This restaurant is a little gem in Newcastle, slightly hidden behind St Nicholas Cathedral and in the shadow of Black Gate Tower, Solano's shows itself right in the middle of the two most popular scenic attractions of Newcastle and holds the secret of the finest Peruvian cuisine right here in the North East.
Solano's is the only Peruvian restaurant outside London which can be highly commended as London's strongest competition now as Peruvians all over the North East and many from London are now regulars at Solano's, its amazing how things have changed in the short time they have been in the city ... 1 year this month, and achieved 109 on trip adviser with four and a half credits .. amazing .. a lot of credit is given to the well organised and knowledgeable staff that is there now and obviously the head chef Alfonso who is a true and genuine native Peruvian who cooks and presents his food as a fine piece of art.
Once visited you are instantly hooked with the blend and texture of the food, the unique flavours and delicate spices that allow you to savour for the rest of the evening.
Solano's almost certainly will be the most popular restaurant in the North, and truthfully I don't think its far away now. read more
