the accessories. Doing so would give this location a little more room for some shoes selections they didn't have and I was looking for.

There is a large room in back where I collect my race gear, there are framed track jerseys of all the high school names in the Columbia area. Your race day bib can be redeemed at store for $10 off shoes. On the last Monday of each month Strictly Running has a free pizza party with beer, nonalcoholic, and free giveaways from rotating sponsors, it was Saucony last. Upon entrance, the staff was very helpful in potentially pointing me in the right direction. I told them what I was looking for and they immediately searched through their database to see if they could show off some pieces. As I looked through some of their clothes, they came to me with some of the pieces that matched what I was in search of. Unfortunately, they weren't really a match but I kept shopping anyway. I ended finding a couple shirts that I really liked. I was able to try the clothes on to see if the fit was good. I decided to go ahead and purchase two shirts. I was all in about $50 for two shirts, but the prices can range heavily based on which themes of clothing, especially winter clothing. When checking out, the owner was very kind in talking with me. He even gave me some other shop recommendations more local to me up in Charlotte. They sent me on my way with a solid tote bag and some stickers. The personal touch is always so refreshing to see in a world where some much shopping is done online.
