My skin needs based on what I told her as well as her expertise. For example, I told her that I have combination skin with a troublesome T-zone and briefly described to her what my skin concerns were and what my daily skincare routine was like. Based on this information, she was able to diagnose me or at least recommend two masks that I found really helpful in helping me to achieve the holiday glow I was going for. She recommended a Goji berry mask for the hydration and anti-aging properties and then a golden honey mask for the T-zone. As a beauty influencer, I find it refreshing when expertise meets the customer experience. We started the facial with a massage, and it really helped me with the holiday stress and knots that I had especially in the upper shoulders. She also did an extraction for me, which isn't really usually what I do, but I know that my fiancé and others love to watch those ASMR medical videos where they pop, pimples and extract, blackheads and whiteheads, so that's probably a really satisfying process to watch. I usually take my hygiene very seriously as well as my skin care routine so it was so surprising to see how much gunk she could extract and I was in awe. The process of getting a beauty treatment involves a lot of talking and venting and I really do feel like I unintentionally used this session as a much needed therapy session, but I also developed a lifelong friendship with both Marilyn and Melissa who introduced me to the business. This holiday season I will be going up to New Hampshire to spend Christmas with my future in-laws so I was really aiming to impress this year and Marilyn really helped me achieve a look that enhances my own natural beauty and makes me feel radiant and sparkly like a snowflake. I honestly couldn't recommend her more and I'm deeply considering using this business for my own wedding. That's how much I believe in her and the quality of care I received. P.S. The only minor critique that I have which is easily fixed is that during the winter, especially due to the shed it is a little bit cold in there so preferably a larger or industrial size space heater would work, but she was such a sweetheart and brought hot water from the house and still made it a really comfortable and an enjoyable experience despite the elements so just for consideration, I give that a 10 out of 10.

Michelle highly recommended micro-dermabrasion as a treatment for this, and my mother has been going for this treatment about once ever 3 weeks since then - as well as some sort of a radio frequency treatment (can't recall the exact name). Since she has been going, her acne scars and large pores have been significantly reduced, and skin elasticity greatly increased. Michelle is a nurse aesthetician who is very knowledgeable about the treatments and products she uses. She is very good at explaining how they work and what they accomplish. She's also not one to BS you into buying a treatment you don't need. I have only visited Secret Beauty a couple of times myself, but I would like to add that not only is she a super genuine person, she's also a complete bad-ass. If you visit (which I hope you do!) make sure to ask her to tell you about the time she chased down some kid trying to steal her car.

The first thing I was asked was, "Do you have an appointment?" No one asked what service I was looking for or made me feel welcomed. The massage itself was also disappointing. He mainly massaged my back, and his hands were very rough. For my legs, he put a towel over them and lightly massaged over/around them. For what was supposed to be a full-body massage, I honestly felt like I paid $45 for almost nothing. On top of that, a woman was talking nearby during my massage, which made it difficult to relax. The worst part was at checkout. I initially planned to leave a tip, but after thinking about the quality of the service, I reduced the amount. The woman looked at what I gave her and said, "That's all?" She then pointed to a sign saying the tip was supposed to be 20%. I explained that their own sign says tips are appreciated. A tip is optional and based on the service received I had already paid the full price for my service. Customers should never be pressured or shamed into leaving a certain percentage, especially after receiving a disappointing service. Between the poor customer service, lackluster massage, noisy environment, and uncomfortable interaction over the tip, I will not be returning.

They also spend some time on your arms, back, shoulders, and head.
