This is an update from the negligence of installation from Barrier South on my home. When we sell,…read moreI will have to reveal that my house was subjected to this negligence and most likely according to my lawyer, take a significantly lesser amount for the sale, along with even being able to sell the home. PLEASE BE CAREFUL with this company. The repairs I must do will amount to around $85,000.00 out of my pocket. The owner writes like he is such a nice guy offering to go and fix the issues. WOULD YOU HIRE SOMEONE WHO DID THIS KIND OF DAMAGE on your house? Everyone knows if you do not do something correctly in teh first place, it is much more expensive to fix. He "sounds" like a nice guy, touting a veteran owned business. Well, my husband was a veteran and he screwed us and we are senior citizens. And about the EXCREMENT in the toilet Sure, everyone has emergencies, but couldn't he have gotten water from the local convenience store and flushed the toilet? This guy would not work with me and said, "Contact y lawyer." I had to get a lawyer to contact his lawyer. We have been back and forth for a year now and my house sit there with moisture and mold collecting. Also, I have had a hell of a time trying to find someone to come in and remove and re-spray. Imagine the time i have spent on this project and the stress. I will be happy to allow anyone to tour the damage. The owner of the spray foam already has. BEWARE OF THIS COMPANY. Unless you have THOUSANDS to redo his work. Anyone who treats a veteran and a senior citizen like this is a skunk! My lawyer fees are now $8,000.

I am over the moon for Over the Top Concrete. Sorry, this post will be long, but some history is…read moreimportant. For over a year and a half we have been trying to get someone in here to repair: 1) an area of cracked and sinking concrete next to our pool; and 2) a bad patch job around the pool skimmer done when they repaired a leak (but charged a ridiculously small amount, so I had no room to complain). We talked to GCs who would only work if the job was $20K+. We talked to pool companies who were afraid of the screen enclosure (that we offered to remove). We talked to countless concrete companies that were either afraid of the pool or the enclosure. As I told my husband once, you would think we are trying to reinvent the wheel. We CANNOT in the history of screened in pools be the first to have concrete crack. THAT'S WHAT CONCRETE DOES! Seriously - trying to get someone to fix this had me in tears at times, and I have had some of my closest friends ask me if I've had my tear ducts removed because they never saw me cry. Last ditch effort on Friday I did a search and two company names popped up. I called both. Over the Top Concrete was one. Shawn Houston with Over the Top Concrete returned my call the same day (not the same month - as others). He was out the next day to look at the job. By Monday I had a price. By Wednesday he started the job. A typical concrete (patio) slab is 4 inches. When he started to remove the concrete there were areas that were over 10" thick, and that wasn't the footer for the enclosure. He left once to get a better tool to help him and I feared he wouldn't come back (based on the 1.5 years of companies that went so far as to give a price and never showed up to do the work). Nope. Not Shawn. This gentleman never gave up! He told me, "My word is my bond." He does not lie. I am here typing this on Friday evening, form boards removed. It looks GREAT. I am now almost in tears . . . OF JOY!
