I have been doing CrossFit for five years and recently switched gyms to OYL. My job also includes dropping into multiple local gyms, so I have been to quite a few over the years. During my first drop-in class, I immediately noticed the difference in coaching that set OYL apart. The coaches are knowledgeable and well trained to help modify or advance any movement based on my needs and ability. They prioritize form and safety so that I naturally progress and am eager to when the time comes. Every class I have attended is intentionally structured, so it efficiently flows to give me the best workout. The programming is tailored for OYL's members, so I leave feeling motivated and excited for the next day's workout. I truly feel like the staff cares about my goals and have already helped me reach some in the short time I've been a member. Another aspect that sets OYL far apart from other gyms is their attention to COMPLETE health. They offer a nutrition program with a coach, and they are even partnered with a meal prep company. They also offer breathwork, weightlifting, and gymnastic workshops that expand beyond what we can learn during daily class time. They also offer group support for areas outside of fitness such as finance, relationships, and career. I do not have to participate in any of them, however I LOVE that they have the programs for when I am ready to develop those areas. The owners and coaches truly want to help improve all areas of my life. They are here to change the lives of the community and I am here for it! CrossFit OYL (Own Your Life) is by far unmatched!

I've sat here thinking about what I should rate this place. Here are my thoughts…read more If your child is older and in good shape, they will most likely have a good time. There are a TON of different things to climb or swing on. But you have to be pretty strong and tall to be able to use the equipment. There is one very small trampoline that really can only be used as a springboard to jump off of, so don't confuse this with a trampoline park. This is NOT like an Airborne or an Urban Air. This is strictly a ninja warrior type of place. There are 2 things I really disliked about this gym. First, you have to pay for kids ages 4 and up. My 4 year old twins could not reach anything to be able to enjoy the equipment. My 6 year old had a lot of trouble also. They were all ready to go after 30 minutes. My other problem is safety. This is not a place where you can relax and watch your kids from your seat. I had to walk through the gym to make sure all of the mats were placed correctly on the floor (many were not). There is also a lot of heavy equipment that could fall on younger children if touched, and many items out that probably should not have been. I think some of these things will be sorted in time since this is a new business. Since we booked a 2 hour play session, I asked the associate at the front desk if we could play pickleball for an hour instead of playing out our second hour. He did try to charge me $60 for pickleball so we just decided to leave early. Generally, my 11 year old and 9 year old had a good time. But if you are planning your being younger children, I would consider going elsewhere.

Played pickleball here during the summer and had a great time. Staff was so friendly and helpful…read more We were rusty and needed a refresher on some of the rules; they gladly went through it with us even though we were just there to play on our own. You can rent a court by the hour, starting on the hour (not starting on half hours). Compared to other places we have played, the pricing is a little high, but it's indoor and we got out of the heat, so it was worth it! It's more of a gym than a social places like chicken n pickle. No food/bar etc here.

This is hands down the best Sober Living I have ever seen. The house itself is amazing. Large…read moreprivate rooms with huge TV's, queen beds with all new mattresses and high thread count linens. Only the best. That's how they do it at Elements. From the Breville espresso maker to the grand piano in the living room, or the putting green out back and egg smoker on the deck. And it's situated in the warm niche neighborhood of Lakewood, right in Swiss Avenue in the heart of Dallas. The area is like a small borough in NYC, where you can see the beautiful skyline as you walk to anywhere you need to go, like trendy and quality restaurants, spa treatments, haircuts, banks, even the gym which they provide memberships for clients. Location is important because it puts residents in close proximity to a ton of people in recovery, and different recovery meetings nearby. There are several A.A., NA, Dharma, and SMART recovery meetings nearby, and weekly they have an NA meeting and a Dharma recovery meeting at the house which are both excellent and well attended. But the really precious thing about Elements is the people. The residents are all highly motivated towards recovery and supportive of one another. The house manager is vigilant and committed to keeping residents on track. Drug testing weekly and breathalyzers every night. He also coordinates and participates in community service events like feeding the homeless. The Sober Coach is one of the best in the country. He is instrumental in reframing the situation as it applies to each individual and their long term recovery goals. He helps with relationships and communication with loved ones and advocates for the residents. He leads outreach ventures eg to maximum security prisons and includes residents in these outings. The Life Coach is one of the smartest people I've ever met. She helps residents with everything from the simple tasks of linking bank accounts where they need to go, to formalizing and updating their resumes and doing interview prep. And all of them are networked all over DFW and can get the resident in front of of exactly the right people to achieve their objectives. I've seen residents come through here and transform their lives for the better, improving their relationships, education, and career opportunities. It's a beautiful thing to see the positive transformation that occurs during a resident's time at Elements and working with the team. Highest rating. I could not endorse more emphatically. Five Stars. I sincerely appreciate this place, these people, and what they do.
