We planted the flowers after they sat for a few days and they're growing like crazy! The staff was super helpful while we were shopping, helping us find stuff and get a box to take the plants home safely. Not a huge shop but so many plants from flowers to trees. There were seeds all on the wall inside with the gardening supplies. They had a few items that would be good for gifts, they have some art, books, kitchen items, and house plants (succulents, jades, etc...). They have a cute shop with good quality product, kind staff and good value. Would recommend for plant people!

The plants don't look their best in the spring because they are dormant. So a beginner would likely dismiss these as dead plants for sale. But long-time Rocky Mountain gardeners know these dry-looking tufts will wake up and grow into healthy plants by late spring or early summer. I've bought many of my starter native plants here and they have matured and multiplied through the years. However, beginners can get lots of help and advice from staff. You need to overcome the expectation of wanting lush, green seedlings to take home. These plants are priced higher than those in big box stores, but they are worth it. They have been acclimated to the local conditions, outside of cozy greenhouses with built in sprinklers. They will settle well in your Rocky Mountain backyard.

In place of the Piñon pine we will have lilac to cover the space in front of privacy window of the downstairs bath . In the space where the Colorado Blue spruce was removed as way too close to the neighbor's house for their safety , emergency will put in 2 more lilacs to give a more colorful feel near the forsythia. We did not buy them today but found the exact variety we wanted. They had plenty so we will go back soon in a bigger vehicle when we are closer to the time we had decided to plant. The staff was incredibly helpful and directed us to the lilacs on a detailed printed map. Every plant we saw was in beautiful shape and it was such a colorful display across the property.

Today, 6/25 late afternoon, I was shopping with my daughter. We bought 3 trees, various perennials and chemicals. Trei, their nasty rude checker who couldn't or wouldn't say "Hello" or "Thank you". I went ahead to move the vehicle for easier loading. Even though there weren't any cars in the lot, the checker came out specifically to harass me. In his big boy nasty voice, he told me to move my vehicle. I was in complete shock, and thought he was kidding. I asked why? In a violent threatening tone he said "MOVE IT!" He told me he was the manager. Maybe they'd not need to spend so much on advertising, if they weren't driving us off. The only satisfaction will be posting my review until my crippled hands ache. I want to add. I was so looking forward to this trip. I got a nurse to watch Ron. My daughter and I have enjoyed Caesar, Heather and the previous checkers and garden workers over the years. Caesar's been a superstar, packing plants tight so we'd get it in one trip. Three years ago our favorite checker gave us a couple samples of Plant-tone for a memorial garden we were planting. Not a big deal, but a kindness I remembered. Not a car in the lot. I get it now. Smart folks were at Tagawa paradise or......fill in the blank. Hey Trei, you are small and petty. Misogyny and ageism are evil. Thumbs up this so they know we all want to be treated like humans.

You kidding? I'm the first to review this fantastic greenhouse?…read more Well cool, sign me up. High points: long-term local institution, great owners and staff, incredibly healthy plants, amazing veggies and fun hanging baskets. Highest points: their vegetables. Seriously. I shop around the various nurseries in the area to pick up what I consider to be their specialties, and here - VEGETABLES. Wonderful selection of both classic standby and heirloom tomatoes, wide variety of peppers, great berries and herbs and squash...you really need to visit if you haven't already. I mean - the seedlings are so strong and happy with life they look as though they want to jump out of their pots and shout 'TAH-DAH!' Also, great, sort of eclectic selection of annuals - wander through. Within some plants they cultivate an impressive spectrum of varieties that I don't find elsewhere. With others, not so much, but everything is healthy. I haven't really used them for perennials, but they do have a selection outside and I think it's expanding. This is a wonderful place to be. It's not necessarily chi-chi...you won't find a lovely selection of contemporary glazed pots here, and I find some of their baskets a little old fashioned, but wandering those aisles in early May is one of my absolutely favorite seasonal rituals, and has been for years. And every plant I purchase thrives as soon as it hits the soil.
