Among the very best. Deserving of the 5-star rating. Following my extensive lower back surgery, I have been dealing with a very slow period of physical therapy-supported recovery caused by apparently unrepairable nerve damage suffered pre-surgery which has prevented my right leg from being able to fully support my body weight and with the right ankle and foot rotating outward (drop foot). Following extensive X-rays, CT scans and an MRI scan, the options presented to me were (i) surgery or (ii) be permanently fitted with a lower leg-ankle brace. It was my very good fortune that both my podiatry and ankle/foot orthopedic specialists recommended that I speak with Mr. Steven M. Goldstein, certified orthotist, at Sole Dimensions. Mr. Goldstein took an immediate and sincere interest with my plight and was commendably helpful. He explained that one of the tendons which supported my ankle and its range of motion was not functioning (due to the nerve damage that persists in my lower back). He suggested that, instead of being fitted with the brace, I might wish to try a less intrusive method to correct the imbalance caused by the defective ankle tendon: a custom fabricated orthosis insert for my choice of comfortably supportive orthopaedic footwear. Eight days ago, Mr. Goldstein fitted the custom made inserts (which he made for both my feet) to my new supportive footwear and which I am now wearing as I type this Review. I feel great!! Thank you Steven Goldstein for caring and for being a first-class orthotist. read more
