This…read moresecond time I did all prenatal care visits with Nicole which was a total different experience than with my past OBGYNs .. she caught things that my previous OBs had missed; also I was impressed that she doesn't not need any fancy equipment or invasive procedures to tell you what is going on. She takes her time to get to know your whole person not just your vitals. Nicole has great faith in her momma's abilities. She made me feel empowered and competent to deliver my baby med free which helped my mindset remain calm and safe knowing I was in good hands. I had my baby girl the end of the week of the Texas freak freeze. Nicole and Jessica were still constantly monitoring me and checking up on me when I had already started dilating earlier the week before. No concern or question was dumb & Nicole has the ability to make your family(husband, kids, parents ect) also become a special part of the pregnancy and birth process. Nicole is not like anyone I know she is passionate about serving mom's who want a natural birth and minimizing the risks of having a traumatic birth experience because she is honest with you the whole way. So happy we had Blessed Womb in our lives they were truly a blessing.

One place answered and hung up on me because they assumed I didn't speak Spanish. The last place I called was blessed womb I had fully exhausted all my google resources and she was the first to actually answer, unfortunately I couldn't even get 3 words in before her unprofessionalism started. Talking about how everyone who lives down here (riogrande valley) " is a bunch of snakes and not to be trusted." How we are to blame for her wishy washy business practices making it impossible for her to navigate her field like her piers. This is the first thing she ever said to me. I assumed she was just having a REALLY bad day and felt like I didn't have many other options so I gave her the benefit of the doubt and we met ONCE it took her over a month and half to actually meet up for our appointment. We rescheduled easily 5 times and while the appointment went well she was just a little high strung and there were red flags everywhere. This was my image of the natural birth space here where I lived and I was mortified of possibly having to birth another baby in a hospital I was truly devastated. I met with a doula who I was interviewing to be apart of my birth team (with Nicole who at this point had consistently rescheduled my intake appointments) and at some point I just broke down bc of the stress of not feeling prioritized by midwife and she gave me the number to somebody located out in Brownsville. Aside from the initial phone call interaction had I never met anyone else in the community I would have said she was a decent candidate but having met the beautiful positive empowering women in this space I've realized I dodged a bullet with all of her rescheduling and canceling finally forcing me to find someone more reliable.

Appointment was at 1:30. Was the 3rd person in line. Waited 45 min while the 2 previous people in…read moreline were in and out within that time. They even made follow up appointments for them as we continued to wait. A total of 5 others walked in 15-20 min after we did and were taken to examination rooms almost immediately upon arrival. AFTER 50 min of waiting I inquired as to what the determining factors in being admitted versus not being admitted were. They mentioned that since ours was a vaccination they "would check to see is the girls in the back were ready" to administer it. So if you're scheduling vaccinations in this place call ahead to insure that "the girls in the back" are ready to see you in a timely manner. They ushered us into an intermediary waiting room after we voiced our observations. 15 min after that we were in the exam room. Any disparity in average wait times should be communicated to the patient upon making of the appointment. If DLC is aware that certain types of appointments take longer than others that should be shared with clients as a courtesy upon the making of the appointment and or arrival.

As soon as I walked into the office of Dr.Almaguer, I felt as if I was a priority in their eyes. The receptionists and nurses there are so incredibly sweet and they make you feel welcomed every time you step into their building. Dr.Almaguer in general is a really awesome and I would 100% recommend him to anyone who is thinking of looking for an OB!

I'm pregnant with my last child and as in most other cases my husband wanted to be involved. after a four hour wait the day before,he was turned away and told men weren't aloud in the rooms. Seriously!?!? Apparently they said they do it for the privacy of other patients. I think this dr seriously has to rethink this. I loved his service and attentiveness but the wait was always hell and then on top of that this... I switched dr at almost seven months pregnant. Dr Charles Austin is by far the best dr ever... I had my second baby w him and regret not seeing him w the last. He stayed all night in the hospital w me. I had an car accident while pregnant and he called the hospital and had the er waiting for me and sent his assistants all night to check on me. He works out of a clinic that's the only down side, but it's so worth it. U will have the best service every w him. I wish there was more doctors like him.

She was on her phone during examination and not showing interest to the patient and parent. It took three weeks for another doctor to tell her; she was wrong in her diagnostics, after she two weeks of her "treatment". Dr. Nancy Jimenez does not work as she used to with patients.

When I just needed help. The receptionist was great, and I love that she recognized me whenever I walked in. The other doctor/PA Jonathan was also good to me. But both Cesar and Dr. Glatz never treated me good and would exaggerate my attitude and tone when writing/recording their notes. Highly don't recommend.

They both mentioned how much they had missed out on for years. So that prompted me to think maybe I should get my hearing checked. When I saw Dr. Steel I asked him if he could recommend a good audiologist. And he set me up at the Mackie Clinic. When I arrived I had the normal paperwork to fill out and after that was promptly ushered to see Dr. Mackie. The first thing he did was check my ears for ear wax. And boy did he find a bunch! Then I got to visit the audiologist to see if there were any deficiencies in my hearing. Sure enough, I was showing problems with high-frequency hearing loss. Visiting with the audiologist Marco Pulido we discussed the various devices available. Then we decided on a set of devices which I must say are working fantastically well. In fact, they are so good I hate to go without wearing them. And the follow-up visits are great too as he continues to fine-tune them for me and gives me additional pointers on the proper care for them. So, even if you are not sure you are having hearing problems, just to have things checked out you might consider giving the clinic a call.
