In addition to being a scientific/engineering consultant, I'm a mystic, spiritual teacher/healer and an intuitive. When I travel, I often get readings from local psychics.
Since I'm a mystic, my life is filled with Divine love and grace, and I'm happy and have great peace of mind. Please note that when I visit a psychic, I am not seeking help with any problems, nor answers to questions, nor do I have any wishes, nor am I seeking spiritual guidance. Rather, I visit them because God asks me to do so, and to have a fun way of connecting with supernatural practitioners. Finally, I am very good at setting boundaries with people, including pushy salespeople and occasional unethical psychics who may be tempted to try to con me.
So, when reading my reviews of psychics, it may be VERY HELPFUL for you to bear in mind what I wrote above. Due to these facts, your own experience with the same psychic might be very different from mine. In other words, your mileage may vary (from mine)! Further, my reviews of all psychics are for their psychic readings only, and never for any additional services that they might offer, such as healings, cleansings, or spiritual guidance.
I visited this shop on 10/22. The reader was a slender dark-haired woman in her late 30s named Cookie. Her glossy multicolored 2-sided biz card read "Spiritual Healer, Spiritual Adviser". She advised me that while the phone # on the card was correct, it showed an address on W. 31st St., the location of her "other shop", which was not yet open.
I asked for palm reading and full tarot card reading, totaling $95, and, as I always do, I paid cash in advance of the reading.
As I always do when getting a reading, this was a totally cold reading: I told Cookie, prior to the start of the reading, only my first name, place of birth, and that I was staying in a nearby hotel. I told her nothing more about myself until after the reading had ended.
Overall, the reading was not very accurate in terms of her reportage of my past and the present, although there were some very notable exceptions wherein she very quickly reported several facts very accurately, with very specific and detailed information, including the following:
-- about my marriage/relationship.
-- about my wife.
-- that I am a spiritual teacher & healer, and an intuitive (she noted that I have powerful spiritual & psychic abilities).
-- that I'm very healthy.
-- that I have great peace of mind.
-- that many beautiful women from around the world pursue me, often for the wrong reasons, because they are needy & lost, and that many are energy vampires.
-- that I have two beautiful young blonde-haired female friends who are each Scorpios (mid-Nov. birth), and that each is confused and (spiritually/ mentally/ life direction) lost, needy, and manipulative.
-- that I'm very good at setting boundaries with such people such as those listed above.
However, despite the above-cited successes, Cookie was, overall, only about 50% accurate in her reading. A number of other specific and detailed statements that she made about my life, my energy body/aura and soul were totally wrong.
She also tried the old con game of trying to persistently convince me that I was spiritually in bad shape and badly in need of extra services from her: she kept trying to convince me that 3 of my chakras were totally blocked, and that I had a lot of spiritual and soul damage.
In other words, she repeatedly tried to prime me for an upsell by telling me the above-cited negative stuff, and then she tried a big upsell, one which I had seen coming almost since the reading had started: she offered to do a "spiritual upliftment" treatment to fix me, for a big price tag. When I declined, she then tried selling me a crystal that would "clear" me. I refused all such offers very firmly but politely, and after my very clear refusals, she finally backed off from attempts at an upsell.
BTW, even though I had forewarned her that I did not expect any future predictions (fortunetelling), because of the difficulty of accurately forecasting the future (b/c humans have free will), she insisted on offering me at least five very clear and specific and detailed predictions anyway! While two of the predictions (regarding good health for the rest of my life, a very long lifetime, and excellent fortunes, coupled with near-total lack of problems/bumps in my future life) were totally in agreement with what hundreds of other psychics (each w/a proven track record of accuracy) have also reported, there were three other very specific predictions for events, one in one month, one in 3 months, & one in 4 months. All that I can say is that time will tell if those predictions are correct, but I won't judge Cookie harshly if they're not, because, as noted above, making accurate predictions via psychic means is tough!
