I have been a patient of Dr. Brian Wallace's for several years following a torn ACL repair. I…read morerecently made an appointment due to shoulder pain and decreased strength in the gym. Dr. Wallace ordered an MRI which is conveniently located in the Joint Replacement Institute practice. His staff worked with my insurance when they first denied coverage even though it was the last few days of the year and my family had more than met the deductible. The MRI was covered and revealed a 50% torn rotator cuff and Dr. Wallace suggested PRP (Plasma Rich Platelets). Blood is drawn from the patient and spun to produce PRP which contains a mixture of platelets, including cytokines and growth factors, and has anti-inflammatory properties which injected into an injury site can stimulate the healing process. I have truly been more than pleased with the results. I no longer have shoulder pain including when I lay on my side and I am working my way back up to push-ups and heavier weights in the gym. As a surgeon, Dr. Wallace looks for non-surgical remedies when they are an option. Dr. Wallace also has incredible bedside manner that make me know I have been heard and takes his time to ensure that the patient understands all pain relieving options. I was under the impression that Dr Herron was a top hand surgeon but I am really disappointed as he did not prepare me for the after surgery experience and have not seen him since the day of the surgery. Instead I have met with his PA, Sarah Donnelly who has been very nice and basically has told me that depending on the severity, nerve damage can take up to a year to improve. Amy will greet you at the door when you walk in and is always welcoming and warm. Dr. Cumberbatch is the best. He takes time with me each week and more if needed, and never rushes me. Was I so wrong in going there, as I was told I did not need an antibiotic for a clearly infected part of my mouth!! I was in a LOT OF PAIN, & did NOT want pain medication, ONLY an antibiotic, which she refused to give me!! I don't think she was even a REAL "dentist" maybe just a dental assistant. And left, without any medication being sent in. So, I went to my primary cares Dr. Team, who could clearly see I needed an antibiotic, & sent a prescription & another med in for me. Well, now 48 hrs later & my mouth feels SOOO MUCH BETTER! PLEASE do yourself a favor & don't go to the dental part of this practice. I was made to suffer for days, because of her refusal to give me an antibiotic!! Please go somewhere else, or like me you'll be very sorry!! I WISH my insurance hadn't sent me there!! My mother, who has been living in an assisted living apartment at Terracina Grand for the past 6…read moreyears moved to The Gardens at Terracina Health and Rehabilitation after she had a stroke. We spent a long time looking for the right place for her and were happy to have found this one. My Mom is 91 years old and has had frequent hospitalizations in the past 10 years and we are so grateful for the care and patience with which she has been treated for this extended period of time. She has several physical therapists and occupational therapists in both the Gardens as well as her apartment at Terracina Grand and they always work with her to build up her strength and get back to a normal way of life. She has been in a wheelchair ever since her stroke but there are always enough CNAs and Nurses who monitor her medication and get her to and from the bathroom, as well as work with her when she has problems swallowing. The food is very good particularly at the Gardens and even though it sometimes must be softened so that she can easily eat it, she is usually able to rehabilitate herself with the help of the wonderful people who attend her there. We couldn't be happier than to have a place such as The Gardens for Mom to recuperate in until she is strong enough to go back to a more independent lifestyle which is available at Terracina Grand.
