After spending the first 29 years of my life always hating, fearing, and agonizing dentist visits,…read moreand always bouncing around different offices desperately hoping to find a place that at least wasn't completely awful, at the age of 30 I finally fell in love with one! I don't even know where to begin. Everyone was just so nice and respectful, and professional and happy to be at work! The receptionists were just lovely. The woman (I forget her name and job title, regrettably) who did my cleaning and X-rays was just a saint!! She went out of her way to calm me down and make me feel comfortable, gave helpful and encouraging advice, and just showed genuine compassion and understanding. The best part was the cleaning itself. Literally every single time I have told new dentists I have sensitive teeth. Still every single time the cleanings were downright torturous. But not here!!! I told her I had sensitive teeth, so she went out of her way to make sure it wouldn't hurt! I didn't feel a thing, except that awesome clean feeling afterward. It's been a few weeks now but I still just cannot get over how amazing the experience here was. Now I FINALLY have a dentist I can make my own permanently.

Would give less than 1 star if I could. Absolutely love my hygienist who I've seen for years, she…read moreis amazing. The staff at the desk are absolutely awful. Since Dr Arvilli left, the place went downhill fast. I've been coming to this dentist for TWENTY NINE years. I called to make an appointment to just find out that they will no longer take me as a patient since I've had cancellations in the past. Cancellations in which they charge me for. Absolutely ridiculous and disgusting office.

This is my complaint to the New York Department State Division of Consumer Protection. File No…read more 20150411-143650. The Dentist did not respond to them after several letters. If they dont respond to the Department of State does this mean they are not a high caliber organization ? I made an appointment with the above dentist . I told them that I already had x rays for the broken tooth in question. I said that they were emailed to me. I asked if I could email them and they said no. I asked if I printed them are they good. They said sometimes. They said they had no email to send them to. I had this same conversation more than once. They said they were making a "limited appointment" just to look at this tooth. On the day of the appointment I brought two xrays of the tooth in question and bite xrays from a month before those. They said I had to give them my social security number or they would not see me. When I was called in the girl said that I had to have a whole mouth of xrays. I told her I previously discussed this and was not having a full panel xray and that I brought xrays. I believe in not needlessly repeating xrays because the are not good for you. The dentist then came in and looked at the tooth. He said I needed a crown and he would see if the xrays were acceptable to get a coverage pre approval. After several minutes a woman came in and said the xrays were insufficient and said that I had to have the full mouth taken. I asked specifically what the problem was. I also said I have the original xrays available on computer. She said things such as :"your giving everybody a hard time" and "I have room full,of patients" and she didnt have time to discuss it. She said I could go to another dentist. I would think that a health professional would sympathize with a patient not getting the same xrays twice I then asked if I could speak to the dentist again. She went out and came back and said it was "non negotiable".Apparently the dentist would not discuss it. I dont know if she handles his dirty work. She also said "you were told about having to get the full xrays before you came in". I told them this was absolutely not the case. She insisted it was because the office manager said so. She apparently was now calling me a liar. Having politely listened to her previous statements I now said that it was the office manager who was the liar. She then said "get out" which I happily did. She refused to give me her name. How would I know that printed xrays from my computer were sometimes good and sometimes not if this was not the discussion. I would have to be very foolish to come in if they told me about having to get all these xrays in advance knowing that I didn't agree to them. -------------------. I have a temporary filling that can break at any time. The NY medical practice rules forbid a practitioner from abusing, harassing or intimidating a patient. If anyone knows the name of the above individual I think we should let people know it. She had short dark hair and glasses. When the Office did not respond, the Department of State forwarded the matter to the Attorney General, If someone said something that was not true about someone I think that we could be pretty sure that they would respond. Referral letter: Office of Attorney General Bureau of Consumer Frauds and Protection State Capital Albany, New York 12224 Re, A&B Dental, Andrew Markowitz Dear Sir/Madam, The enclosed complaint is being forwarded to you for review and appropriate action. We have written several letters to the company in an attempt to resolve this matter. Unfortunately to date the company has refused to respond. As the Division of Consumer Protection is set up to resolve disputes through voluntary settlement, we are unable to take any further action in this matter. Therefore any assistance you may be able to provide would be greatly appreciated. ------------------------------------- The Attorney General looks for patterns of abuse. If anyone has such experience with this dental office they should report it. Rate MD has reviews with the office manager called "horrific, nasty, obnoxious, rude" Yahoo has numerous 1 star reviews, the one review on vitals is a single star. They said he should get another dentist when he had a complaint about something. Healthgrades has them listed below average in all eight categories of patient experiences. I think a patient should know what kind of abuse he is in for when he sees a particular dentist. What type of patient would go near this place?

Absolute horrible dental office!! At ALL costs avoid this practice. I had an appointment for a…read morecavity filling. i waited over an hour to be called in. Once I was called in, I was told that they had no more material available to complete a filling. Are you kidding me?? Your a dental office!! But not only that the assistant was rude to me about it. In no way shape or form was this woman polite about telling me I had just wasted all that time for nothing. At a prior visit I watched an older gentlemen ask one of the girls @ the front desk a question. Her response was "get the f@&k out of the office." I wish I had a view of who the actual girl was but from where I was sitting I could not see her face. I will be going further w/ this matter.
