I moved into Solana in March 2025 and was so excited to live here, but that excitement disappeared on day one when I found roaches in my apartment. Management assured me they would spray and "handle it," but our apartment remained infested for the first four months we lived there. In the end, I was the one who got the infestation under control. It was an absolute nightmare roaches crawled on us while we slept, and management acted like it wasn't a big deal or that it was somehow normal. That wasn't our only issue. Our old, tiny washer flooded our apartment three separate times before management finally replaced it. It shouldn't take three floods to get a broken appliance replaced. The quality of the maintenance is also very poor. Instead of cleaning the baseboards before painting, they simply painted over dirt and even clumps of the previous tenant's hair. The flooring is extremely cheap and started peeling within months, and the countertops did the same within six months. We also rented a garage that had a large hole in the wall that looked like someone had punched it. The walls were filthy, and no one bothered to repair or clean them before we moved in. The entire property seems to have a roach problem. Walk outside your front door or onto your patio at night, and you'll likely see them. I've lived in several other apartment communities in Temecula, and none of them were anywhere near this dirty or poorly maintained. The leasing office makes a great first impression because it's clean and looks nice, but unfortunately, that doesn't reflect the condition of the property itself. The process of moving in to this spot was so stress free & also staff was quick & very great at communication throughout. I got emails & calls following up with in minutes whenever info was sent for move in to keep me updated.. This was very much due to the staff, especially YAMILETT who went above & beyond. If you see this ask for her when arriving. YAMILETT will give you 5 STAR SERVICE THE WHOLE WAY THROUGH! The apartments themselves are better than the photos, though they are noticeable good before hand. The two bedrooms are great. Is quiet & also people living here are nice. Was talked to by two neighbors in our building the same day of moving in & was very welcoming. So if you are thinking of Temecula as a spot you're moving to, give this place a look & see if prices fit you as the price of the two bed was lower then what I saw online before walking in. read more

Husband and I lived here for 5 years! FIVE YEARS and were great tenants. We recently moved due to not being able to afford the new lease. I was very communicative with the leasing office and asked all the moving out questions. We had no pets, and lived very quietly and even did our pre-move maintenance check and was informed that everything looked good but some things needed changing due to us simply living there for 5 years. Even when we moved in the vinyl on the kitchen cabinets were already bubbled and the bathroom sinks were chipping. This was all documented and passed onto management when we moved in, their response is that they were aware and we won't be held against it! I also got a call that painting would be free due to us living there 5 years. We had no pets and we are a no shoes inside household, carpets were great when we moved had some parts that needed re-tucking. Before we moved out I deep cleaned our house and how is it that when I got my final statement that we owe the apartment money?! We don't get any of our deposit back -- I called and spoke to someone and asked for evidence that I agreed and signed on their "said" terms and they emailed me but no attachments included. I emailed back to ask for the attachments, no response. I called 7 times plus a ring to their manager office and no response or pick up! It's giving sketchy practice. I use to highly recommend Solana but I can't say that now with good conscience! If you're a tenant now, I deeply recommend recording all conversation and emails! Ask all the questions. I feel genuinely violated after being agreeable tenants for SO long! This is not it -- poor practice on your part! Ps. Very unprofessional when it comes to moving out. I will eventually go in dept with the issues once I hear back. Moved out almost a month ago and called for an update on our deposit that was $1k and the person I spoke to stated that we wouldn't receive anything back. I get keeping a certain amount the whole amount is insane considering what the maintenance guy had mentioned what I should pay. Which on inspection day very unprofessional. I had to drive around to find the maintenance guy and turns out he was never told about it just like that never told him about the pre-inspection which of course I had to call to let them know what was going on. The next day the maintenance guy told me he was never communicated about the pre-inspection. They should really work on communication with each other. I have requested on the receipts about the repairs. Hope to hear back soon. But, since the very beginning when I turned in our 30 day notice they have been a mess, so ridiculous. Best believe I will bug them until my issue is resolved. Update: I decided to not waste my time and not fight them over it. Once I received the invoices most of the stuff that I was charged for made no sense. When I signed the paper with the maintenance person he let me know what I would get charged for but so many things on the invoices made no sense. Example: There were charges on water and sewer from Oct. and I moved out in December.Just thankful i'm in the position that I don't need the money. Overall made my husband's and I moving out experience extremely stressful due to poor communication. They should really work on that maybe have a meeting on how to communicate better with tenants and most importantly within each other. read more

