I would highly recommend Dr. Soliguen's office if you're looking for a pediatrician for your child. My daughter is almost a year old now and has been coming to this office since birth. Each time, Dr. Soliguen is attentive and helpful. He takes the time to really listen to you and your concern. I've always been able to get an appointment quickly, and he's been so supportive in regards to breastfeeding. The staff is so friendly with my baby girl as well. It been a BLESSING to have Dr. Soliguen as our pediatrician for both our boys. We've been with him for 10years now and my husband and I ALWAYS recommend him to all our family and speak highly of him and his clinic. The amount of PROFESSIONALISM AND CARE he has for our children has been unmatched. He listens to every concern and addresses it. Most importantly he makes sure our boys are SAFE with his care. We had never had an issue with the staff for the 10years we've been here. But today I have to take note that Vanessa the front desk had a HORRIBLE ATTITUDE ! We came in for a follow up since my first born was admitted at the hospital for an anaphylactic reaction. We needed a form filled out since he'll be going back to school and needs his EPI pen on hand since we are still unsure of what triggers it. I had mentioned this when I made an appointment last week. Today I come in I greeted the front desk with a smile (Vanessa) she was rude off the bat. I have never seen her there before. So I gave it a benefit of the doubt. I said we had an appointment and needed the medication form filled out for both my son's EPI pen and inhaler which are BOTH EMERGENCY medications. She then says that they can't fill out the form because my son needs a physical(mind you the TONE of voice was so rude) I asked if I can have it done today since we're here already and that's what the whole appointment was for. She said no I then got upset since school will start and my son can't be without an EPI PEN nor his INHALER given the severity of his condition. Without saying anything she just looks at the back where one of the girls that we know for a while now and asked if she can do the physical and Andrea said okay. Vanessa then just looked at me and says "you can sit down we'll call you in shortly" without any type of customer service given the fact she initially said it couldn't be done. We finally get called in Andrea did what she had to do and we saw Dr soliguen. Everything was as usual. Even Dr. soliguen said we really need that form filled out for my son without any hesitation. I then go out and Vanessa is still at the front. She gives me the forms without saying a word and I tried to brush it off. Andrea then gives me the form to fill out with a smile as usual for the physical I finished it up and I give it back to Vanessa and I said "thank you" and she just AGAIN looked at me and grabbed the form without saying A WORD. This type of ATTITUDE is unacceptable. Vanessa is both UNPROFESSIONAL and RUDE. I still gave a 5star review because I don't want to have a negative impact on all the care Dr. Soliguen has done. But I do hope this type of behavior from a staff member is addressed. read more

I had to switch my babies pediatrician do to stressful visits when I had my baby boy. Because his previous pediatrician said baby boy was dropping weight. When NICU Dr said he would because I wanted to transition to breastfeeding. Anyways I found Dr. Soliguen through a family member and I can say Dr Soliguen gave me so much peace of mind. And encouraged Breastfeeding I've been going to him for 2 years and I can say we made a great decision to switch plus he is only 5 mins away from where I live. Best pediatrician ever! My son has been seeing him since he was born (my son is now almost 16yrs old) and I'm very happy that Dr. Soliguen has always gone above and beyond my sons care! His staff has also always been very courteous and always answer the phone, they are also great in returning phone calls and every time I've needed a referral to another doctor the staff is always on top of it and always follow up with me. I really like Dr. Soliguen but I've had a less than pleasant experience with secretaries that work there as far as how they manage appointments. There was a time they wrote the wrong appointment time on my appointment card so I missed my daughters appointment. They have also been neglecting to make appointment confirmation calls. My husband and I have taken our sons here since birth! My younger sons are 10 & 7, the oldest son got tired of going to the kid dr. Anyways Dr. Soliguen is caring and kind. I elected to have Doctor Soliguen as our families pediatrician after meeting him in the hospital. He himself is a nice and informative Doctor. After coming here for over four years I am fed up. The wait times are tremendous, last time I checked this was not a free clinic. Also the office staff lacks personality and any kind of"customer service". They are almost just flat out rude. The straw on the camels back. my baby had a lump on her head this Doctor said don't worry about it, I went to see three other doctors and they all said we needed to operate. Our primary care physician needed to write the recommendation and I I wanted to go to a specialist for pediatrics surgery and this office staff wouldn't give it. I needed a new pediatrician after an insurance change and asked a bunch of mom's on a FB forum for recommendations. Several mom's told me that Dr. Soliguen was a very good doctor (even one of my good friend's goes to him and she really likes him) so I went ahead and made an appointment. My youngest child has been having constipation/pooping issues for several months now and I've tried a lot to get her regular again. I was really hoping that Dr. Soliguen would be able to provide more help for the issue but alas, he didn't really help at all. First of all, it took over an hour to see him from our appointment time but I can't really fault anyone for that, given that the office was able to get me in pretty fast. I didn't have any problems with the office staff and I've found that if you are REALLY nice to medical personnel, they respond to that and will treat you the same. I always joke a bit with any sort of office staff and am polite to a fault and that always works. The office was clean and had Disney movies playing so my daughter was more at ease and that helped. Dr. Soliguen seemed nice enough but honestly, I wasn't impressed with his ability to help my child with her pooping issues at all- I also had a hard time understanding him because of his heavy accent. He was in the room for a total of 5 minutes and felt my child's tummy a bit and then just told me to give her milk of magnesia. I got a bill the other day from the office and that visit cost $565! Seriously?? Granted, our insurance covered 80% of the cost but to charge that much for a measly 5 minutes of your time is highway robbery! I am going to move on and try to find another pediatrician who will actually help my child as opposed to passing it off as "something she'll outgrow". read more

