Every single coach is so knowledgeable and friendly. I was a bit intimidated at first since I didn't have an ounce of martial arts experience before I came in, but the entire staff are so welcoming. It's truly a family there and they will know you by your first name on your second visit. Even the other members of the gym who have been there for years are so kind and willing to help you out on basics. If you are even considering taking a class, do it, you will fall in love! They also hold fight nights every once and a while which are a must go! This gym has such great energy I can't recommend it enough.

I found Jax Muay Thai through IG and decided to follow them and even scheduled three personal training sessions and classes to attend while in town. First impression: Jayme ( the first person I met at front desk ) was super nice and welcoming . She was willing to help me with paper work and even Introduced me to few trainers and even offered to train with me and asked if I wanted to attend her classes which I did!! Thank you The facility was big, clean and organized . They have everything you need from weights, kicking bags, stretching area, ring and a big space to train with groups . Personal trainer: I was assigned to Coach John. Amazing trainer !!!! Very informative, knowledgeable, patient and will really show you techniques. I've had few training sessions with other trainers in LA and most of them just tell me what to do, unlike Coach John, he was very detailed and really watches your every move from footwork to striking. I was really impressed by that ! He was worth every dollar spent! I can't even say anything bad about this place bec this is probably my favorite gym I've ever trained in. Thank you so much!!! Best gym ever !!!

An all around well structured set up to learn mixed martial arts but jiu jitsu is their main area of focus. The instructors there are helpful and knowledgeable and the black belt students will help you learn as well. It has a good environment of getting everyone to learn and progress in their skills. Students from this academy also compete at MMA competitions and jiu jitsu tournaments as well. They also do separate classes for white/blue belts versus the other higher ups so students that are just beginning can learn the basics without getting overwhelmed. In addition, there are separate classes for kids and adults. Recommend this academy for people who want to get started in their jiu jitsu journey.

We heard about them through word of mouth from others we trust here in California. Knowing what all goes into executive protection details we were amazed, to say the least. Their advance planning, route coordination, venue assessments, and low-profile protective presence allowed our talent to stay focused on filming and meeting fans without disruption. They blended in naturally, communicated exceptionally well with our management team/talent, and adapted quickly to last-minute schedule changes (which occurred quite often). They are very professional, discreet, and highly capable. We'll absolutely use them again for future travel and production work. We highly recommend them for any of your protection needs!

My wife and I really like that she has to earn her ranks and not just be given a participation trophy/belt after so many weeks. I can't say enough good things in one review about Jukido Academy!…read moreI want to start off by saying that Sensei George Rego is FANTASTIC at what he does. He is so patient, kind, respectful & understanding. The dojo is set up very nicely, is so clean, and there is soft padding on the floor that keeps the students safe while being instructed. All of the students are very engaged, focused and determined. One of the many things that won me over in deciding to have my oldest son become a part of the Jukido Academy family was the fact that the older students are so very helpful during lessons with the younger students. Every student I have met has been kind, respectful & welcoming to my son & our family. All the students are expected to help each other during the practicing of Sensei's instructions. Sensei George & his other instructors are fun, energetic and 100% engaged at all times. The children's program meets twice a week and my son wishes it was every night because he loves it so much. The Jukido Academy has already given my son so much! He is more confident, self-sufficient, well behaved, respectful, patient and shows so much more pride in the work that he does during homeschool lessons, too! I love the core values that are the driving force here at this Dojo. They don't simply give out a new belt to a student simply because of attendance, so no "participation trophy". A progression in belt color may only be achieved through hard work and mastering of the skill-set for which that belt requires. I also love the one week free trial that they offer in order to ensure that the Dojo is a good fit for the student and their family. The monthly rate is 100% affordable and the Dojo is completely transparent regarding pricing, schedules and what is expected from the student and family. As a homeschooling, budget-minded mom of three, I don't like surprises, especially when it comes to $$. To be honest, the principles and values that my son has and will learn are priceless! Sensei George and the Jukido Academy have an open door policy and are very receptive to questions and concerns. I didn't really know what Jujitsu entailed and what exactly my son would be learning, so Sensei sent me videos and then took the time to explain further regarding what I would expect. I couldn't ask for a better instructor for my child & myself! I can tell that he is absolutely dedicated to the teachings of Jujitsu and I loved learning about this form of self defense. My son, Michael, is a unique child and is special needs. The fact that he has been made to feel welcome, proud of himself, and is flourishing at the Jukido Academy makes me so happy I could cry. So, in closing, if you are looking for a welcoming environment for your child(ren) to learn respect, self defense, discipline, honor, integrity, service before self, friendship, restraint, strength, humility and kindness, Jukido Academy is exactly what you've been looking for! Take advantage of the free week trial. I can promise that you won't be disappointed!