Don't rent here, they always have a mold problem and they take forever to fix your problem when you need maintenance. They also keep your deposit all of it and they let you know you owe more. Office people don't help at all they just want you to figure it out. You call the office and you have to literally call 5x for them to answer you. 37 year old male, single father who just relocated from Boston, Massachusetts, to California weeks prior. Hands down the worst living experience I have ever had. As I suspected in hindsight, Solana Ridge was built in 1999. So all else aside, you as a renter, are walking into an incredibly dated premises, that was built 26 years ago, and you are subsequently being charged based on the "market" value, and "inflation". This amounts to you paying the same price for what I am going to outline below, as you could pay, for a brand new property in the same area. When pulling into Solana Ridge apartments at 41754 Margarita Road, you are met with a drab water fountain at the center which aligns with the theme of this entire premises. I moved into this complex in August 2024, and lived here for 3 months. I had 13 work orders in those 3 months. I paid thousands of dollars to to escape this place, 6 days after Christmas. Almost every single appliance broke in 3 months. Both neighbors above me smoked cigarettes at this "non smoking premises". Cock roaches started coming through the bedroom vents a month before I left. (see Images). The amenities are not cared for. The pool area, the gym, the playground; all of these amenities are simply too old and too dated to have actual value, and you are paying a PREMIUM, for all of this. I have screenshots and emails of the exchanges and 13 work orders. Solana ridge did not resolve the cockroaches, or neighbors smoking, or the noise complaints. I communicated everything and SOLANA RIDGE, and the retaliatory nature that Solana Ridge allowed to occur, left me me no choice but to pay to get myself and my 4 year old out of this situation. Solana Ridge allowed for a situation that made my life, and the life of my 4 year old, uncomfortable, unsafe, and unsanitary. I was blessed to move my son and I out of this nightmare, and we live in a brand new facility now where we are paying a price commensurate with the facility. Solana Ridge kept our deposit and wants $200 dollars extra, in addition to the thousands I paid to escape my lease days after Christmas. 1. My son and I left here in wet clothes, on more than one occasion before our dryer broke. 2. I had to throw out food because my freezer was intermittently working 3. My dishwasher washed dishes sometimes. The dishwasher flooded my kitchen on several occasions. I reported this broken washer several times to Solana Ridge, and they simply stopped responding to my input. 4. I was gone for 2 weeks, and because maintenance was performing work next door, power was shut off to the entire kitchen facing side of my unit. I came home to an apartment that was uninhabitable. I had to drag an enormous rotten refrigerator out of my apartment, after driving 7 hours home and getting home at 6AM. (hurt my back doing so). I had to drag this disgusting rotten refrigerator through my apartment past my son's toys, and my belongings and spilled this foul material on myself. When the refrigerator was removed from outside of my apartment, they spilled this foul material everywhere, and half heartedly cleaned up, which I had to follow up with water and bleach, in addition to having to bleach the entire floor in the apartment. You could smell the refrigerator 30-40 feet from the dumpster. I cannot stress how rotten this refrigerator was. I opened the door at 6AM, and you could smell my apartment from the curb. A new fridge was brought on, and when that didnt turn on, Solana turned power in the kitchen back on. No apology. No accomodations. No reimbursement. 5. I put in a work order request to fix my window, which would never lock. Which was ignored and closed. Which prompted me to open a second order showing that I had a piece of wood keeping my window locked. This was not resolved ultimately. Window was never safe/secure. 