Clearly all about making money. Took my 9 month old for in for a check up and because I asked a question about a spot on her leg they billed me and said it was outside of the check up. It was considered a diagnosis. All he said was it's hyperpigmentation that's common in kids. Didn't do any tests and that's considered a billable diagnosis. And to add to that he made this "diagnosis" without asking additional questions. I have an autoimmune disorder that affects my pigment and he wouldn't even take that into consideration. Will definitely be disputing the charges and bringing a complaint to the medical board. read more

Awesome Doctor! Easy to get a hold of and the ladies in the front are great! Doctor Soliguen has followed my daughter since we went into post delivery at the hospital. Every medical decision he has made for my daughter was on point. One thing I love about Dr. Soliguen is that he is quick to return calls if you have a question (During normal business hours). Being first time parents my fiance is always worried about our daughter. Having Dr. Soliguen as our daughters Primary Care Physician was a good decision we made when we were figuring out who to choose as her Pediatrician. One key point about this Dr. is that he is very thorough in regards to questions my fiance may have for him. If you are on the fence of choosing a pediatrician make him your child's pediatrician, as a nurse I work with a lot of doctors and I have been asked by other doctors who my daughters pediatrician is. I cannot express how happy I am to have Dr. Soliguen as my daughters' pediatrician. Both of my girls have conditions that require visits to specialists. The office staff is great with getting all of our referrals processed in a timely manner. I love the office staff. They are great in getting all the paperwork handled and scheduling us to be seen. Dr. Soliguen himself is very friendly with my children. They feel very comfortable with him. He listens to any concerns I may have and addresses them. He has always had my children's best interests in mind when making medical recommendations. He recognizes my children when they go in for an appointment. It makes them feel good that he actually remembers them even though he sees a lot of patients every day. The office staff can always get my kids in for sick visit appointments on the same day if I call right at opening. Everyone that works in this office is wonderful. Each time I need a sick child check up I got a chance to see him. He may not be the fancy doctor but he is good. I can understand the concern about the staff. I do notice some attitude from the front office which I'm unsure why? While it's a bit unfair to hurt the review for this doctor because of his staff, but if others are receiving bad attitude then surely I can understand. The staff should be friendly you know. I love this office and staff. They always make sure you get seen if your child is sick. Sometimes you do have to wait a little longer then normal but honestly it's worth the wait because I know he takes his time with you and your child whether it's a well visit or sick visit. The staff is amazing they are always kind and respectable. I'm so glad I found him I was so scared trusting a pediatrician with my newborn but now with my second one on the way I have no worries or anxiety about the Dr. Soliguien. I was appalled by the pretentious attitude of this doctor. He is so incredibly condescending. He is more concerned with money than your child (at least mine, anyway). He orders tests and procedures, and hospital stays that are completely unnecessary in order to line his already fat wallet. It's so nice to be able to get second and third opinions from HONEST doctors. He is completely sexist. Every time he would ask me a question, he would ignore my answer, roll his eyes, look at my husband, and re-ask him the exact same question. My husband would tell him to look at me because I am the one who knows, and he would move on to other questions, only to eventually dismiss us. 6 years ago, I would've given Dr. Soliguen's office 5 stars. When my son was born, I called for a last minute appointment because I found reddish fluid in his stool. The office was more than accommodating and saw my son right away. What impressed me more was that Dr. Soliguen called my home personally the next day to follow-up on his condition. I've continued to see Dr. Soliguen for all 3 of my kids since then. However, starting early last year, his staff has become more abrupt and unfriendly and their service more than lacking. Dr. Soliguen is still as nice and informative and an excellent physician. And his original staff member AnnaMarie is also helpful. But the rest of his staff has made me think about taking my kids to see a different pediatrician. I'm not a high maintenance patient. I only take my kids for their annual physical and when they get ill once or twice a year. So I didn't think it was asking too much to have my baby's antibiotic called into the pharmacy to save me time and to save my baby any further discomfort. The girl there flat out refused to do it even after I practically begged and asked twice and my little baby was crying so much. No compassion at all. What kind of medical service is this?! When we interviewed pediatricians Dr Soliguen was top of our list. He interviewed well and seemed very knowledgeable. After our daughter was born things seemed to not be as good. His staff seemed cold, he