I loved everything from the beams to the windows and skylights to the stained concrete floor. It was a gorgeous space and the perfect backdrop for our rustic barn reception. The staff is friendly and professional, and the price is extremely affordable. They also allow you to bring in your own vendors which was a major win for us! Our friends, family, and guests are still talking about our wedding to this day, 6 months later. We couldn't have found a better place for our dream wedding.

The room was clean upon arrival. The sleeper bed isn't the most comfortable, but it did the job. The bathroom was well stocked with soap, shampoo, conditioner and body wash. It had a mini fridge, microwave and coffee maker station. The only thing that brought my stars down was the elevator. Josh Dobson needs to check with Cherry Berry's notes, because I was scared! It made a slamming noise and shrill every time it went up and down. I didn't hear outside noises throughout the night. They had a simple breakfast in the lobby area in the morning. The desk clerks were super nice. They have a snack area. I've stayed here twice and I have no problem staying again. The surrounding area is convenient to a lot of stores and restaurants.

We played No 2, 4, 8, and 9. No 8 was my fav mostly because it was a little shorter from the forward tees and the fairways and greens were a bit wider. No 2 and 4 were just plain hard. Turtle shell greens and narrow fairways surrounded by tons of waste areas made these most difficult for me. We were on a meal plan and the restaurants on this plan are quite good. Villaggio and 1895 Grille were my favs. With the meal plan each person gets an app, entree, and dessert. With 6 people, I've never seen so much good food. Try the steak at 1895 Grille and any of the homemade pastas at Villaggio. Breakfast each morning in the hotel was a buffet with a build your own omelette station and that was fantastic. The whole hotel has a country club vibe and the staff is outstanding. They make you feel like you are in a special place. Things that were good. We did a spa day which was an excellent way to break up so much golf. I'm a golf every-other-day person so two days in a row was a bit much for me. The spa was in a temp area (aka lower level of hotel in bedrooms). They are remodeling the building that will house the new spa and I think that will be amazing. I had a massage and Jessica was great. It will be so much better with new facilities as we couldn't sauna, shower, etc. Things that need to improve. The hotel in general is showing a lot of signs of age. The hall carpet was awful. The elevators were ancient. The rooms were just meh. For a higher priced stay, it just wasn't what I expected. We even upgraded to a premium room and I could tell no diff between our room and the rooms we booked for our kids. I didn't like how the doors open right into a view of the bed. The bathroom had little vanity to set anything on. I hated that the bed did not use a fitted sheet on the bottom as I spent all night trying to shift it over. The grounds were stunning. The inside needs a little work. Parking was easy which surprised me. The courses are sometimes an 8 min drive so you need to drive or use the hotel supplied shuttles. Again, staff was excellent.

Unfortunately, her staff forgot to deliver the corsages and boutonnières to the venue when they delivered the bouquets and centerpieces. We had to do a lot of detective work to find Leslie's home phone number to let her know that flowers were missing, since their shop was already closed. They finally arrived 2 minutes before I walked down the aisle. I was stressed beyond belief! And while the flowers they provided were lovely, they did not look like the example photo that I provided in our initial meeting. (They used purple and gold flowers; not what I asked for.) Our room was the cleanest of all the hotels we have stayed in since 3/2020 (I think we've visited 4 or 5 properties since then). The rooms were pretty large and have classic decor. We liked having access to a refrigerator to store cold drinks, and there is a Harris Teeter and Lowe's supermarket within walking distance to get supplies for the room. We had hoped to try out the pool but it was chock full of kids when we arrived -- no room for us! We wish that the pool was a little bigger and had more space but we also get that it's first come, first served. There is a really nice firepit/lounging outdoor area by the bar that looks fun, too. It appears this was an older hotel that was remodeled. The toilets are the older ones that are the lowest height, which may be a problem for some guests. You may need an accessible room if you have any knee/leg issues.

Kitchenette is the perfect size and Loews food store is across the parking lot. We make lunch here and eat dinner out. Outdoor grill for your use. Shuttle service to Pinehurst. Mini golf across the parking lot. Martin's Dog Park is not that far if you want to walk dogs on a trail, but there is also an area at the hotel. Good sized pool for kids.
