Please read the review in total to understand what occurred. Upon initial contact Solid Fencing appeared to be a reputable company. Mike was quick to come to the property to provide me a survey and an estimate of work. After paying the deposit I didn't hear from them for months. Randomly their workers showed up to drop off supplies when I was not home which was not possible on that particular day. Another few months went by and then I received a random text message from a random phone number stating that they would be arriving that morning to install the fence. Once again lack of communication seems to be a prominent component of this company. I called and stated I would not be available that day but I would gladly have them come out the following week. I wanted to ensure my neighbor was yet again aware that workers would be on both properties for the day. The workers arrived and then quickly started complaining that the hedge line was not cut back which I was not informed I was responsible for or I would have done it. Once again lack of communication from Solid Fencing seems to be a factor here. When the work was complete I was not home so I inspected the quality of work after arriving back home. If you look at the photos included the installation team destroyed a number of palm trees and vegetation. They paid little regard for cleaning up their mess and it took hours to haul away the brush that was created by the installation. The installation team left trash, cut rope & broken wood along with the brush. Once again had it been communicated to me that the hedgeline needed to be cleaned up I would have gladly completed this task prior to but lack of communication seems to be an underlying practice with Solid Fencing. Lastly, after thoroughly inspecting the work I found that the setting cement was still soft & wet yet the entire fence line was installed on the posts. Now the oddest component of this whole experience was that upon requesting final payment, I assume the installation team forgot to request payment, they asked that I email them a copy of the back and front of a check because I wished to pay via check. With today's digital age I don't trust sending account numbers via email. I would encourage solid fencing to rethink their strategy on collecting final payment In order to protect the bank account information of their customers. After going through this experience I cannot recommend Solid Fencing. Their lack of consideration to the owner's property, the lack of cleaning up the mess the installation team created & lack of communication were the main concerns. Perhaps you'll have a better experience then I did but proceed with caution. read more

I came across Jeffery as we were both leaving Home Depot. I called the number on the side of his truck and he answered. I asked him to give me an estimate to fence my yard with board on board privacy fence. He said he would be by later that day. Being a Sunday I was really not expecting much however later that afternoon he called me with a 30 minute eta. He came out and gave me an estimate on the spot. It was complete and the price was fair. I had 3 previous estimates but was not impressed by any of them so I decided to move forward with Jeffery. I was given a start date which was a week out. During the week I was contacted by him to confirm our start date. When the day came, they arrived promptly at 8 am and for the next two days they worked without stoping. His crew is hardworking, polite and low maintenance. After they completed the job, Jeffery asked me to inspect the work and asked if there was anything missing from our agreement? I've been in Florida for most 40 years and have dealt with plenty contractors. Some good some bad. Jeffery and his team are great! I highly recommend them to anyone looking for a professional hardworking fence company. It is very refreshing to see a young man with such good manners. read more

We recently bought a house in the Fort Lauderdale area and, having 2 dogs, we needed to have the yards fenced. After contacting a few fence companies that never showed up for their scheduled appointments for estimates, I reached Jeffrey at Solid Fencing, and he was able to come out the next day, in order to give us an estimate. When he showed up, Jeffrey was very professional and very organized; he did not come across as "haphazard" as some of the other contractors we have met. After getting the estimate, we agreed to move forward. Once Jeffrey and his crew got started, everything went very well. The team was very professional, and their handiwork was very...solid. After letting Jeffrey know that I was a bit of control freak about schedule management, he kept me religiously informed about the work progression and made sure I was happy with what the team was doing. We had a few areas of uneven ground, and he even put some extra cross-boards in to help ensure that the dogs would not get out. And they did a great job on the gates as well. So, all in all, we are very happy with the work that Solid Fencing did and would recommend them for other jobs with fencing needs. And my dogs like the enclosed yard. read more

After having 5 other companies came to my home and try to over charge me. I found this company and called them because of the reviews. Jefferey answered the phone quickly and scheduled an appt for the next day. The next day came, Jefferey happened to be 30 min early which was great for me because i had to work later that day. I was nervous at first, but he carried all of his licenses, and taught me alot of things while measuring the lot. Don't let his age fool you, this young man is responsible, prompt, honest, and smart. Jeff knew all of my city's rules, and came up with a plan to get the permits. It only took a day for the fence to go up, his crew is also amazing. The city came the next day and my fence passed inspection because they installed it to code. Alot of people are out here taking advantage of people and woman. It was truly refreshing to see that people with integrity and compassion still exist. Solid fencing is amazing. Thank you so much for bringing my dreams to reality.
