I do think that I have to retract my "I hate Italian food" statement- but ordinarily, I do, but I have rubbish Italian food- but here certainly wasn't rubbish.
Came here as part of the Birthday celebrations for one of my favourites.
Lovely setting, love the hanging lights, and much better than the upwards ones made from the same fronds- they just don't hang that way guys!!
Our waiter was lovely, and understanding that I had to run early (no pudding for me, boo hoo!).
I think we pretty much all went for lunch menu, which was good value.
On our table was chicken wings, garlic bread, four cheese aranchini, calamari fritti, tempura king prawns, and the bruschetta.
The bruschetta was enormous and herby, the chicken wings sticky, and plenty of them. One starter, the garlic bread, came slightly later than everyone else's, so a glass of prosecco was slid onto the table in way of apology- no excuses, just fizz!
Mine was the aranchini, perfectly cooked, and tasty.
For main I had the crispy duck- which despite the lack of green veg (I just love vegetables...) was lovely, and to be honest, even though some sticky roast carrots wouldn't have gone amiss taste wise, it would have mucked up the lovely presentation, and the skin was perfect.
Plenty of big table for sharing with friends, I would happily go again, and be more leisurely with my eating! read more
