After interviewing multiple surgeons, we met Dr. Brown. Although based in Connecticut, he spent over 30 years practicing in Manhattan, and that experience is evident. As both an attorney and a pharmacist, I evaluate professionals critically, and I do not make this statement lightly--Dr. Brown is among the most professional and knowledgeable physicians I have encountered in my career. His approach to patient care, transparency, and clinical judgment aligned directly with our expectations. Dr. Brown took the time to thoroughly explain the procedure, risks, and expected outcomes. My wife ultimately trusted his expertise fully and gave him discretion within her goals. The procedure lasted approximately 2-3 hours, and the recovery exceeded expectations--she returned to work the next day and resumed working out within three days, which speaks to both surgical technique and planning. I was looking for Dr. Fosters updated information for a friend and all these memories came flooding…read moreback. He absolutely was the best surgeon I could of been blessed with. Another so called surgeon - never did his 'job', never removed the debris from the wound. This other dr. never did anything but sew it back on, stick me in a whirlpool for my hand everyday , and pumped me full of meds. Funny thing is he stopped the collection of the bill b/c he knew he screwed up. Not Dr. Stanley Foster - he was a blessings. Anyway, 6 weeks of being treated by the 1st dr.,my finger began to literally rot. I went to Dr. Foster on a Monday, I was in the OR the following morning. The office staff arranged everything within hours. Insurance, OR, anesthesia, etc.. He the removed the finger, cleaned the wound, re-attached the digit & within 6 weeks I had full movement. Important for a woman, right hand, pointer finger to be there & be healthy. I believe that I wouldn't of even had a finger left if I stayed with Dr. Douglas Wisch.
