My husband and I dropped in for a pedi. I did not realize it was appointment only. They seated us and we soaked while we waited. The tech was gentle and the pedi was nicely done. It has lasted well and there were lots of options on color. I had no nicks or concerns about the service. The wait was a bit long, but we did not have appointments so that was on me. Went in with my daughter and partner. One of us got a pedicure and the other two were nails. They dug into the toe nails until it was bleeding and as far as the nails go. They were done horribly wrong and I couldn't even let her finish it was so bad. They don't listen when you explain how you want them done and overall it was a horrible experience and we won't be going back read more

Painted completely wrong and even when my daughter showed him pictures of what my she wanted. Horrible customer service! The guy kept arguing that he was right even when she said it was not what she wanted. Even after she showed him all the pictures of what she wanted. He kept arguing and arguing that he was right and she was wrong. We asked "What about customer service and the customer is right?" He said she was wrong and he did it correct. Absolutely the WORST service ever and hopefully VIP nails will bankrupt them because that's where we are now getting them painted correctly! read more

My daughter and I have been coming to the Solar Nail salon for 15 years now. We are always greeted by the owner and the staff promptly when we enter and are given prompt attention with our nails. I generally get only a manicure while my daughter gets a full set and are always pleased with the professionalism with witch they work. We have enjoyed all of the services that are offered from nails to pedicures to eyebrow wax. We have always been very happy with the service and as the years have gone by, no matter if we go long periods of time between visits, are always remembered fondly and to my surprise they remember what each of us like. First visit was great. Went there 3 other times, sat for 20 minutes waiting to get manicure and pedicure. They get you in the water and leave you sitting for 20+ minutes while they work on other clients. Last time we were there over 2 hrs only got pedi. They forgot the mani. Wont go back. So I've visited both Solar Nails and Solar nails II and both do a crappy job... my simple gel nail manicures chip before a wells time. If I could give this place a big fat ZERO stars, I would. It's NOT the staff, it's the owner! Rude! Can't speak well enough English to explain why he wanted to charge me $60 for the matte nails I wanted. I have never paid $60 in my life. He kept telling me it was because of the powder they use. I let the sweet girl finish my pedicure and tipped her well, but went to another place for my nails and there's no powder for a matte finish. I feel like the guy was completely trying to rip me off. His worker said it had to do with the shape I wanted bc it's harder for them to do. I come from using Nice nails in Wylie, Tx and if you don't like it you don't pay them (which you never had to worry about bc every person you got there did amazing they very consistent amongst their people) to this place in Cleburne. These people really don't know what they're doing. My gel manicure was not done properly and the coating cracked and peeled horribly. I went back and someone reapplied the UV gel twice and it did the same thing. They don't cap the ends or seal the sides. I expected better for $30-40 cost. The manicure tables are covered in powdery dust and the whole place seems unsanitary. I definitely won't be returning. Just know there are better salons in town. read more
