I really love LifeTime Westlake! The gym is beautiful, the facilities are excellent, and everything…read moreis consistently clean. Overall, it's a great place to work out and spend time. That said, there are a couple of areas that I find frustrating. Several other LifeTime locations offer a Pilates class called CTR at no additional charge, and I have repeatedly requested that this class be added at Westlake, but so far there has been no progress. Considering that Westlake dues are actually higher than many other locations, I would expect the amenities and class offerings to be at least comparable. I'm also disappointed by how frequently the pool slides are closed throughout the day and the lack of maintenance and care to the Hyperice. I can never find the right sizes and the machines decompress due to sealing issues. I genuinely love the Westlake club and would love to see Life Time continue investing in the member experience by bringing in popular classes like CTR and improving the consistency of the pool amenities and overall maintenance.

I am reading complaints about rates and fees and honestly, mine were very reasonable. Overall I love it here. If I was forced to come up with cons, id say its becoming overcrowded with young males who like to stand around 4 to 5 people at a station talking and posing in the mirrors but to be honest, they are all nice kids and create a good energy. Everyone seems to get along great. I do wish we had more space or could manage the space a little better but again, I love this place. Give them a shot at your business..

My husband canceled his membership beforehand (I think in June), but we have been charged every month since we left. He has emailed and called several times, and now we are basically have to make a trip to see them when we come in to town--not how we wanted to spend time off--to get them to cancel it. They are living up to the cliché. (When I canceled my membership several months before that, it DID drop off my credit card statement, but no one ever responded to my emails or calls. Not a "thank you for letting us know" or "sad to see you go." Nothing. I even tried to return the key fob they gave me. Oh, well.)

I have been going to Outlaw since February 2025 and love the FitCamp classes and personal training…read morethat they have. Both the classes and personal training are 30 minute sessions, so it's easy to fit the time into my day. The FitCamps target a different area of the body each day, like arms & chest on Mondays, Wednesday is leg day, etc. And the coaches are all great. They each bring their personalities to class and they know each member. I love how they will bring you a higher weight choice if they feel that you can lift more. I find this motivating not intimidating. My personal training coach is Madison Sandvig, I see her twice a week for 30 minutes each session and she always has a great workout ready for me. Because of her, I have toned up, lost weight & inches and have reached new personal bests! She brings the right amount of energy and holds me accountable, which is exactly what I need. It's a great community and I'm so happy that I found this "hidden" gem.

I love this gym soooo much. Everyone wants to see you do your best and push you!!!! CAMRON!!!!!!!! The best ever trainer I will never let him go. Ladies! I thought I'd hate a guy trainer but he's everything you'd want in a trainer I swear! Not touchy, very professional but we had awesome fitness & non fitness conversations. Very very knowledgeable about the craft, honest and friendly, he's approachable and he will push you to get to your goals. 500/10 highly HIGHLY recommend. I did have interactions with other trainers, Brayden and Jeff, both very awesome. Although they where not my trainers I would recommend them as well! They are some of the many that made me feel at home at the gym. 200/10 recommend them boys. Also I don't know her name but she was a trainer I believe, it was just me and her there and she was leaving, she asked if I felt comfortable being alone or if she should stay. Like who does that? They care, they are awesome. Even if she wasn't a trainer these are the type of people who come here. Now back on to the gym. Thinking about going to planet fitness? Fitness connection? 24hr fitness? Blink fitness? Gross don't go. This is your sign! This the gym for you. They have every equipment you'd need, PLUS it's cleaner than them nasty places, PLUS ya get awesome people to be around, PLUS it's just better I promise. After relocating to DFW from the San Francisco area, I thought NexGen would be a great choice for…read morecontinuing to work towards my health and fitness goals. After researching Yelp for a new gym, I took advantage of the "free workout" (read: sales pitch) and ultimately decided to agree to a 25 session package after some haggling. Unfortunately, NexGen just didn't live up to my expectations for multiple reasons: 1. The service marketed to prospective clients is not delivered once the sale is closed. The training plan is not personalized, not shared with the client and often delivered by trainers that are not familiar with the client and their goals. Further, the initial baseline assessment, sold as part of the package, is billed as a training session. By agreeing to the training package, you should expect a trainer (often the same trainer, but not always) to push you through a general workout which is not designed for your needs and goals. 2. The trainers operate as though they are on a shot clock rather than focusing on truly coaching their clients. I don't think that this is on the trainers since I got the feeling that there is more focus on cranking out sessions, turning clients, and ending on time (early) to ensure the next session isn't impacted. For a discount trainer, I would say that this is fine, however NexGen is charging a minimum of $75/hr, a price that should command elite service and attention. 3. Questionable sales tactics and marketing. This is really what moved me to write this review. I went back and forth a few times, because the trainers are good here, and the service offering may work for some people. That said, I think it's important to point out that it's not a coincidence that NexGen has all 5 start reviews. They offer free sessions for reviews 5 star reviews!! One session for Yelp and an additional session for Google and Facebook. As someone who relies on the objectivity and quality of these reviews and ratings, I am appalled by this offer and the amount of people (with very few reviews) who have fallen for the tactic. Beyond the review issue, I just don't believe the value proposition is there for NexGen. If I had to summarize this training facility, I would do so by highlighting that it operates using a franchise, plug-and-play business model. I believe this approach conflicts with providing high-quality services, such as personal training. I think the trainers are talented and capable. However, the services and price point are misaligned. My advice: Look around and if you decide to give NexGen a try, don't be afraid to negotiate a bit before you sign (# of sessions and price/session).

Moreover, we have learned life changing and potentially life saving skills. Professor Alejandro Siqueira is literally World Class. His record of accomplishments in competitions around the world is staggering. His attention to detail in teaching and individual attention is incredible. There is no one in the martial arts world that you will find that is more personable, friendly, approachable, and humble than Professor Alejandro. There is plenty of room for spectators/parents to sit, and the changing areas are more than ample. I have trained in at least five martial arts facilities and with at least five sets of instructors over the last 40+ years. None are better than GB Southlake.