seemed very rushed and I felt he had no time for my questions. Im a first time mom and all this is new to me. I just want someone to spend time giving me the information I need. Lucky I found a pediatrician that I feel does that. I had to switch pediatricians for my daughter and was recommended Dr Soliguen. He is very nice person, good with the kids. Very friendly with my daughter overall. I just wish the doctor's assistants were more friendly like him. Although sometimes I get really frustrated when I have taken my daughter to a check up if she is sick and he doesn't prescribe any medicines or anything. Doctor has seen my kids since birth nice experience until last few years. If my kids go in for a sports physical or any visit. Doctor is very adamant on my kids needing a booster. Pretty much for everything and very obvious he gets something $$$ for every booster administered to patients. My kids are up to date on vaccines don't want my kids to have more and new vaccines.As a their mom that is our choice. My daughter has had a bad reaction to vaccines and we are not sure which one exactly since 2 were given at the same time after doctor convinced me she needs 2 at once. he downplays her bad reaction and says it will be fine. I always leave the office upset about arguing and signing a waiver on refusal of extra un necessary vaccines. Not a pleasant experience especially after telling my sons if they do not get the HPV vaccine then they will get testicular cancer. Not professional. THE WORST Service ever! From the front office to the back office. My children had been seen as an insurance number and not a patient. Diane Perez (the very unprofessional "Office Manager") was withholding my children immunization records. I had told the office my children start school and asked for the the immunization record. Diane stated I needed to file a document to obtain these records and it would be a 30 day hold to be considered a request. The front office has the most unbearable attitude. As if they are doing you a favor for the most miniscule of things. Such as an update on appointment times, records, and or questions. They overcharge, so, please pay attention to every fee they give. They will charge you for breathing in their office if need it be. I NOW understand why my friends warned me about this office. My son went to Max Soliguen's office for 4 yrs thinking, I'd give them a chance. Everyone has a bad day, but it just seems like it is part of their establishment to provide horrible service. Remember you are dealing with children and not a number! You are number to them not a patient!! Do yourselves a favor SAVE your time, money and children for an office that is actually humane. Came in today for my first visit. The office staff seemed nice enough. I signed a bunch of paperwork and waited about an hour total before I saw the doctor. Although I think that's a bit long for a scheduled appointment, I'm hoping it's because it was my first visit and they had to get all the paperwork in order and review my son's vaccination record. When I finally did see the doctor he was very personable and kind. He sat and talked with me first and then looked over my son. Since it was just a well-baby visit it was pretty quick but I didn't feel rushed. He advised us to get the flu shot booster that my son needed. The nurse came in a minute later with the shot and did it so quickly that by the time my son reacted & cried he was already in my arms calming down. I appreciate the quickness of the nurse. She seemed to have it down! So far so good! My only complaint would be that the girl at the front seemed to think that they weren't a "preferred" provider for my insurance even though I called my insurance ahead of time to be sure they were in my network as a preferred provider. She said she would look into it. I'm previously from Kaiser where we didn't have to worry about that stuff so maybe that's normal to have insurance confusion? Overall, good visit! read more

Extreme wait times yet when your ten minutes late they turn u away, no understanding that it's hard to get kids out of school and make it over there right on time. Most offices give you ten minutes. I got turned away. Yet when I make it there on time they make me wait forever. Very unfair, very frustrating. Office staff are rude. I will let everyone know how they treat people. My dentist my doctor, they never treat me the way this office has treated me. I hope the doctor reads his reviews and realizes what his office staff are doing. read more

Dr. Max is nice and professional. He's good with our boys and seems to have a pretty thorough understanding of medicine. He's a little challenging to understand because he does have an accent, but if you pay attention it's ok. We usually schedule Thursday appointments and typically have very little wait time. We've only been here once for a sick visit, but I was able to get a same day appointment no problem. We have had to call their after hours line a few times. To my surprise Dr. Max has always answered the phone and was able to help. I do HIGHLY appreciate the sick and well separate waiting rooms. All that said, the reason for the 3 rating is the office staff. The office staff leaves a lot to be desired. They haven't been rude, but they just seem a little abrupt and act as if your presence is bothersome to them. Also, their waiting rooms are not always the cleanest. Not thrilled, but definitely acceptable. read more