6. I bumped the awning and bent it with a Uhaul, because there is NOWHERE to unload or to park a Uhaul. Every single awning on the recently paved side of this facility is damaged. I brought the damage to the front desks attention as a courtesy. Even as my insurer was actively working to pay Solana Ridge, a charge that is unassociated with my rent was tacked to my rent and I was met with "NO", when I asked if Solana Ridge if they cold hold off on charging me. 7. I had to physically stop my 4 year old from running anywhere near the trash area every single time we do trash because the areas are so foul, and constantly have trash, and juices, and garbage and filth all over the ground 8. There is nowhere for your guests to park because all tenant abuse the guests spaces. There is "nowhere" to park. So guests park in front of leasing, and leasing threatens to tow those cars several times a week. I have never experienced anything like this in my life at any other place I have ever lived. They give my puppy a treat anytime i stop by, they're my girls :) Solana is such a calm, beautiful community to live in, if you're looking in temecula! very country club vibes, i loved it the moment i toured. By the time you sign the application you could have already lost your fees and deposit, contractually, and it could go downhill from there. CLARIFICATION.... It's only AFTER you've signed the credit application, and lease application, and given your credit card to pay the deposit and fees... that you find out the manager wants you to give their payment processor access to withdraw funds directly from your checking. at-will. He ALLEGEDLY doesn't want even cashiers' cheques in payment. They tell you you can use you credit card as the ONLY other alternative, but the fees are high. No.... According to other RentCafe and Yardi customers, the fees are up from $1.99 - $3.99 to about $45.00 - $54.00 per transaction. What about Snappt? If you don't agree, you've lost AT LEAST you deposit, contractually (yes, manager, we DO have copies of the contracts -- except not the Terms of Service for the payment processor which YOUR AGENT agreed to on our behalf.) When we posted this on Yelp, the manager responded with the usual platitudes making this about our asking for our deposit back. NO!!! WE NEVER ASKED FOR OUR DEPOSIT BACK and the manager knows that (or should know that). The manager can produce no such evidence. That seems to us like he was just distracting potential renters' attention from the truth. They started rejecting our emails, after the lease termination that very, evening but we told them in person and followed up with a letter, rescinding our credit application, lease application and authority to use our signatures. That what needed to be done to protect ourselves, in our collective opinion. It gets worse. If you don't IMMEDIAYELY WITHDRAW your lease application (rescinding all authorities to use your signatures), it seems (ask your lawyer), you could be approved for the lease and POTENTIALLY suffer other fees possibly including 3-months early termination fee, move out fees, cleaning fees (even if you never move in), parking fees (even if you never parked there), (depending on what you'ce agreed to -- ask your lawyer) ALLEGEDLY the $45.00 to $54.00 credit card carges per transaction, for using a credit card to pay those fees, if you didn't give the free-wheeling access to you bank account. Look for reviews discussing damage and move-out fees. I think we were lucky to have realized this as soon as we heard about the manager's payment restrictions and rushed to cancel our application and permissions. We realized that Yardi, Rent Cafe and Nova Credit SEEMED to all be working together and could potentially charge us, approve the lease, cancel the lease for inappropriate payment methods (read the reviews), and then ruin our perfect credit. We're further concerned about Snappt. It gets worse. This ALLEGEDLY doesn't happen to everyone. According to our banks we queried, some people ARE ALLOWED to provide cashiers' cheques in payment for the fees assessed!!! Sounds a lot like discrimination too, doesn't it? By trying to side-step our review and make it seem like we just wanted our deposit back, the manager may have just added to his troubles. What we want is for other potential renters (lessees) to be able to make an informed decision. My water heater went out recently, and the 2 maintenance workers (who work for the property) completed the install of the water heater were professional and courteous while in my apartment, which was much appreciated! The office staff is kind and professional and the manager Chris does a great job finding reasonable solutions to issues that come up. They are screwing us over on rent costs after transferring to a new apartment from another, it's been 7 months and their so called Rebill for utilities cost has not been addressed. We showed proof of utilities changes and the won't fix it. They blame it on the third-party biller, even when balances are $0. They owe us refunds. If I could give 0 stars I would. DO NOT MOVE HERE. 1. No communication with Management. 2. 5 Roof leaks. Masterbed room and guest room No compensation for damages to my personal property even from the renters insurance as the complex is too old to cover. I had to take off 5 days of work as Management refused to schedule the roofs to be repaired on a Saturday - Each time I confirmed with the roofers they do work Saturdays. No reimbursement for time I had to take off. 3. 