Here's the revised version:…read more The owner contacted me and offered a free event, which I declined, requesting a refund instead. She then offered a 20% refund and asked me to change my review, which I again declined. She claimed that despite paying for full event planning services, the event was subpar because I hadn't been involved in planning it. They didn't call. They didn't ask me to go their warehouse. They didn't do anything until the week of the event, when they tried to fit me into their random available times to walk them through my space via FaceTime. To clarify, I paid $2,000 for someone to plan and orchestrate an event. What I received was maybe a $200-$300 setup, and it's apparently my fault for not planning the event I paid someone to plan. She argued that I should have requested changes during the setup. However, I wasn't home at the time. The whole point of hiring this service was to arrive at a fully set-up event with my guests. When I arrived, they were still setting up as my guests were arriving (even though they were supposed to have been gone by then). So, there wasn't time to make changes, and it would have been an awkward conversation anyway. Instead of blaming me, they should have done the job they were paid to do or not sold the package in the first place. To add insult to injury, she compared this situation to eating a pizza and then requesting a refund. This was over $2k. It's not even close to ordering a pizza and asking for a refund. She ripped me off. I stand by my request for a full refund. She should have offered that refund on her own. This event was pitiful. I will never use their services again or recommend them to anyone.

Some of my favorite parts about BRICK were the late event time, no noise ordinance, flexible decor options, flexible vendor options, ample parking and more. The only vendor BRICK requires you to use, is their bar team, which is perfect because they were AMAZING. They were friendly, attentive, fast, and fun to have at the event. We supplied our own alcohol and they did the rest! During the planning stage of the event, BRICK was extremely responsive and helped us with every tiny detail. We worked closely with Hannah, Sabrina, and Victoria. I would absolutely choose BRICK again!

Right away Kirin was extremely collaborative, answering our questions about the venue and big picture items. About two months before our wedding, our lead planner Katey got involved and you could immediately tell how much of an expert she was helping us coordinate communications between vendors and giving us recommendations on layouts and day-of timelines. The actual day we could not have imagined anything better from the team. Katey kept the day flowing and was so proactive in coordinating all our vendors and friends that had important roles for the wedding. Throughout the day she was constantly keeping things moving while maintaining such a positive and fun attitude that big or small thing she needed us to do felt so exciting to us. There were so many things going on that day, it was so great to be able to trust Katey to know when and where we had to be. I asked a friend who is a chef and she said she used to work for Wild Thyme, I spoke to Sophie in the office and she quickly suggested a lunch menu of salads and sandwiches with cake and macarons for dessert. I asked to make changes and it was not a problem. She coordinated delivery of tables, chairs, and umbrellas on Friday. The catering team of Sasha and Sam arrived at 10:30 Sunday for 1 pm start. They used the garage as a staging area, Then they put out the tablecloths and paused so I could add the wreath centerpiece then put in the umbrellas. The buffet tables for, lunch, beverage station, and dessert were lined up and decorated along the side of the yard. They wrapped black tablecloths around our trash and recycling cans and bused the tables. We had coolers with beer and sodas but judging by the leftovers we could have gotten by with their tea and lemonade. This was like having a restaurant in the backyard. It is expensive but top quality and eliminates a lot of worry. I would do it again.