7 break-ins with vehicles. 4. Tree falling on my car with damage - Manager Chris stated he would provide insurance information and did not follow-up. No call, no email. No communication. He is available in the morning, after lunch or anytime. He is always out of the office. I don't even know what he looks like. 5. The Fridge stopped working 2xs and they would refund the amount to fill the fridge - refunded less than 1/3 of the cost of food and I had to take it off my rent after 6 weeks of waiting for a response. 6. Dryer stopped working - they gave us a key to anther unit and when we turned the key in they states they had no idea we had the keys and the new renters were moving in next day!!! REALLY! 7. Piss and shit stains from the previous tenant who had pets. The carpet was not replaced. I paid out of pocket 4xs in the 12 months we lived there to get the carpets cleaned as the animal stains kept coming up from the padding. No reimbursement. 8. The piss and shit smell from the floor in the bathroom had to be replaced - it was awful. 1. 9. We were not allowed to see the unit prior to the move in date. Nothing like the unit they show you - counter tops are painted!!!! 10. The blind are not the proper blind for the until - The locks on the window will break the slat immediately - Even after a service order was requested to replace them as they stated it is a common issue - They refused to replace the blind in the spare room with 1 broken slat and then charged me at move out. 11. I was given 1 key to a garage with no automatic opener and they tried to charge me at move out. 12. The garage provided was covered in wall to wall spiders and webs. We had to clean it out as I made several requested to Management - who did nothing. 13. There was a 2x2 foot cut out in the ceiling to the garage I was assigned and it took 3 work orders later to have it sealed. It was awful - I could not leave anything in there and other units had access thru the roof of the garage. 14. The first time I used the guest bathroom the tub did not drain. Horrible. 15. I was told at move in a Pet fee would be $500.00 for up to 2 pets and when I added my pets they charged me $500 each - information provided at move-in and prior to move-in was completed incorrect - Office staff Alexa/Alexis - Eventually they got rid of her. 16. The pool/spa is like stucco siding on a house but worse. You can't move without cutting yourself if you scrape the wall of the pool or spa. 17. The water faucet at the dog park did not work for 10 out of the 12 months I lived there. 18. The front gates are always open - no security!! 19. Upstairs patio drain into the downstairs patio - MANAGEMENT tells you not to clean your patios OR water your plans. - WHAT!! 20. The online portal is horrible and you are not able to clearing see or make payments. Management claims they are aware but have done nothing. 21. I requested a copy of all work orders since the portal does not allow access and I am not able to clearly view them - Management flat out said no - get it off the portal. 22. I asked for a hard copy of my lease - Management said no - get it off the portal. 23. My family was severely sick during the 12 months I lived here. MOLD in the attic from 5 roof leaks they had 3 different roofing companies fix. I reported to management and nothing was done. 24. - When the roofers fixed the leak they disconnect all of the vents in my unit for the air conditioning. I had a bill over $150.00 than usual and no reimbursement from Management. I had to provide proof there was no air coming out of the vents!!! 25. The people that have lived there for a few years are there paying less than $1000 for the going rate. My neighbor with the same unit was paying $1000 less than I was at move-in. 26. This complex is on a main route for the local fire department - Something they don't tell you. So at the minimum there is 3-4 Fire trucks passing each day, each night. No sleep. 27. Management is not able to make any decisions. Assistant Manager states the Manager has to make the decision, the Manager (CHRIS) states upper management has to make decision. - No return call from upper management with several VM left to 2 different contact provided by Assist Manager - 8 weeks and counting with no response. 28. There are no filters in the Fridge with the ice maker. Ice contains black rocks and tastes horrible. MOST OF ALL NO COMMUNICATION WITH MANAGEMENT. Even at move-out it was a hassle. read more

Rohany is an amazing maintenance guy you can always count on him if you ever need something fix in your apartment he's super quick with his service and gets the job done, and is he's super polite and respectful. read more

Just moved in and I already love it! The community is quiet and clean. Maintenance is awesome, friendly, professional and they keep their space clean and tidy while working. Tony has handled everything I needed in a timely matter. My water heater went out several times on me and Tony was there within the hour checking it out after the second time he replaced the whole thing same day and now I have hot water and no issues. I can't say enough good about this maintenance team! read more
